I literally did this on my first playthrough. Stood in the common room and stayed dead still to admire the music and the atmosphere. I have never had such a visceral reaction to music in a game in my life. It really fits the room and Slytherin aesthetic
I got sorted into Ravenclaw but this is my favorite of the common room tracks. It has a quality that’s a bit sad, mysterious and romantic that’s very engaging to listen to.
Yes, for sure. Which is actually incredibly appropriate, since he was actively composing during this time. Clair de Lune came out the same year in which the events of HL take place!

I've been listening to all the common rooms' osts. I can safely say that Slytherin's the best one. It has this melancholic, magical vibe. Very fitting to a House which is about to be the epicenter of many tragedies in the future. A very heavy burden which is translated so well through this score.
I'm a Hufflepuff and I just love Slytherin's aesthetic! My Room of Requirement is a mixture of gothic architecture and plants, a combination of both houses. It's like living inside a medieval palace that was taken by the flora. It's beautiful. And now I found out their Common Room has one of the gentlest and most romantic scores of the soundtrack w/ a strong classical music vein! I'm in love with the contrast. P.S.: I'll forever envy the fact they got an underside view of the lake like a massive aquarium!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL There are few compositions that make you hang on a key and this was well done. Not to mention it’s Slythern’s common room. You’d think dark magic wouldn’t be compatible with such .
In fact just because you’re in slytherin doesn’t mean you practice dark magic. Its kinda like the pit bull, it has a bad reputation but that doesn’t mean they aren’t amazing and loving dogs.
They've got a bit of my favorite Harry Potter song in there... Leaving Hogwarts. Also, like a tiny bit of Chopin at the end there. I heard it in the common room and just knew I had to add this to my favorites. It's absolutely beautiful.
Sounds like something you would hear in that scene of a movie where the guy is reminiscing about a past love and the girl who got away. Not unlike Snape thinking about Lily.
A nuanced melody that made me sit back and listen, despite my overwhelming hype for the game. It takes us on a journey - one of whimsy, then melancholy, and then to a strange peace. When Ominis speaks upon teasing the first years before introducing himself, I cannot help but think that this is a perfect complement to his character arc and values: A child born into magic and dark legacy, only to... find the answer he sought for so long? I haven't finished the game, but that doesn't mean I can't speculate ahaha
I wish we could just sit there on one of the couches and let the time pass by. Just relaxing after eradicating poacher camps and Ranrok's loyalists. Our characters really need to rest sometimes.
Dude same. Just finished today and I already miss it. Although it’s time to move on, the game lacks replayability. I’ll always cherish my time spent with this game
@@MattyP650 Rumors say that they will develop Hogwarts Legacy 2 where they explore more relations between students and HBO is in the making of a series, so honestly, I'm pretty happy for the future
@@Ceciliaqq was hoping hogwarts legacy 2 would be just like this game but with online and you can play with others and do missions together etc .. like an mmo
Very much like the Slytherin common room, and find myself visiting it often. It's just a pitty, how there's little to do there. It'd be nice if there was a quest or two starting in there. Could've been accomplished by moving the quest givers to the common room, if they are from the same house.
The one song that makes me stop and take it all in. One of the finest quality pieces from this game. Slytherin!
Same😂
Yes yes yes
I couldn't of said it better.

As a Slytherin I've heard this soundtrack 30+ times and never ever get tired of it
Song makes me feel a deep sense of nostalgia and loneliness that I can’t describe
Same

This is my favourite piece from the game so far. Does it remind anyone else of Debussy?

It's incredible and yes
I'm more reminded of Chopin's most famous Nocturne
It's a mix between Debussy and Chopin and I love it.
I keep coming back to this song.... It moves me to tears....
This OST is, simply put, a masterpiece. It nourishes the soul alongside the painful beauty of nostalgia.
I've been listening to all the common rooms' osts. I can safely say that Slytherin's the best one.

