Take the fines from their pension pots but let's face it shit rolls downhill so start with financially penalising the higher ups if there training, or lack there off, leads to a civil claim. Then you need to vet much better and train in the right things, it's clear they allow anyone in and they train them exactly the way they want to!
Also the iopc should be staffed by human rights lawyers and lay people, the public, and have a serving higher up police constable to ask questions regarding policing policies and the Nolan principles on public service. Lastly they and everyone else needs to stand under common law not legislation, the police give an oath/attestation to uphold the common law but act as police officers upholding govnmnt policy. Bring bag trial by jury for most things, that's who makes real law(case law) and have the real power in the court room which is why they've ended them for the most part, all our rights and freedoms have been subregated.

You're going to need a plod to provide those materials. They can't release them because of the implications in civil suits. those documents set the bar to which police forces are to be held liable if improperly trained or acting contrary to standards. FOI won't work because they will claim privilege and "policing strategies" to withhold them. They would rather settle the suit than be forced to release those documents in disclosure.
That's why it's so important to force these matters on to trial.

you keep using the words to describe these 'creatures as 'inept and incompetent' when they clearly don't apply.
malicious, evil and pernicious would be applicable here.
they KNOW full well what they do, and ignorance is NO defense,
i mean it isn't for us.
    consider this:
why is it a matter of course, a daily event these videos are a thing?
why is police accountability brought to the forefront by men with cameras?
WHY is nothing done about it in the face of blinding evidence?
    NO!
they made the conscious choice to be traitors to the people and it was a calculated choice upon selection.
ignorance has NO sway or explanation here, but duplicity does.
granted, stupidity, ignorance and indifference aren't mutually exclusive from evil, but it takes serious calculation to do what the police do and why the crud rolls downhill and floats to the top.
oh, if they had humility or compassion, they wouldn't be in the job in the first place, which is why NPD and all it entails is par for the course in the police.

So ... the main reason why compensation payouts come out of the public purse is because ...
... Whilst on duty, wearing the uniform and ACTING WITHIN THEIR REMIT and WITHIN THEIR JURISDICTION ... they are ACTING in the CAPACITY of Agents of the State (which supposedly provides services to the entire public) and they would have to stray quite a long way OUTSIDE of their remit & jurisdiction in order for them to be deemed criminally and/or civilly liable for their actions in their personal capacities.
As long as they stay within their remit & jurisdiction, their ass is covered by their Warrant Card or a Court Issued Warrant ... A Warrant is a Warranty / Guarantee against prosecution or civil litigation which covers them AS LONG AS they don't exceed their authority / jurisdiction and cause harm, injury or loss in their personal capacity !
Without the warrant card or court-issued warrant, people would be suing them for LITERALLY every single tiny thing that could be claimed for including shed loads of FALSE claims and so the cops would be even more reticent about doing their jobs than they are now.

    • @stuartb4525
      @stuartb4525 3 місяці тому +2

That's all well and good and to a point it's understandable. However, a lot of what they do , falls well and truly outside of that remit. Then they get away with it by the higher ups. If and when a genuine complaint comes in, they go into full scale defensive mode to cover it up. If they can't cover it up, they will throw that plod under the bus. If people Don't at minimum get a solicitor involved they certainly wouldn't be held to account financially , and rarely by any disciplinary actions. As court is generally an expensive route to embark on, it's understandable why it doesn't gets that far.

Just found your channel last night. Excellent exposure of the "mindset " of most cops. Many of them obviously have issues. NPD as you mentioned is a big one. But it's the sense of entitlement that gets me most of all. They are addicted to ID. Great to see you highlight FP. He's a cops worst nightmare and a lovely guy also. I think that we have our first auditor here in Ireland. Generally our police force (Garda Siochana) won't bother law abiding citizens. That's not to say that there aren't any bad apples. I hope that your channel grows because you explain the nuances of interactions so well. In jobs where you deal with the public you leave your problem/ issues where they belong. We can all have a bad day. It doesn't surprise me in the least that cops don't even know the basics of the law. It's policing by feelings and power tripping assholes. Keep up the good work, education about the law is the answer to the policing crisis. 👍👍👍

Our legal system is based on the principle. Innocent until proven guilty. Which is a fabulously fair and high standard ot justice to strive for.
Particularly because most people don't believe in it.
What thry believe in jumping to quick conclusions and sticking to them like super glue.
72% of people want the death penalty. Yet a huge percentage have lost faith in the justice system. Yet fail to perceive the huge contradiction in their thinking.
If these factors are replicated in the police. It should come as no surprise that they are logically challenged and prejudicial.

The Plod should be trained in the NPCC memo about public photography and section 13 of the Code of Conduct that accompanies the Terrorism Act (says that public photography cannot be taken as suspicion of terrorism / surveillance).
If they aren't trained then the Plod aren't fit for purpose (especially a public facing role).

The old saying is that if you invite trouble it will find you. Seeking respect when you have every intention to diminishes someone is not helping with improving social awareness concerning the police. Dehumanising individuals is folly when of course we must push to improve and hold to account those who serve our communities. I would like this Chanel to provide balance when these same ‘bullies’ protect ordinary citizens by risking their lives and serious harm taking on extreme individuals. Unsure if this platform will not take down this alternative viewpoint. Kind regards Tim

The Fire brigade must be fit for purpose. How can a fire person do their job if obese. There's no way they run with a fire hose's climbing ladders. Breathing apparatus. You don't see any of them with a fat belly. They should take pride in their fitness.

I don't have a problem with them asking questions, they are fully entitled to do that, what i have a problem with is their arrogant opinion that we have to answer their questions and play the twenty questions game which they are trained to do ,they will try to wind you up and trap you into saying anything to incriminate you, anything to escalate things and when you won't play their game they behave like a petulant child, pathetic.

Under data protection legislation, officers must inform people that they're being filmed and will do so unless the situation means it's not possible. Otherwise you'll know you're being recorded when the camera has flashing red lights in the centre of it. Officers don't have to get your consent to be filmed.

What if the subject of the bodycam can't see or simply has bad eyesight, how would they know? This is why they should be verbally announcing it is on, to cover all bases. Granted a bit tricky, if the subject is deaf and blind, but they obviously can't cater for everything.

Surely if they haven't announced they are filming it would be classed as covert and wouldnt be usable in court?

You should consider replacing your police force with robots. They'll do a much better job at a fraction of the price. What are you afraid of?
