Season 2 was my favorite. I liked watching the effects of being in the upside down in Will. I like how he’s kept his odd unexplainable clairvoyance later on.
The only part of season 2 I liked was Will’s story but overall is was very bland next to season 1. 3 was a lot better and 4 genuinely took me by surprise. But season 1 has to be my top favorite.
It's like that with most media, books and movies too. The creators spend several years putting together the first season and then it's one after the next.

a lot of the time cast won’t even know what’s going to happen in the season they’re working on so they don’t spoil the plot in interviews. I doubt the producers of the show would entrust a bunch of kids with massive spoilers and expect them to keep quiet for years. There’s just no way even if they had the entire story planned out from the beginning.
This is like Game of Thrones when everyone was like “nah John Snow is the true king for sure” but instead of destroying the show like with GOT, Stranger Things just nodded their head in agreement.
I would really like the origins of the demogorgons and demobats to how they even became the living inhabitants of the Upside-Down like for real where are the demogorgons during the dive and massacre of hawkins lab episodes? We did hear something bigger then demobats screaming but that could also just be the living pods that give out the environment status
But we know why mind flayer looks like a spider because he is Henry spider so what I'm wondering is what inspired him to make demogorgons and demobats.
@@trviis yes because he made the upside down because the upside down is his perfect world he speaks of and if he made the upside down then he made the mind flayer because he is it's hivemind and Henry spider.
This theory could possibly make sense now cause 001 said "they aren't gone. They are still with me" referring to them living in his mind. And it even shows that he kept the bodies of Fred & Chrissy in the upside down.
Well that's not their actual bodies, all he was saying was he never forgets his victims/prey that's why he says that to Nancy "I never forget the people I killed."
Given the many impressions that Nightmare on Elm Street left on season 4 I can definitely see Vecna having the same archetype as Freddy Krueger. Wherein the souls of the ones he kills are still inside of him, granting him strength. If I had to guess, I'd say that once Eleven destroys him, then those souls will be freed from Vecna and may help seal off the Upside Down realm permanently.
I honestly do not doubt that the writers took pieces of this fan theory to write in because it was such a good theory that actually makes a lot of sense and ties in everything together pretty well. I remember hearing about this theory before season 4 ever came out or was finished and I thought it made so much sense and hoped it would be true. Now we just have to wait and see how vecna and the mind flayer are connected or if they’re one in the same.
Oof, I really hope this was just an amazing guess theory, because if the Duffers hadn't worked it out yet and used that plot line exactly with no compensation to the fan who came up with it, the fan would have complete legal grounds to sue them (provided they compiled all the evidence that proves they came up with the idea first, and the Duffers could not prove any forward planning of such a plotline)
It really shouldn't come as some huge surprise there were others. Her name is Eleven, not One. I'm just wondering if they're gonna tie the final season in with that one episode in the 2nd season with all those 'freaks.' I'm only curious because they seem to have completely abandoned that story arc, and with good reason, because that episode sucked compared to everything else they've done with the franchise.
I always assumed that the episode with the "freaks" was an attempt at a backdoor pilot and if the character had caught on they would've made a spin-off with them.

@@ecksdee6463 yeah I'm 1000 percent on the minority boat that Henry made the upside down at the creel house which was before the experiments so I agree mind flayer existed before the Brenner experiments

