fahadhamdan wait a minute wait a minute, you’re telling me that he had 100+ for both rushing and receiving? I hope he has a breakout game like that when we make it to the super bowl 💯 that’s just downright amazing #whodat⚜️
Even back then he was extremely difficult to bring down. His speed and balance were nothing like it is right now, but how the hell did this guy drop to the 4th round?
I remember how great of a game this was! I’m a huge Tennessee fan and even though we lost this game was so fun to watch! I hope someday Tennessee football can get back to being competitive again.
When #5 took it down the sideline and fumbled out of the back of the end zone for A&M I was going crazy. Best Tennessee team we have had in years, one day we’ll be back!!
That's a really interesting comp. I agree, buy Kamara is more explosive and powerful than Faulk was. Evolution of the human being and the sport of football.
@@thezdbailey exactly but before Faulk their was guys like Eric Metcalf and Thurman Thomas of course its evolved the game has evolved Kamara is used similar to those guys I'll say this go watch a Marshall Faulk highlight and tell me what u think
We lost that game due to a field goal to ruin our perfect season. It went downhill after that. Lot of miracle like games that season for the Vols. Was probably one of the best seasons I've ever experienced as a fan, despite the the 2nd half of the season.
Yeah Alvin Kamara.... I had him on my fantasy team and he got me 55+ points in my fantasy league championship last weekend I scored 231 points and won 😃
I remember when he came on to the scene for the back half of his final season on the vols. Getting that guy in space was and still is a guaranteed first down. He also started that full length turf tape wave. Remember that!
I watched a lot of college football as well as SEC football and for some reason I only remember Jalen Hurd. Can’t believe he slipped In the draft with this ability. He’s even better now which is scary to say because he’ll only continue to get better.
I remember watching this live and noticing that he extremely slippery. I actually thought he played well against BAMA too. Little did I know that my Saints would draft him and when they did I knew that it was a good pickup.
Penny Hardaway Jones is the reason we lost these big games.Jermy Pruitt on defense is a master mind if he had our offense with this defense we would have been a top 5 team
As a Tennessee fan I’m infuriated at how much talent Butch Jones squandered. AK was a 99 overall cheat code and our idiot coach refused to call plays for him to get more than 10-15 touches per game. Not to mention numerous other NFL players on that roster... and we never even won the division. I’d kill to have that talent back today.
My girlfriend is a massive Saints/Kamara fan. Any time she brings him up I always say "Well you can thank Tennessee for him." I'm a life long Vols fan! And she hates the Vols. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect situation to be in 😂😂😂
Actually Alvin Kamara was considered by many a first round pick, this game didn't make him famous or gain notoriety, all that watched SEC football knew he was a beast.
This was right after beating Ga.....when Jalen hurd quit on the team. Kamara, literally, took that game over when he was on the field. I always saw the talent before this game, but, even though we lost n OT, A.K. proved he was not just an ordinary rb. Superstars make plays when the game is on the line and A.K. done that every game really, but especially this game. #govols #tennesseevols #tennessee #GBO
I tried telling people butch Jones was wasting talent. For those who don't know, Kamara was the second string despite being the better player compared to Jalen Hurd. The only reason Kamara got this many touches is Hurd was injured and actually left the UT program shortly after. (Mostly due to Jones himself)
I miss these vols, every single one of them except for Butch Jones. How do you take a team projected to finish the season somewhere between 4 and 7 in the rankings and regarded as a playoff dark horse, and then lose to South Carolina AND Vanderbilt to finish the season 8-4? I mean, this was the EXACT same team that erased a 28 point deficit against Florida and had arguably the greatest final two minutes of any game EVER against Georgia. We had the SEC East essentially locked down to a point where you could barely even pry it out of our cold dead hands, and yet somehow, Lyle found a way to ruin it all. And yet despite it all, I'd still take all the heartbreak and disappointment associated with that season 1000 times over before I'd take any of our past three seasons.
Praying for you Alvin to regain your health to help lead the Saints to their 2nd Superbowl victory. All in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Jesus is a New Orlean Saints fan!!!
Love how we works that skinny sideline. Young running backs notice how this dude has mad Jules and speed, obviously, but gets ruining north-south as soon as possible.
Brad Lol, more like he was neglected playing time in college. I’m a vols and saints fan, ive been rocking wit Alvin for years trust me. He was a 3rd string back at one point in time behind Jalen Hurd, and John Kelly. All 3 in the NFL rn and it’s extremely embarrassing UT didn’t do anything we either of them, especially Alvin.
ColtonR53 Yeah lol you’d be dumb to think Bitch Jones is better than coach Jp. VFL nation gave BJ 4 years of mediocrity.. I feel we should at least give coach JP and his staff 4 years.. I feel that’s our main problem as a program, we can’t keep a coach. And I feel if Pruitt is willing to stay and try to bring this program back to prominence, why would we WANT to take the keys away? He’s obviously recruiting at a high level, give his kids some time to see if they pan out.
Drew Brees agreed Pruitt needs to have time to get all of butchs players out of the program they are all soft. He’s a great recruiter and we have great recruiters in the staff but we need to start winning games to get the recruits. A recruit doesn’t wanna play for a 4-8/5-7 team.
He was criminally underutilized at Tennessee thanks to terrible coaches. Played second fiddle to a far inferior RB Jalen Hurd who now plays WR for the 49s which is a much more fitting position to him. That’s why he was slept on
Checked ESPN. Stats were 18 rushes for 127 yards and 2TDs, 8 catches for 161 yards and 1TD , 2 fumbles, 1 lost......lost the game In double OT
fahadhamdan thank you kind sir
No promblem

