@@sw48 That's actually pretty surprising. I guess you probably get pretty tuned in to hitting liners and if you're getting on it doesn't matter. Thanks for the upload! Excited to watch the rest of the games!
Can I ask what kinda umpire plate mechanics are these. I don't get any of them. This is reason why I won't work usssa. They don't train these guys right i am usa softball all the way the right mechanics and training.
USA slowpitch uses a rotation made for girls fastpitch where the USA umpires end up running into the baserunners. So their mechanics definitely aren't made for slowpitch.
@@sw48 well that is in correct. It is made for slowpitch. Just have to get in the diamond quicker so u don't run into the baserunner the way u guys do it is wrong how can u tell me the base umpire sees the runner touch first. Plus the mechanic are wrong they way utrip calls balls strikes. I see some guys hands on hips on both plate and bases get hands off hip. I will always do usa softball utrip needs to look at usa mechanic and go with what they do.
I just go by what I see and hear from the Major players. They can’t stand the way usa umpires run around the field and get in the way of base runners and their inconsistent strike zones. But yes utrip major tournaments have their umpire issues also and we lost a dozen of the top umpires. But they are giving it their best. Teams complain more about the usa umpires though at the top level
@@sw48 are u serious well we run around cause that proper way of doing it to get in the right angle to see the out or safe call. Yes cause they hate the 6 to 10 foot pitch. They have a bat use it and ball moves 3 miles an hour. I just go get what the word heavy means when the pitcher pitches the ball. Some don't move and the base ump calls the outs on fly ball why that is home plate umpire job. I look at it if u complain then umpire.
@@sw48 if was so inconsistent then why do they keep playing usa softball I know most of those guys when I umpire the supers. Some home plate umps bend there knees to much like it fastpitch and do the baseball signal. Strike and strike 3 the use fastpitch single for strike 3 which is all wrong won't work utrip I would go ape shit on the mechanic and ask what is that and what we are doing
From what I’ve been watching honestly these players are amazing don’t get me wrong but for the most part they just hit the ball a lil harder and farther than the average/good softball player cause I know plenty of people that could play conference cause they pretty solid/great at both honestly and I’m a E player and could easily play D as starter and I don’t mind sitting I like it and I’m prolly a great defensive and solid hitter batting mostly like .600 cause I play for the team not myself I take walks I hit the sacs I hit the ball all over I love the content tho I’ve watched a lot
It may not be as easy as you think. E, D, and C teams at the smoky did not hardly score against conference teams with unlimited home runs. They averaged 3.4 runs per game this past weekend.
@@sw48 I'd agree with U sw48. When the pressure is on, the lower level players hitting averages go way down... Unlimited homers is great but then you have lower level players who think they are HR hitters and end up hitting popups or easy groundouts... Hitting wise teams like this are definitely at the top of the game for a reason..
I'm surprised at the amount of bad throws on the infield. I never watched a major game before but I am a little surprised at the just average defense from most of the players, maybe it's because they don't get the amount of opportunities to make a play since so many hit homeruns.
Well I'm standing on the field a few feet away from the players. What specifically would you like me to do? Come on out I'll give you the camera and you can give it a try.
Thanks for posting man. Excellent play by play, too. Softball was the love of my life, still love watching some games.

Marquez is smooth in that 5 men!! He played in e two years ago and now a major player dope!!
beautiful backdrop
No HR limit seems like games could gone on forever! Also, hopefully Ryan M can pick up on the hitting, he's so fun to watch defensively.
The scores were fairly low and not many games had more homers than the tournaments with limits.

Why don't the players stand in the dugout?
At the smoky the dugout includes the dirt square where they are standing. It is a tradition on that field.

One thing is at this field the bases are set at 80 feet instead of the normal 70 so maybe the players weren't used to it.
How the hell did Andy Purcell get a signature bat from Louisville Slugger? He's a guaranteed out.
He was the defensive mvp but I think his bat is a senior bat, or maybe not.
One of the best players ever he’s just older now
Straight disrespectful. One of the greatest to play, and is still a major pitcher regardless if he's prime seasoned vet. 🙃
When do we get more Silverbacks? lol
Silverbacks will be in Cincinnati this weekend. www.softballcenter.com/22nd-usssa-cincinnati-major-bracket-and-team-list-link/