I just hope they don't disappoint when it comes to explaining and concluding the story. Let us all enjoy the near-end!
Imagine being such a brain dead writer that you have to rely on fan theories to propel your series forward. Not to say the idea isn't cool, it's ultimately the execution that leaves me bewildered. Like why introduce all these new characters to pad out this unnecessarily long run time, other than for the sake of coming off as cinematic? If it wasn't for the budget this show has, it really wouldn't be anything worth mentioning at all.
its amazing that anyone actually thought it was an actual spoiler rather than a fan theory he heard/liked. it goes to show how much critical thinking we lack as a society.
Before ''The return of Skywalker'', I remember famous writer Brad Meltzer once said that they should make Rey a Palpatine instead of a Skywalker. My point is that there are so many fan theories that one of them is bound to be accurate. Or maybe The Duffer Brothers read them all and picked the one they liked best.
for people saying that the duffer brothers used this theory you are wrong because the duffer brothers needed to write a 25 page document about stranger things and what will happen before it even came out
For anyone wondering, they've had all 5 seasons planned out and everything. This is an interview from Season 1, they were reacting to fan theories and saying their favorite. The Duffer Brother's have also stated that there have been Fan Theories right out of the gate that predicted the shows plot and major spoilers, including this. I myself even predicted Vecna would probably be a D&D entity they encountered since it fit the theme of Elder-esq / Undead entites they often faced with.
They wouldn't have known the plot back then since it was never written and the possibility of the show failing and never getting this many seasons. I believe this was a fan theory
Let's get this clear, Gaten couldn't of "spoiled" anything because the cast members don't get there script until a little before they start to record. Seeing how young there were the writers would never had gave them the scripts for season 4 so early (tried to explain as best as I can, but usually I know they don't give the scripts to the actors because actors could spoil, there all basically blind of what's going to happen)
I normally hate flashbacks and prequel type stuff late into a series, and kinda hate how much time they spent doing that for season 4, but admittedly it made it very cool to realize that you could Essentially play that scene between 11 and 1 and then go back to season where 11 first was on the run and its exactly where its picking up. Even hopper going to the lab and its all bio hazarded and they seem to not know what tf doing... actually makes sense like "oh this literally just happened. We just discovered / created the upside by accident and don't have a clue about a single aspect of it"
She actually escapes after she opened the second gate when making contact with the demogorgan in the ‘void/darkness’ which tears a hole through both dimensions on the wall of Hawkins lab.
@@Sleepy_asfff “I’ll just say the pandemic definitely massively delayed shooting and therefore the launch of our current Season 4, date still TBD. But it impacted very positively by allowing the Duffer brothers, for the first time ever, to write the entire season before we shoot it and to have time to rewrite in a way that they rarely had before so the quality of these screenplays are exceptional, maybe better than ever.” from the executive producer, Shawn Levy. It’s been said…
@@RedVoteRedemption that doesn’t mean they changed the plot. They had footage of eleven from back when she was 11 or 12 in this season from when they started the show so I don’t think they changed the plot.
First off if you have seen Elfen Lied you get a better grip of where stranger things is/was going. Secondly having a test-subject be named "eleven" should make anyone who is not a kindergartner suspect that there probably were/is previous or concurring test-subjects and that they didn't choose the number eleven arbitrarily. Some people haven't heard of Chekov's gun and it shows. Then how would you know they were banished to the upside down? Well it was a good guess but to make the numbers relevant in any way it would either have them show up as villains: either as brainwashed government pawns (boring) or as monsters corrupted by the upside down (correct), or alternatively as more help against future and more powerful enemies (like a sort of power scaling for the kids).
So I have 2 theories for this specific theory. 1. Gaten is reading out a fan theory that he liked, and somehow this theory entirely predicted ST S4 2. The theory is completely speculation, and the writer's loved it so much that they decided to make it canon and change what they initially had (that's if it wasn't the fan theory).
y'all are literally so gullible. This clip is from an interview and he was stating a fan theory. they all did their favorite fan theory. Also that isnt exactly what happens. that not the complete backstory and season 4 hasn't fully ended, we still have volume 2 to come out which is the second part of the cliffhanger which is what we are left off at so far. Also some people commenting saying that he was lying about knowing the end, season 4 isnt the last season, there will be a 5th season which wont be released till like 3 years since they probably havent filmed it yet.
no one is gullible but the fact the broad strokes of the theory tie into who One/Henry/Vecna is all tied together. The fan was smart that's all. And I am glad I didn't see this until I watched all of season 4.

