Neil De Loa you can't blame Dunn for the people Price killed to find him... his biggest "sin" is, maybe, not realising sooner how exceptional he is and what he was meant to do with his powers. The movie strongly suggests that now that Dunn knows he's basically Superman he'll keep saving people anyway, if nothing else because it makes him feel better.
This theme plays when David fights the man in orange and we along with him discover that he's a hero. It also plays when it revealed to David and the audience that Elijah is a villain. In both cases I feel the music speaks of hope but also David's failure, by not realising the truth about himself sooner he was unable to save the mother and father from the man in orange (especially the mother, her lifeless body collapsing to the floor with David stood their helplessly). Then again when he find out about the atrocities that Elijah committed to find, again something that could have been avoided if he had discovered his true self sooner. Just a wonderful piece of music.
@@Three_Sword_Hokage To me those moments with this music meant something else. In the house with the orange man David is finally doing what he is meant to do, be a hero. 1:04 is just something else. James Newton Howard shows us how even the simplest of moments can be made 10 times even more amazing simply with the power of music.
Genuinely the single most honest hero theme in cinematic history. You can feel the weight of it, the burden that no ordinary man is even capable of bearing held in this music.
1:03 Now that we know who you are, I know who I am. I'm not a mistake. It all makes sense. In a comic you know how you can tell who the arch villian is going to be? He is the exact opposite of the hero, and most times their friends like you and me. I should've known way back then, you know why David? Because of the kids!!!!
One thing I always like about the two themes in unbreakable, is how they all have the same notes; but different emotions based on the different keys they are played back in. You can really hear the contrast in this song in particular.
Is it wrong to say I felt BAD for him after that movie? Despite all he did.... in the end Elijah DID manage to do something good..... he helped give birth to an age of superheroes.
@@williambeck2372 On the other hand. Just like the doctor said - every time there was a hero, his counterpart, a supervillain would emerge as well. So just as well as he woke up the superheroes all around the world, he probably also created a lot of villains at the same time.
Now that the trilogy has concluded, I can only say that... *Spoiler alert* David deserved more, so much more, we saw him growing from a depressed person who thought that was born and would die mediocrily only to find out that he was truly extraordinary, and what's more, only when he was suposed to die, to be one more casualty, his true self was reborn as one of a kind, a true real hero. That being said, now I hear this song and feel it much more intense, the inner struggle, the wasted potential, everything that could've been but never was, the unreleased. That's what makes me feel the fate of David Dunn, The Overseer: this song. "But comic book heroes don't die that way, real people do".
Absolutely right with you my friend, to me David was more than a super human and that form to say good bye an amazing character...well..but still was amazing his roll in Glass nwn

I can perfectly picture a moment when the beast will try to break david's back by embracing him from behind, then the beast try as hard as he can (his eye become redder and redder and event start to bleed) as he grumble "Why Wont You Break!!!" then david just realizing his monstruous strengh just quietly answer: "I NEVER break"Then proceed to free himself from the beast, walking toward him slowly yet unavoidable and unstoppable to stop him.

Let's just put it this way., Dunn will have his hands full, ain't gon be no walk inna park, the Beast WILL be kickin his azz and he does seem to be stronger than David so... @@johnshaft1233 That's the only visible weakness there is with David. Pretty sure David's invulerability is too much for the Beast. That's why he's not the only villain in the movie.
