Now I'm considering the Toyota Highlander XLS AWD and I notice you have not reviewed one for a while....please give one a go and put it through the Light Off Road course you do with most SUVs.

Years late reply ut let my give you my two cents. This review was absolutely correct. The front seat is so damn uncomfortable like I was bottoming out the seat. The skde bolter AGAIN dug into my thigh like in the RC-F back in 2012(?) making the car undrivable unless I sat sideways. WHY would you oit those seats in thst don't adjust and purposely leave out a segment of the population thst could buy your suv is knly they adjusted? Why? Same with the side bolsters. I lift weights and I couldn't fit in the seat unless like some high end vehicles the bolsters adjusted. I prefer the seats on my older 2010 Lexus rx350. 300k miles and sests were still comfortable. This on i tested today a few minutes sgo had only 60k miles and the deats had flattened out. Sad.
(1) Congratulations to Lexus on the improved center console design providing room for the driver's knee. (2) No Apple CarPlay or Android? Strange at this price range. (3) CVT with fake paddle shifters? Shame on Lexus. (4) Pity about the grotesque front end styling. (5) Finally, what happened to the desert washboard road? It is an AWD crossover/suv, after all.
My ONLY complain about this vehicle are the seats in the F-Sport model. Unless you have a thin athletic build, the raised sides of the lower seat cushion feel too narrow for my behind. The raised portions feel like they're digging into my butt cheeks a little bit. Aside from that... I love everything about this car.
my 2010 model with over 230000km have its whole Hybrid system original and NO faulty battery cell or any fault. it runs still stron and i get in eco mode 6,5ltr./100km with mx 80km/h.
My 2006 RX400h batteries are still running strong, with 164k miles and counting - averaging about 25 mpg overall. I'm about to sell it to a friend as I've finally decided to upgrade to a Gen4 RX hybrid, and most likely will be a Certified 2017 or 2018 F Sport model. I just drove an Atomic Silver yesterday even though my mind was set on the Nebula Grey (sim. to my 06's Flint Mica). But the Atomic Silver does look great IMO.
To all Lexus fanboys: I wouldn't mind owning a Lexus... specially the GS F! But somehow Lexus just don't do it all the way!!! The GS F for instance, lack of power, cheap plastic interior and look a like carbon fiber. And the RX is just plain ugly as hell, heavy, shitty gearbox, 80's interior like a portable Panasonic boombox, no character, boring drive train.... the list is long.

It all depends on personal preference. For instance, i'd rather have a joystick than a touchpad. Especially driving in a car where you need to pay attention to the road as much as you possibly can.
Lexus definitely wins the ugliest front end award for this one and any passenger vehicle over $30k should have Android Auto & Apple Car Play as standard equipment. Throw in the CVT and it is a SUV that would never be on my want list.

If you have an F Sport, you have the adjustable suspension. That's what changes in sport plus mode.

4 years late to this comment, but it's a CVT. You're complaining about shifting but you don't seem to know how a CVT works.

Gorgeous vehicle! Those lines really do grow on you after a while. I wish I could afford it but I might have to go with the NX.

After 3 years of hybrid, the battery function drops quickly. So fuel economy is bad.
And CVT missions are a lot of trouble

Most other users don't use it correctly. They use it like a Merv's or BMW's, but it's completely different, and test it is easier
