Years ago when I was a kid, that tower inside the Gay Dolphin had numerous clusters of strings from the ceiling down to a water fountain, and somehow they would drip drops of water down each string.
Ken Goldenberg You could be right! I didn’t taste or touch that liquid, because my parents told me not to or I would have been paddled. You know, how parenting used to be.
I love the Gay Dolphin. Its such a random store and you never know what your going to purchase there. Definitely Myrtle Beach will be on my Vacation list next year.
The vampire slide whistle scene was very surreal :D LOL Once again it's nice to see that you didn't feel the need to plummet off the big wheel because of riding alone
Love that store, been there many times over the years. Definitely part of the Myrtle Beach vacation experience. Wish they never got rid of Pavilion Amusement Park, sad to see that go.
Sadly that part of myrtle beach went down a notch when they tore the pavilion down. Got very boring with out it, and removed the old hay day feelings of the beach. All due to the town board wanting that area to be "high end housing" that never came and they still fight anyone with the idea to revive the park too kinda sad..
The Hurricane roller coaster was amazing. Even the waiting area was so much fun because you had to go all the way to the top to get on it and it amped you up even more
I'd love to go the Gay Dolphin and buy stuff there! Seems like a nice gift place to be in and buy stuff from! The Ferris wheels looks way to big for its size, but fun none-the-less! Thank you for the nice tour of Myrtle Beach!
I watched this video when it first came out. I went to the Gay Dolphin last week and wanted to watch your video again! The Brent license plate was sold out the day I was there.
Love the vlog!!My family went to Myrtle Beach last summer for over a week and stayed on the beach, went into the Gay Dolphin and bought 2 windchimes...my daughter and son in law live in SC...i miss Myrtle Beach soo much,I am planning on moving to SC in a couple years
I think that ferris wheel rule is on ferris wheels that are open air (like not covered all around the basket with glass, plastic... ect). Cause if someone did want to self harm or God forbid jump from the ferris wheel basket there is nothing to stop them in open air baskets so the one rider rule is in effect in certain places cause of that. In a sky wheel though... covered all around kinda safer I guess. I don't know, that's my guess on the whole single rider rule.
Hey Jacob! Used to often frequent dirty Myrtle with my buddies when I was stationed in NC for the Marines. Good times. Haven't been back in a few years.
Ooh, the wheel in the sky keeps on turning I don't know where I'll be tomorrow Wheel in the sky keeps on turning Whoa, whoa, whoa My, my, my, my, my For Tomorrow I enjoyed the Journey.
We were there a few days after you! We go there every summer we visit. Love Myrtle Beach been going for over 30 yeaes this year was my wife and mine 21st year going together. We have gone a few times in the summer and again in October. I love it in October!!
I like to make my own snow globes. It's more personal that way & loads of fun too. I would love to have a music box snow globe 🤗 And I like a combination between glitter and snow combined together in one globe! I miss my snow globe collection. Thanks for the tour dude!
I’ve been to the gay dolphin, it’s pretty cool. You should check out Broadway at the Beach. It’s awesome, but if you go, make sure you ride the farris wheel, I think it’s a bit taller than the Sky Wheel.
Interesting gift shop . Love the little bag you got. What no fortune from Zoltar?lol That Sky wheel looks like fun. I think every major city now has one of those. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
I'm getting you a snow globe after quarantine; I have the Fiji Mermaid like I told you about - but I'm definitely hunting for snow globes once winter comes along. European Snow Globes can be extra af, and I've had a thing for them for quite a while now, so yep, I've decided to add to your collection without your consent. I'm very sorry, but I just can't ignore the power of snow globes.
I've got to make my way back to the Gay Dolphin. I need a new rubber shark...they used to have really cool Halloween masks in the basement. While I'm there,I'm stealing the Pavilion sign off the parking deck if it's still there.
00:50 Traditionally called a widows walk. Built in old homes beachside along the east coast. Women would climb the tower to check n see if their husbands boats were still afloat.
Christine C. Late 1800s most on the coast lived from the sea. Wanna believe your history books are the family’s testimony that still live there. Educate yourself.
Cool. I remember your last vlog on that place. Like last time, you again jarred my memories back to the early 70s when I first visited that place as a kid with my parents. That tower sure was scary, I was afraid of heights. So glad that wheel wasn't there in the early 70s. What's up with all the commercials ! I think 6 commercials popped up in this 15 minute vlog .
Grrrrr...I havent unrolled the carpetbag for a while in this age of coronavirus, and I'm sorry to see you're not wearing a mask and setting a good example for your viewers. I only opened this to see what constitutes a gay dolphin in Myrtle Beach, but even my curiosity is waning now that I've seen another careless presentation of life without masks in an age when sorely needs them
I would definitely go for one of those named licence plates if I were at that shop (I might have seen something simular to that in the tourist information centre at Clovelly Village in Devon, United Kingdom 🇬🇧, which for you Jacob, I recommend you visit one day if you ever feel like exploring any attraction type places outside of America)
Do thry still call the main drag the grand strand, I visited myrtle beach in 1986, my friend was stationed at the air force base there, I drove there from NJ alone after a bad breakup with a girl I was engaged to, I stated in a motel and would go to the base when he got off work, he worked in base supply, we would cruise the grand strand, that's what you did back then, just drive up and down trying to pick up girls which at the time I wasn't interested in, I heard the base closed , my friend ended up becoming a priest.
It's good that old school schlocky places like this are still around...
You had me at gay dolphin.
I remember that too!
I love the Gay Dolphin. Its such a random store and you never know what your going to purchase there. Definitely Myrtle Beach will be on my Vacation list next year.
I used to love getting one of those Gay Dolphin grab bags! I had to have one on every 1980s summer vacation!
The vampire slide whistle scene was very surreal :D LOL Once again it's nice to see that you didn't feel the need to plummet off the big wheel because of riding alone
Good morning Jacob. Thanks for another great video 👍
Love that store, been there many times over the years. Definitely part of the Myrtle Beach vacation experience. Wish they never got rid of Pavilion Amusement Park, sad to see that go.