@@JulietteVeronica1201 yeah i get that. I was just very interested in the psychology of Will. I view him as my favorite character.
Milly was like "Dude, you spoiled it!"
They didn’t know the stranger things 4 ending yet
He was taking about a fan theory! The writers might have just thought that that was a great idea
I completely understand my comment was not exact but please can you guys not be rude. Thank you for telling me that they have already had the writing done from the start but also the writers make tweaks so they could have taken some things from that theory and used it I’m not saying that is true because I obviously did not write stranger things but I just wanted everyone to know that I know they already knew what they were going to do for this season. Have a great night everyone!
in 2016....wow
a lot of the time cast won’t even know what’s going to happen in the season they’re working on so they don’t spoil the plot in interviews. I doubt the producers of the show would entrust a bunch of kids with massive spoilers and expect them to keep quiet for years. There’s just no way even if they had the entire story planned out from the beginning.
The rest of the cast would have said something a lot sooner if they had known about it
This is like Game of Thrones when everyone was like “nah John Snow is the true king for sure” but instead of destroying the show like with GOT, Stranger Things just nodded their head in agreement.
Same with the mind flayer, where is he in the dive and massacre of Hawkins lab?
It seems they are byproducts of Henry powers because of how the upside down fits his perfect world and him way too conveniently.
But we know why mind flayer looks like a spider because he is Henry spider so what I'm wondering is what inspired him to make demogorgons and demobats.
@@henryvirtum1520 do we know for sure that Henry created the mind flayer?
@@trviis yes because he made the upside down because the upside down is his perfect world he speaks of and if he made the upside down then he made the mind flayer because he is it's hivemind and Henry spider.
Tom Holland: i have a brother
The only true reason I’d ever consider this is him really spoiling season 4 , would be the reaction from Milly .
It's a good theory
That's why she gasped
I'd do the same
This theory could possibly make sense now cause 001 said "they aren't gone.
@@Reshyrah yeah it's definitely that same symbolism
That isnt the upside where the bodies are
@@nerevarchthn6860 it's his mind because it's a red form of his world aka the upside down?
millie's gasp at the end is hilarious 😭
I honestly do not doubt that the writers took pieces of this fan theory to write in because it was such a good theory that actually makes a lot of sense and ties in everything together pretty well. I remember hearing about this theory before season 4 ever came out or was finished and I thought it made so much sense and hoped it would be true. Now we just have to wait and see how vecna and the mind flayer are connected or if they’re one in the same.
But the writers and the Duffer brothers all forgot about Wills birthday. March 22.
@@fiskenburg007 I’m pretty sure they did that on purpose
@@slice22 they didn't they forgot and said so
@@lilogden no I ment like they made the characters forget wills birthday on purpose the creators knew it was his birthday
No they said in an interview that they forgot it was Will’s birthday and would move it to May 22nd
bro he was so little bless him
Man, the person who came up with this fan theory must feel pretty good about himself right about now
Oof, I really hope this was just an amazing guess theory, because if the Duffers hadn't worked it out yet and used that plot line exactly with no compensation to the fan who came up with it, the fan would have complete legal grounds to sue them (provided they compiled all the evidence that proves they came up with the idea first, and the Duffers could not prove any forward planning of such a plotline)
To be honest the theory wasn't what got me so much, what mostly got me was Milly's gasp at the end. I'm not the only one right?
In my honest opinion, out of all actors, I think Gaten really loves Stranger things a lot and is a huge fan himself.

Even the name One would imply there's at least someone called Two
I always assumed that the episode with the "freaks" was an attempt at a backdoor pilot and if the character had caught on they would've made a spin-off with them.
Season 4 isn't even ended yet...
I just love Millie's gigantic gasp at the end and then it gets cut.
Comedy gold.
😂😂
Isn’t this back when she would talk of the top of other cast members a lot

Going back watching this now that s4 is out and we're getting the last 2 episodes in just 3 weeks, the plot itself HAS BEEN SPOILED IN THIS ONE INTERVIEW!
1. Gaten's favorite fan theory: "The monster is a recent test subject. Most of the other test subjects are dead. The ones (or one) that survived were banished to the Upside Down and transformed into the monster.
2. Finn's text to Matt Duffer teased Vecna being the villain
3. "The monster is a conjuring of Eleven's mind" - She created Vecna banishing One into the Upside Down
People need to stop saying it was all planned out. It feels so much like an afterthought to me, most of the lore. So much that IF they did actually have it planned, then they couldve made a much better job. I'm not saying its bad or anything, but yeah.
Because it is, they're hacks
Natalia being the only Adult there 💀
hypothetically speaking, if there was a subject like someone named "000" or anyone before 001 they could possibly be the mind flare?
then, what about the demogorgans?
I doubt it because the mind flayer looks way too similar to Henry favorite creature a spider.
the mind flayer existed before the hawkin lab experiments so no
@@akankshachoudhary7507 came from the upside down
@@ecksdee6463 yeah I'm 1000 percent on the minority boat that Henry made the upside down at the creel house which was before the experiments so I agree mind flayer existed before the Brenner experiments
Ahh, I love how simple they were in the beginning. As much as I love how the story has unfolded and progressed, i so adore the gritty beginning of this original, fantastic story.
Despite what was "spoiled" or theorized, we can draw our own conclusions, and some of us be right, and some wrong. Regardless, it's gonna be interesting to see how it unfolds. I just hope they don't disappoint when it comes to explaining and concluding the story. Let us all enjoy the near-end!
Glad I didn’t see this until after watching s4 lol

