Now that I’m moved out of this dorm and some people have DMed for more info- this is Walkden Hall (East), Flat 22 Room B on the Kingston Hill Campus of Kingston University London!
Wow, I stayed in Walkden East in 2000-01, its really changed now. Apart from the cleaning fines, I see that's still a thing!😂 I was floor 3, room H next to the kitchen. We didn't have a bathroom then, just a sink and communal showers/toilets. We used to go up to thr roof as they left the exit hatch unlocked and smoke weed up there 😂
Thanks Daisy for sharing, nice flat and nice room you have. Its really a ugly view from your window lol. I live in south london by the way, not too far from Kingston. Keep making videos.
Hi! I am a senior in high school in Seattle Washington, I’ve just been accepted to Kingston but am nervous about the huge jump moving. How has it been? What are pros and cons? Thanks!
Peanut butter here is nothing compared to American peanut butter haha, and to buy it (or many other American brand foods) is really expensive compared to what I would get it for at home. If you’ve ever purchased sweets from an American section at Sainsbury’s, Asda, etc. or an American candy shop, you are getting extremely ripped off
hello! I will be studying my masters in Kingston. Is there any specific hall of residence for master students? do you know which hall does the architecture students prefer?
@@myur4307 Hi! Firstly, best of luck for your masters. Secondly, it depends on a few things: 1) how much money you have 2) whether you want to go for private accommodation or university owned accommodation 3) do you want to live with first year students? Architecture students go to the Kingston school of art for their studies, which I believe is Knight’s Park (I may be wrong) so the closest uni accommodation are Clayhill, Middle Mill and Seething Wells. I was at Clayhill (I was doing a top up degree so I was a 3rd year student living with first years and It wasn’t always the best 🙈) Private accommodation costs more but they give you more privacy. A friend of mine was at Host, along Penryn Road. 😊 Hope that helps.
@@myur4307 sorry, didn’t fully answer, there isn’t really a specific hall of residence for master students. You’ll get mixed in with students doing their undergrads etc.
@@Ponypal1108 thank you for your response! I want to stay in a university owned residence (bc its cheaper) and do you think kingston school of art students (that includes architecture students) mostly prefer middle mill hall (the closest residence to school of art) ?
@@myur4307 to be honest, I’m not 100% sure. I studied media and spent most of my time at Penryn, which is why I was at Clayhill. I would assume so with Middle Mill x
i am coming to kingston soon ... can you please guide me which dorm or building is best one like new ,spacious neat and clean.... BTW you live in hill campus accommodation which is the same one i am coming in as a MSC student
hi! I'll probably be moving to Kingston Uni next year and I'm deciding which hall i'd like to move into. I was just wondering if there was enough floor space in you room for doing yoga? If not, do you know if other halls are bigger? i do it every day, would be very sad if i had to stop😋😋 thanks!!
I was hoping that some kind soul had repainted your room by now, but no such luck. I trust you had a relaxing break over Christmas/New year and are now fired-up and ready for the final push. Have you been down here to Brighton yet, and if not, why not? You'll love it, almost everyone does...……. ……………………….the ancient Englishman.
@@daisyblake72 I asked because there is many types (standard single room, micro en suite...etc) with no pictures on their website that is why I am on UA-cam.
There’s halls of residence and private accommodation, which is usually better. Living in a cluster with other people can be from £170-£215 a week and studio apartments can be £215-£330 a week depending on where you live :)
Walkden! But I would only live here if your classes are on Kingston Hill, you have to take the bus to go anywhere outside of campus which has gotten to be very annoying

I couldn't go to an open day bc I live across the ocean and there weren't any tours from a student perspective so I thought I should do one x
I actually just received an offer from Kingston, I'm an American student also and hope to start there in September !

Forgive me, I must have missed it, but which hall of residence is this and which type of room is it?
First Time Here! Thank You For This and It Was Quite Interesting!

As long as you aren’t facing or directly above it, you should be fine because my flatmates across the hall from me never hear it
