For people who don’t mind spoilers let me explain the context of this fight and why it is so badass 1) Takezo saw the speed and fluidity of seijuro’s sword skills the year prior, and has returned to Kyoto for a death rematch duel with seijuro’s brother denshichiro 2) The yoshioka members remembered Takezo as a “country bumpkin’ pest and how he returns looking like a homeless person but with battle scars and a much different calm, cold demeanor. 3) seijuro attacks Takezo in the night alone on a field. Takezo had it in mind that he’d have to fight denshichiro first to get to his true goal in seijuro, but now the opportunity it’s unexpectedly right in front of him. He imagines a version of it playing out with himself being slain, but accepts the possibility and implies this is what he wanted anyway 4)To seijuro AND the readers surprise Takezo now moves with much more fluidity and cuts with more grace. He can now also see and perceive seijuro’s sword. Seijuro takes note of this right away comparing him to “cotton.” 5) the two go from testing each other speed and perception, to getting into a full on fight when Takezo extremely unexpectedly simultaneously counters seijuro and cuts his body completely in half ending the young masters life in an instant….even for Takezo his movements were so fluid and light footed that he himself thought he had lost grip of his sword when in actuality it’s just that the slice went through seijuro’s torso with such ease that it even surprised him.
And also the infamous scene of him slobbing from his mouth was the cherry on top bc it showed how in sync he was with his senses. It was also where they got the inspiration for the Itadori slobbing scene in jjk
@@darktitan4906 I’ll have to check that scene out. Yeah I loved the whole whited out eyes and drooling effect used to display how much of a flow state Takezo was in. It was so much different from his more thought driven actions when he fought Inshun and the Baiken. It showed how Much he grew during the time skip leading up to him returning to Kyoto.
My jaw dropped when I saw Seijuro in 2 halves. Because, sometimes in Vagabond, samurai fights with their imagination first, so when I saw Musashi sliced through Seijuro's torso and literally divided him, I thought maybe it was in his imagination, but to my surprise he really killed Seijuro that quickly. And Seijuro was hyped as a very strong character, maybe in top 5, so when someone like him died early and quickly before incapable samurais it was really shocking.
@@marlenegonzalez6022 no me refería a que seijuro debía ser el protagonista ,me refiero que el tenia los dotes para ser un prota como musashi y kojiro (pudo tener aun más relevancia ) a mi parecer
Nah. He thought he learned it all and turned towards materialistic pleasures but Musashi was obsessed with the way of the sword and it was almost certain Musashi will beat him. And he did . Tore his torso wide open Musashi is Him.
@Ihavecctvinyourhouse Sacrificing himself just to save his little brother, that's pure love. Seijuro could've killed Musashi at first, to be honest, but that's just a warning coming to the dojo and decided not to fight. Vagabond is amazing.

Nah, musashi deserves that win. I think seijuro is in the same league as inshun more or less i'd say, and musashi had already beaten inshun so it's not that surprising he could demolish seijuro. I think people give seijuro too much credit, hes not really that significant of a character, like c'mon after he became the head of yoshioka he became lazy and just go around sleeping with a bunch of women and getting drunk, where as musashi on the other hand had been in intense training and had already gone through some life changing encounters
No musashi did not deserve that win in some sort. You can see that his stance was always frail against Seijuro's attacks and he took 3 hits. One on his arm, forehead and left eye. While Seijuro always attacked with so much speed and precision that Musashi could barely follow what he was doing. Tho Musashi did a good shit when he attacked him on his eye and then the final cut.

This is one of fairly master-crafted edit I've ever seen.