I wouldn’t be surprised if the creators took direct inspiration from that fan theory and just went from there.
nope, Tom Holland is infecting the other actors quick put them in lockdown! XD Tom Holland pandemic alert
🤣
@@Logan_TheLegend this guy gets it, i guess its just you and me we have to get all the actors before tom infects them!
Bro, back then this was only supposed to be a one season thing. There’s no way they were already planning season 4.
it was a fan theory
the duffer brothers said in an interview they had the whole series planned out from the beginning, including 4 and 5
"So the monster was a recent test subjec-" *HOOOOUGH*
Imagine being such a brain dead writer that you have to rely on fan theories to propel your series forward. Not to say the idea isn't cool, it's ultimately the execution that leaves me bewildered. Like why introduce all these new characters to pad out this unnecessarily long run time, other than for the sake of coming off as cinematic? If it wasn't for the budget this show has, it really wouldn't be anything worth mentioning at all.
Millies gasp 😂
He also spoiled the fact that there is one when he says one through ten
its amazing that anyone actually thought it was an actual spoiler rather than a fan theory he heard/liked. it goes to show how much critical thinking we lack as a society.
Stranger Things reminds of Gravity Falls. Group of kids with their older friends in a town with bizarre events
man the young actors look so different crazy to think it was 6 years ago

That was beutiful to lol
Before ''The return of Skywalker'', I remember famous writer Brad Meltzer once said that they should make Rey a Palpatine instead of a Skywalker.
My point is that there are so many fan theories that one of them is bound to be accurate. Or maybe The Duffer Brothers read them all and picked the one they liked best.
for people saying that the duffer brothers used this theory you are wrong because the duffer brothers needed to write a 25 page document about stranger things and what will happen before it even came out
rare footage of mark rufflo's son
Duffer Brothers: write that down, write that down
Dustin didn’t spoil anything. They wrote the rest of the series based off his genius!
Any other theories you got?
@Lucid Freem I literally do post editing on season 1 but alright, friendo.
@Lucid Freem Also your entire presence in this thread is telling everyone their wrong, including people who worked on the show.
Nice going. Dingus.
They wouldn't have known the plot back then since it was never written and the possibility of the show failing and never getting this many seasons. I believe this was a fan theory

Let's get this clear, Gaten couldn't of "spoiled" anything because the cast members don't get there script until a little before they start to record. Seeing how young there were the writers would never had gave them the scripts for season 4 so early (tried to explain as best as I can, but usually I know they don't give the scripts to the actors because actors could spoil, there all basically blind of what's going to happen)

wasnt it a comic before a tv series? the end was already written?
I normally hate flashbacks and prequel type stuff late into a series, and kinda hate how much time they spent doing that for season 4, but admittedly it made it very cool to realize that you could Essentially play that scene between 11 and 1 and then go back to season where 11 first was on the run and its exactly where its picking up. Even hopper going to the lab and its all bio hazarded and they seem to not know what tf doing... actually makes sense like "oh this literally just happened. We just discovered / created the upside by accident and don't have a clue about a single aspect of it"
Eleven escaped the lab 3 year after she send 001 to the upside down. You know that right?
@@curtisjackson40 lmfao you could have just as easily said "she actually escaped three years after that"

@@CS-lk2wg that wasnt actually millie, it was actor martie blair that played young eleven in s4

Maybe they liked the fan theory and decided to use it in the series?
Millie's gasp was the same reaction I had
gaten is just that good, he is such a good actor that they just make everything he says into a reality. he is simply just too good
There were a bunch of fan theorists that were wrong too
Dustin hasn't aged a day, look how much difference there for Lucas
So I have 2 theories for this specific theory.
1. Gaten is reading out a fan theory that he liked, and somehow this theory entirely predicted ST S4
2. The theory is completely speculation, and the writer's loved it so much that they decided to make it canon and change what they initially had (that's if it wasn't the fan theory).
Millie full on gasping at the theory is the cutest thing ever!
The person who made that fan theory must of been hired to write the story of season 4 😂
I think that that one fan who came up with this theory must be grinning real good right now. LOL

y'all are literally so gullible. Also some people commenting saying that he was lying about knowing the end, season 4 isnt the last season, there will be a 5th season which wont be released till like 3 years since they probably havent filmed it yet.
and that is if there will be a 5th. There is a possibility
yea, but 001 being Vecna sure does confirm that.
no one is gullible but the fact the broad strokes of the theory tie into who One/Henry/Vecna is all tied together. The fan was smart that's all. And I am glad I didn't see this until I watched all of season 4.