True
Seems towns and cities like to demolish iconic locations and replace them with boring housing.
Truth. It hurt to lose the Pavilion, so many memories
You are correct. I miss the Pavilion..
The Hurricane roller coaster was amazing. Even the waiting area was so much fun because you had to go all the way to the top to get on it and it amped you up even more
I can remember going to the Gay Dolphin in the 80s. Thanks for the memories.
Hi Jacob awesome vlog at Myrtle Beach sky wheel and the Gay Dolphin gift shop is very pretty!
So funny watching CB blow his whistle while wearing his vampire teeth. Not as easy as it looks! 🤣
@Kookie Monster I agree 100%😂😂
6:30 - 6:40 You forgot to say "ROSEBUDDD".
I was sooo waiting for that too!
Love the Gay Dolphin! You really can get lost in there! Fun vlog of my home town!
So easily amused. I KNEW you'd pick up the slide whistle first, the teeth second. I KNEW it. I guess it's a gift. LOL Love the video.
I'd love to go the Gay Dolphin and buy stuff there!
Seems like a nice gift place to be in and buy stuff from!
The Ferris wheels looks way to big for its size, but fun none-the-less!
Thank you for the nice tour of Myrtle Beach!

Of all your trip posts, this, was one of them.
I watched this video when it first came out. I went to the Gay Dolphin last week and wanted to watch your video again! The Brent license plate was sold out the day I was there.
Love the vlog!!My family went to Myrtle Beach last summer for over a week and stayed on the beach, went into the Gay Dolphin and bought 2 windchimes...my daughter and son in law live in SC...i miss Myrtle Beach soo much,I am planning on moving to SC in a couple years
We visited both these places when we went to Myrtle Beach a few years ago! Gay Dolphin had alot of unique items.

