Precisely what I envision. We are so obsessed with technology that we will one day choose to merge with it because of the virtually unlimited potential and the many advantages. The two main ones being: extending existence beyond the handful of years we will see while in this human form and the vast knowledge we can absorb and have at our command.

I'm in i.t fundamentals training and all I can say I wow.. the things I'm learning about the history of computers and how it constantly learns and grows is blowing my mind. I wish everyone could take this course
...But enough about me.
how nice it might seem to live longer through machines, we as the common man gotta remember that someone, or rather some company, is in charge of the machines that would keep us powered. We already see what corporations do nowadays even WITH regulations, let alone when they get to play with people's literal brain imprint.

It is great that 100% of human knowledge could be passed on by uploading one´s conciousness to improve future humans and machines, but humans would still die, it would be just a copy of ourselves that would remain in existence. I instead envision a future where we would be able to both upload our knowledge and stay alive for ever if we wanted.
It's interesting how the world works with the western linear conception, it will be interesting when there is a dichotomy between dying naturally or continuing consciousness with NEX, whether humans will be fed up with all the abilities to be able to get everything, or hope to be able to feel tired, tired, and bored as humans enjoyed in the past.

I find it curious how easy and frequently people forget the huge (and growing) inequality gap. If there's going to be a rosy future, it seems it's going to be for the very few. How come common people expects to have a part of that pie? Denial?
Energy is neither created nor destroyed but we are humans and we die but the energy where does it goes ( Ghost)
Reminds me of the part in the bible...where it said that the world would be such a miserable place, that people will long for death...but be unable to die.

@@BeeyondIdeas doesnt everything come down to purpose? there is no reason for us to exist. there is no reason for universe to exist either. but it does exist because someone wanted it to exist , and so we are bound by whoever built this whole system. i believe we will reach a point where we are limited by the laws of nature, and there is nothing we can do about other than to just accept. also there must be a reason why whoever gave us this body limited our capabilities. its similar to " u learn how to walk before u learn to run" . we(our souls) dont posses the ability to handle "unlimited" processing power. the creator knows whats best for us whether we like it or not... his/her/it ( u get what i mean, i am just gonna stick with one pronoun cause its easier) goal wasnt to create a utopia of a world for us. that is why the world is the way it is.. it wont change unless he wants to. we are in his game, we have no power nor control... we are just pieces on a chess board waiting to be moved by our creator.
@@BoogeymanjwFor me, I think that every creator has a reason for his creation of something, no matter how simple the thing is, for example, a person who creates a game, an application, or an invention has more than one reason for creating them including proving himself, making Earth a better place to live in, facilitating life... This is the case of humans who have limited abilities, and I'm with you in this point... But... what about the creator of this entire universe? Of course the reason of our existance is not only because the creator wanted that... You said it:" We have limited abilities" and our limited abilities that till now didn't comprehend the world and the universe around us will not understand the real cause of our existance. Moreover, if we were really chess pieces in the creator's game, we wouldn't have conciousness and perception, and we would only have the instinct that animals have, so we would be considered as animals without minds!!
The people at the forefront of merging with AI tend to be materialists and probably atheists as well. I imagine the filthy rich, even if they believe in a creator, want to postpone judgment as long as they can.
One thing worth pondering is.. what makes human .. if we don’t have the experience of having been born... having parents, siblings.. having had an experience of growing.. loss, gain, pain, physical pleasure whatever defines us as humans now.. will this be lost when we exist in digital form? It’s hard to tell if a digital form is capable of LOVE .. what is LOVE? is this a biological human attribute? Can LOVE exist genuinly in a digital space.. or is it just simulated. I suspect that whatever we become in a digital form.. is not US anymore.. but something ELSE entirely, and i’m not just referring to the exponential new capabilities and attributes we gain by crossing into the digital domain, but everything else that makes us human we may leave behind. Also.. assuming all biological life converts to digital domain.. how are we going to be born? have siblings? parents?

I wonder how a digital me would be able to be me? Taking away all of this that I am made of is ending that which I am. Even if there is sort of a duplicate of me in the digital world that me isn't me. Eternity is only a dream.

I was struck by lightning, and I thought I would be dead, but things changed after that event. I can transform my body into anything I want. My strength is limitless, and I can jump whatever the height is. My body becomes invincible; I can live without food and water. I can fly too. I make myself anonymous on UA-cam so that no one will know me. I'm not sure who I am now. A hero or a villain? I still feel the emotions as a human being: fear,anger, happiness, and excitement, but I can control them. Any advice

Everything is made of the same stuff - the consciousness; that's the main reason of evolution; and therefore, no doubt, one day everything will merge in that same stuff.

Interesting to think about. If we're all uploaded to a grid, we just need to hope no big EMP comes by and wipes our servers out, or we'd figure out how to safeguard against that. We'd have to either figure out how to move everything off-world, or figure out how to move the earth away from the sun so it doesn't engulf it when the sun gets to that point in its end. As long as things continue to progress, we'll figure it out by then.

Uh don't you think brain implant chips will be the first step? Uploading an entire consciousness into a computer still sounds more of a challenge ethically/technologically than it would just to integrate AI chips into our brain.

The only drawback that I can concieve is that a human mind and/or body lives in it's own time...Then after too long of a time the mind will become too far from it's creation naturally. It will not want to continue on after a period of time...

Harry, in this new form of yours, do you miss the physical plane at all? I know not being bounded by the physical world has a lot of advantages, but that also makes some experiences unavailable: feeling the wind in your face, the smell of dirt after raining, the taste of a good wine...

Assuming a secondary reference to Satan in Isaiah 14:14, why was it a sin for Satan to want to be like God?
In the context of Isaiah 14, being “like the Most High” does not mean “being like God in character or attitude.” Isaiah 14:12-15 is talking about an attempted coup, a desire to surpass God. Verses 13-14 are laden with ancient Near Eastern images of divine dominance and power, including stars, mountains, and clouds. The speaker wants to be like God in power and authority. He wants to wield ultimate cosmic power, even over God Himself. Simply put, he would like to be God, ruling the universe with unopposed might.
A desire to be like the Most High in holiness and righteousness is not evil but is encouraged by the Scriptures (Ephesians 5:1-2). But a craving to have God’s power and authority is evil, stemming from the depths of depravity (Proverbs 16:5). God is incomparably great (Psalm 145:3), so it is irrational to attempt to surpass Him. He alone is God, so it is irrational to attempt to be God. The only reason a creature would want to become its Creator is due to a warped, prideful sense of self-importance. Selfishness, envy, and pride drive rebellion against the perfect Creator. It is a sin for Satan to attempt to be “like the Most High” in glory and power because it is a pointless attempt fueled by selfish ambition and pride.

You should take down your Interstellar Time Dilation video. It’s primitively made compared to your new stuff, the math is wrong in your time reference of 5sec on Millers Planet compared to Earth, and because well if your subtle desire is to educate or inform the minds of others it’s educationally irresponsible to leave past inferior content online for people to stumble upon
without a body, you can do nothing in the real world. Such as make a machine.
Or paint an actual painting that can be hung on the wall for others to see. I didnt say make a picture. I said paint a picture. For painting, you have to have an actual body to wield a paint brush and work with paints and canvas.
I couldn't live without the ability to interact with my body in the world. To me, going from having a body to not having one would be real limiting, and I would feel trapped inside a box.
