Been a subscriber for a while, lovely couple. I've been living in Morelia for two years now. Enjoy your stay Ill be screaming " Yarbros" if I see ya around.
My family is from Morelia and we have our 2nd home there. I'm excited to discover ex-pats and nomads discovering Morelia, and you guys and many other channels got me thinking of moving out there for a while lol and the neighborhoods vary.. some areas are sketch and some areas are beautiful. It takes some time to get to know where to go and where not to go lol
How exciting! It’s all about learning, experiencing and venturing. Love your open and positive attitudes. I am leaving next week for my pre-trip to Queretaro. I am so excited to meet with my Relocation Agent and just embrace the city, the people and the culture of Queretaro. I have a feeling I’m not going to want to come back, but I know I have to so I can wrap things up in the U.S. before I make my final move.
I’m glad that you finally put out this video! We met you both at the weekly coffee gathering event (Thursday at 10:30am). Looking forward to more videos of Morelia & Michoacán, so much to see…
Just found your channel... beautiful people... thanks for taking me to a new place. I never heard of Morelia before. Blessings on you both and safe travels.
***Welcome*** I got to tell you that I have been to the majority of the states in Mexico. I am only missing 4 states. So far Michoacán is my all time favorite. So much so, that moved my family here this summer...I mean all of Mexico is beautiful but there is something magical about Michoacán. The food. The food is out of this world and so unique. I love everything about living here... Michoacán is beautiful, full of history and culture. I know that Morelia is awesome 😎 and I have spent close to "no time" there. Literally I drove around Morelia to pickup my mother from the Airport this Halloween night. I'm definitely planning on spending some weekends out there.
@@BPe-ie9je there is a region rightfully called "Meseta Purépecha" better known as Meseta Tarasca. Uruapan and surrounding areas. The National park in the middle of the city. Another great presentation ! Morelia looks like a place to put on the "to see" list. Thanks so much for sharing. You guys are amazingly positive despite some not so positive encounters. See you on your next adventure.
Great video guys! We love Morelia, it’s near and dear to our hearts, it’s honestly one of our favorite cities in Mexico. Morelia convinced us to make the move and do the same thing you guys are doing! Keep living your best lives guys! You are doing it right 🤙

Love that you are enjoying this amazing place! I think you will find even more as you relax and kick back! Sorry about the start of things but as we know the most beautiful Cities in the World have issues! For example PARIS!! I loved visiting Paris but the side streets away from the center can be very scary! You really have to watch your back and learn the language fast to get around... At one point I asked a lady if she spoke English because I had got on the wrong train... She said YES... SO I asked her if I was going to a certain area if i should exit the train at the next stop, she said YES... I did and immediately regretted it... Probably the only English word she knew was "YES" and maybe NO.. LOL But that is TRAVEL right? Love the content you are bringing... Keep it coming!

Can you give a few tips on how you take the AirBnB conversation offline? Key words to throw out? Is this something you can really only do when you're in the town you want to stay in? Thanks!
We just ask if they are interested in talking off-line, tell them we're in town and would like to view the property in Airbnbs chat. Then we talk face to face. and they usually know exactly what it is. We saw 7 prooerties and only one person was not willing to negotiate off line. Yes, we've only done this while we were available for a face to face.
Hi Yarbros! At 4:11 I see an old Synagogue. The building with green awnings and the large Star of David on top. Can you tour it? Can someone share it’s history? Thank you.
As a Airbnb host myself I can tell you that hosts agree to a contract forbidding "side bookings." The consequence of getting caught doing that are very serious. The host can be kicked off the platform and all future bookings cancelled without any warning. Hosts also have to agree that Airbnb can do that with no warning and no opportunity to negotiate. This seems to be a common practice in MX but as a US host I never take the chance. I know too many hosts that ended up burned!
I understand but Airbnb is not what it used to be for hosts or guests which is why the risk ends up being worth the reward for alot of hosts. MX, D.R.. and beyond.

The state of Michoacán is a major reason why the cuisine of México was named in 2010: Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. To this day there’s are only a handful of of world cuisines on that list.
Hey brother. Was reading thru the comments & stumbled upon your comment. If you don’t mind me asking. Who’s your mother in Law? I’m from Coalcomán too. I Go visit every year.
It's in the states of Michiacan between CDMX and Guadalajara...and ik it didn't seem like it in the vid but we are playing it safe...thanks for watching and caring😁
That's very smart, to talk to the hosts offline (I'm guessing WhatsApp). How did you guys manage to negotiate a lower price? From $1k to $400...that's a bargain!
That first Airbnb..if you would have been in a hood in the states, the rest of your bags would have been gone by the time you got back downstairs. And at a “turn up spot in the middle of the night? Please. Safety is relative. To be aware is to be alive. Enjoy the journey!
You channeled my mind. I took precautions in both situations. The courtyard was a locked entry and the hard part was moving w/ all of our belongings constantly insight. At the bar we got a little turnt and while everyone was floating w/ the stars we left while taking extra precautions while leaving as well. Thanks for your concern...sincerely.

Love & cheers from a very soon to be ex pat Canadian, doing my darndest to pull up stakes and bug out of the current Canadian "Brazil" (1985 film) political climate & even scarier dystopian "government mandates" vibe.
Y’all are killing me

Oh my goodness Better
The state of Michoacán is a major reason why the cuisine of México was named in 2010: Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. To this day there’s are only a handful of of world cuisines on that list.
UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity
Actually, what I really wanted to say was when I see I think of the telenovela and the amazing Cristian Castro song from that show .
Hola saludos 👋
I love you guys…always keeping it real. I have to ask about dogs are there many loose uncared for dogs in this city? I want to help them all…
There are programs for dog adoption and health Morelia.
Surprisingly there aren't a lot of strays like you see in other areas. We went out to Patzcuaro and they were everywhere...not the case here.
Michoacán…”the soul of México”? Ah, that explains my Mother-in-Law - she’s from Cualcoman, and she has such a beautiful spirit.
Hey brother. Was reading thru the comments & stumbled upon your comment. If you don’t mind me asking. Who’s your mother in Law? I’m from Coalcomán too. I Go visit every year.

Hi.......how do you find air B and Bs offline for the better rates??
Qe find them online and then comtact them.to view the apt. and make an offer when we see them face to face.
Hello from Jamaica. Como estas
Total bien!
Where are you From?, and Welcome to Morelia Michoacán muy beautiful city
I need to look at a map, no clue where Morelia is. I've heard of it...but don't know where it is. Be Safe!
Hey I thought y’all were in Guadalajara, what happened?
It was time for us to move on...we like to keep it pushing along.
❤
😊❤

Looks like a wonder city!!! Quick question… when you all were in Costa Rica, did you run into a lot of Americans?
No, we didn't except for in the city of La Fortuna....seemed like foreigners....mostly Americans, were everywhere.
@@TheYarbros Morelia seems like a great stop, is $400-500/month possible?Thankyou
we have a friend that does not want to give up pot so will not go to Mexico. Are there places there where it can enjoyed?
Yes, throught the city!
I need you guys to negotiate my next airbnb for me...wow from $ 1200 to $400? How!?
😆 Airbnb marked up 2 weeks of prices, taxes and fees for Dia del Muertos a $26 room went to $45... but honestly God was in the building. Got no other explanation. We asked and they accepted it wasn't even a true negotiation. 🤷🏽♂️
Please show the map to show where you are located .🙂
We tagged ourselves it should show in the deacriotion.