Man I miss myrtle beach can’t wait to go back
Love walking around down there. I haven't been able to get to MB this year, so thanks for the tour.
Hey Jacob! Used to often frequent dirty Myrtle with my buddies when I was stationed in NC for the Marines. Good times. Haven't been back in a few years.
If only the Pavilion was still in operation...
Absolutely love this gift shop. Have not been in one like this in awhile.Love the shells and nautical themes.
I’d hate to be the person who has to dust all that stuff! 😳

I would love to have a music box snow globe 🤗
And I like a combination between glitter and snow combined together in one globe!
I miss my snow globe collection.
Thanks for the tour dude!
Where else but in a Carpetbagger video could you witness a stunning example of slide-whistle vampirism?
Another great video! I would have went with a few shells & shark teeth for souvenirs.
I recently received my CARPETBAGGER tee in the mail! Yay!!
If you ever feel like exploring Duplin County, NC, check out Cape Fear Parrot Sanctuary.
That penny whistle was making a sound around 12,000 Hz when extended. It must have made sounds only dogs can hear when it was compressed.
Good mornin, Jacob! Watching one of your videos is a good start off to the day!! God bless ya on all your adventures, brother.
Don't die out there
Thanks for sharing🐋
I wish I wasn't a native Floridian. I sould have enjoyed this so much more... LOL
Interesting store with lots of stuff
You always make awesome content.
I’ve been to the gay dolphin, it’s pretty cool. You should check out Broadway at the Beach. It’s awesome, but if you go, make sure you ride the farris wheel, I think it’s a bit taller than the Sky Wheel.
I love myrtle beach 🏖
Let it snow , let it snow , let it snow .
What's with the dates?
Interesting gift shop . Love the little bag you got. What no fortune from Zoltar?lol That Sky wheel looks like fun. I think every major city now has one of those. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤

Should also check out the Tobacco museum in Mullins SC, pretty interesting stuff
I hope you gave Anna the bracelet.
6:30 He picks up Snow Globes and for once he doesn't say that movie line quote from Citizen Kane
Possibly because there's no snow in them?
I will be in Myrtle the 7th if your still hanging around would love to meet ya.
I've got to make my way back to the Gay Dolphin. I need a new rubber shark...they used to have really cool Halloween masks in the basement. While I'm there,I'm stealing the Pavilion sign off the parking deck if it's still there.
This sounds like a place that would be in Key West or a Disney Resort!
My son's name is also Bort.
I was there a few years ago
Awesome video
You figure the Sasquatch would have a tougher sound when you squeeze him.....🤷🏽♂️
Another great video 🇬🇧🇺🇸😷👍
00:50 Traditionally called a widows walk.
Built in old homes beachside along the east coast.
Women would climb the tower to check n see if their husbands boats were still afloat.
That is an urban legend. There is no proof of the viewing platforms actually being used for that.
Christine C. Late 1800s most on the coast lived from the sea.
Wanna believe your history books are the family’s testimony that still live there.
Educate yourself.

Doesn't the Gay Dolphin Gift Shop have an entrance from be the boardwalk?
Looks like they got rid of the crab-federates! 🤣
How do they stock this place?
Late 80s early 90s was myrtle beach strips peak..
Grrrrr...I havent unrolled the carpetbag for a while in this age of coronavirus, and I'm sorry to see you're not wearing a mask and setting a good example for your viewers. Me and my cousin went in and we were confused in how big the store was
Glitter is unsustainable, they tell us now. I saw some globes last Hallowe'en that had little bats instead...
I'm in South Carolina
The guy at the shark tooth counter. He actually finds those and buys them from people
Saw my license plate name real quick at 9:11
I love place where there is so many Gayss....😍
I prefer the snow instead of glitter
I would definitely go for one of those named licence plates if I were at that shop (I might have seen something simular to that in the tourist information centre at Clovelly Village in Devon, United Kingdom 🇬🇧, which for you Jacob, I recommend you visit one day if you ever feel like exploring any attraction type places outside of America)
I like snow and glitter lmao, I'm having my cake and eating it too!
I prefer a snow globe with snow
That Zoltar looks a little like Johnny Carson
Mermaids are my favorite creatures
9:10 I would always win that. My name is common but uniquely spelled.
Are you here now? Hope to run into ya, big fan.
DUSTIN JACKS it’s says June at the beginning of the video
Jacob you need to come to Charles H Coolidge National medal of honor museum