I agree
Very well said bro
I never thought slytherin would be so romantic like Chopin ❤ hopeless romantic 😍
The composer actually commented another YT video saying Chopin was one of his main inspirations for the piece... So spot on!
This is the finest composition in the soundtrack, and it's not even close to anything else. No house bias or whatever, it's just wonderful.
Opening that remind me of Joe Hisaishi, continue with the melancholy, dreamy Debussy and the hopelessly romantic Chopin.
I love this.
So true! I hear elements of Joe's Princess Mononoke "Ashitaka and San" track in the very beginning. Great catch!
Lovely. Its main piano melody was taken from Balakirev's Au Jardin/In the Garden (1884 for piano).

Bro, as a Hufflepuff myself, I can confirm Slytherin has the nicest Common Room.
Same. Agreed with you both. I'm a Hufflepuff, and my second choice is Slytherin.
Lol Also a Hufflepuff and attest to Slytherin's aesthetic.
This theme is why I always go back to the common room.
I'm trying my damndest to learn this piece on the piano. It was an instant favorite the moment I heard it!
My beautiful house.
🐍💚🤍🖤
For some reason, this made me think of Snape and his love for Lily
Slytherin has the best common room theme 🐍
1:22 Beautiful, most serene game OST ever
Takes me back home....a little feeling of loneliness but at the same time comfort and magical feeling of beauty and ancient...
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL There are few compositions that make you hang on a key and this was well done. Not to mention it’s Slythern’s common room. You’d think dark magic wouldn’t be compatible with such .
Not all Slytherins are evil.
In fact just because you’re in slytherin doesn’t mean you practice dark magic. Its kinda like the pit bull, it has a bad reputation but that doesn’t mean they aren’t amazing and loving dogs.
Slytherin has a classy elite feel to it so classical music fits really well!
Slytherin is about unbridled ambition. I can imagine this results in extraordinary passion, beyond just the evils.

1:25 if I put Chopin - Nocturne op.9 No.2 around here , fits quite well.
True
Nice profile pic
Ahhhhhh…. Standing by the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of a merfolk swimming by….
Most beautiful song in the game!🎼🎶🎹
Yep!

Right!! The warmest part of the piece starts just as we reach him and talk to him for the first time. I felt it fit the atmosphere to a TEE!
This piece stopped me in my tracks and had me admiring the area for nearly an hour.
It's a lovely piece.
It also sounds like something John Williams would have made.
I wish we could just sit there on one of the couches and let the time pass by. Just relaxing after eradicating poacher camps and Ranrok's loyalists. Our characters really need to rest sometimes.
I just finished the game and this song played during the credits..it already feels so nostalgic :'(
Where we meet Seb & Om for the first time. 💚🐍 Who knew it would escalate the way it does. Beautiul track!
I can't believe I feel nostalgic for a game that has been released weeks ago.

I think it’s the world more so than the game .. atleast for me this song takes me back to my childhood watching the movies and reading the books .

this song is arranged ver of legendary (sorcerers stone ost)...
happy surprise for me
I love this Soundtrack :) Its so nice to hear :D Slytherin
I can sense seaweed and kelp swaying slowly underwater
Как потрясающе вы передали атмосферу этой музыки и общей комнаты! 💗💗💗
Спасибо за ваш комментарий, это правда 🤧✨
Yes ofc the Slytherins have the classy old money soundtrack. I love it. Ps: your fellow Gryffindor.

This gives me major elder scrolls vibes, Oblivion specifically. Such a tranquil track
This doing reminds me of a song in the movie “the guardian” very similar. Same feeling evoked too.
A subtle masterpiece
hits different after finishing the main storyline
Giving me Chopin vibes 😍😍
2:34 to 2:56 EXQUISITE!
Georges Tuséki ne meurt jamais.
Whoo go Slytherin
I love it too much! 😌🎶
Why I’m a fan of slytherin. And why I’m going to pick this commen house if I’m gonna play hogwarts legacy.
What instrument makes the bell like sounds at 2:27
celesta
Best one.