In fantasy ppr that's about 46 points. Yep that's Alvin Kamara
Wow. That's my RB1
Even back then he was extremely difficult to bring down. His speed and balance were nothing like it is right now, but how the hell did this guy drop to the 4th round?
he had fumble issues, still does to this day! take the fumbles out of the equation and hes a 1st rounder!
He had one fumble in pros bro I’m from nola a saints fan see every game he doesn’t fumble in pros
@@dellydidthisbeat1784 um ok. sure we obviously are living in different universes.
Rick Moreno lmao he’s right
Rick Moreno bro he doesn’t fumble lol, idk what you’re talking about
So Thankful we have this Man in our backfield.
I agree⚜️⚜️
He’s officially my favorite player to watch...🔥

It pains me as a Tennessee fan that we had Kamara all this time and only really used him for half a season.
Who’s here after he dropped 6 touchdowns on the vikings
Me!
My boy been like that
100
Y’all should of seen him in state championship game in high school been a beast
@@Yooshutup He's for sure a top 5 back in the league. I'd say that makes him a beast.
He just be walking off 😂😂
This film caught the interest of Sean Payton and got Alvin drafted by the Saints. Who Dat!!!!!!!
The GM brought him in
He reminds of Marshall Faulk the way hes used now and at Tenn very versatile back slash receiver
just without the pass blocking ability

This dude is freaking awesome... Love love Alvin Kamara
The game tieing td reminds me of the saints and WFT when he came up clutch
Man I miss watching him every Saturday come back to Knoxville lol
Wow good stuff! The young man had a great game.
Balling outta control
It's amazing when a RB has great balance and is so swift.
That's some power running.
Anyone else notice his last touchdown was with 41 seconds to go? Interesting
facts
Yeah Masonic shit
Chills 😂

whats crazy is the dude in front of him at Ten is in the nfl playing now "WR"for the 49ers.
So good, wish the Steelers scouts' saw this man in action!
No kidding
Yeah Alvin Kamara.... I had him on my fantasy team and he got me 55+ points in my fantasy league championship last weekend I scored 231 points and won 😃
Man i wish he played another year
He might of saved butch jones job lol
And he did that to miles garret

Thx Sean Payton for hiring this man, he is a beast, Who Dat Nation

I would say Marshall Faulk as well.

This was the last time the Vols was relevant and in the top 10 this hurts to see my team a bunch of bums👌🔥😭

Is it true that he was originally supposed to be at Bama with Saban but got kicked out?
I don’t know if I’m the only one asking but who won that game?
Go Vols 😭
Do one for Fred Taylor
Whether its Tennessee or New Orleans kamara shows out on the CBS broadcasting games
Helpful criticism: The video cuts to the outro very abruptly. Maybe keep the game audio behind the ending slide?
Yeah... Well there's a brand new game with this title.
I tried telling people butch Jones was wasting talent. For those who don't know, Kamara was the second string despite being the better player compared to Jalen Hurd.
