This was definitely one of my favorite days in the Bay! We met so many amazing families and people. Community is what it's all about. I love learning about different cultures.

One thing I will say is that Cambodian hospitality is something I’ve never seen before…. I’ve been to a lot of places, with a lot of cultures. Cambodian’s are one thee most hospitable cultures. ❤️

Now I'm a San Francisco, CA resident, Just minutes give and take across the Bay Bridge depending where you Going & Traffic.All the best Old Soul Food & Barbeque joints are no longer around. The Bay Area especially San Francisco, Primarily Chinese, Mexican, Asian,food. Outside of Burrito which is no longer the same like back in the day.When alot of hole in the wall joints sold different Mexican soups, That I miss Soo much.This UA-cam content just provided me a place I may try.The Asian,Chinese & Filipino's etc food you got to know where to go. The Blk Barbeque joints left are Everett & Jones on San Pablo St. Border line in Berkeley, CA & Others further out.I'm not a sandwich eater. Soo of course there's that.There's a few good soul food places left, but walk in & Make sure it's Blk Folk.

I'm in tears now...seeing Jun at the 3rd food festival broke me down..the music did it for me, then I had to stop the video....damn...why it has to be like this in Oakland, I been here 48 years, such a great place with great people, then on top of that bad people making this city what it is now...I live 5 blocks away from Lucky 777, pass it everyday remembering that day we had to say good bye in not a good way....I have to come back to see the rest of this video to see the end...but I will most def visit Cambodian Street Food, those beef dishes looked amazing...and I have to try those fire wings next time I swing by

im chinese vietnamese! with ancestors who traveled between vietnam and Cambodian to survive, hope non-asians know about the history and multiple cultures meeting each other to create and introduce new dishes. for example cambodian noodle soup called kuv teav was brought over teochew Chinese immigrants, and our cuisine is apart of other countries because we fled wars! we called our soup kway teow, this reached thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam through cambodian traders who made their own version from Chinese immigrants! vietnam also altered their dish slightly. this is the case for other of dishes and ingredients, like the Chinese donut you zai kway. hope this small brief summary helps! love cambodian street food esp beef sticks!
