The big problem with their 2022 sales numbers is that they largely didn't have inventory to sell. All of the vehicles they sell in the US, except for the Michigan-built Enclave, are made in either Korea or China, and they were dealing with supply chain issues at the time. I looked into getting a new Encore GX with my preferred dealer in the Summer of 22, but they had none on the lot, and the ones they were getting were still on ship en route. Thankfully, they seem to have gotten over most of their issues and sales have increased in 2023.

Buick manufactured INCREDIBLE automobiles through the 1976 model year. After that they were turned into junk by GM!

Just test drove a Buick Envision. It had a lot of room and features but it just came off as a badge engineered Chevy with marginal refinement and all the trim packages had essentially the same V-6 powertrain option. There was no EV or hybrid powertrain. My wife prefers the Toyota Highlander Limited with the Hybrid powertrain. My experience with Buick is their fuel economy ends up being a lot lower than advertised but they are smooth and quiet with above average reliability.

Buick exists largely thanks to China sales (they are considered premium brand there) and of course social security -- the latter I am sure will change when the last few die-hard Buick customers die off or flock to other brands like Lexus (many ex-buick and olds customers have gone to them) and Audi (very strong sales stamina among seniors in Texas).
Interesting fact: many of current or ex Buick dealers in Texas have started selling other brands which probably translate into other makes like David McDavid - they sold Buicks and Pontiacs for years -- added Honda and then Acura later on. Covert is another TX dealer who has branched out to other makes.

I was brought up with Buick. Always was a class car. With its own look, style, just a special look. The effort is not there now. Looks like other GM body's

Lexus has become a old stodgy conservative brand that is simply a badge engineered Toyota. You can’t recognize them on traffic unless you’re close enough to see the logo on the trunk. The front has that ugly grille. Their build quality is supreme but their design is uninspiring. It’s no surprise buyers of Oldsmobile switched to Lexus.

Bring back a 1980s retro inspired regal gran sport coupe. Make it with an electric powertrain where it can hold its own to a Tesla Model S and a Gas powered powertrain with an option of something in the range of 800hp. They will sell like hot cakes.

Does or is Buick able to build proper 4wd off roader’s & large raised pickup trucks ?For the broader market & product line ! Does Buick have any history in the Rhd automobile market for expansion & flexibility in finding sales & selling the numbers needed?

I heard that even the name Buick sounds like a very positive Chinese word (can't remember the translation) surprised the vid didn't mention it.

Why hasn’t Buick partnered with Chinese EV Company Nio ?Or on a Rhd platform with Nio ? As BYD probably doesn’t need GM anymore! & only probably did it for Buick culture wise ! As for negotiating terms with the US China trade war tariffs

China should take Buick away from GM and make Buick great again but unfortunately that won’t happen under GM control they only care about Cadillac they won’t ever let Buick compete with Cadillac that’s why Buick is going down hill 😢

My parents had buicks. In the past I had buicks. However, knowing all this garbage about China. I wouldn't give you a dollar for a Buick. Maybe if they could build a car instead of a stupid s u v

It is so sad losing all these American brands like Plymouth Pontiac Oldsmobile and Mercury in recent years. I truly am surprised Buick and even Lincoln are still around.
I would rather drive an American automobile rather than a foreign car like Honda or Toyota. But the reliability isn’t there.
The American car companies don’t build vehicles to last long enough like a Toyota or Honda. Forget Hyundai and Kia they’re just crap mobile‘s waiting to go wrong.
Subarus are pretty much crap too. And Forget Nissan and Mitsubishi. They should be crushed a soon as they’re built.
Personally I think General Motors should just go under totally under if they can’t build a reliable car. The Chevy trailblazer is an unreliable crap mobile. And sadly Chrysler should under too and they just might. . I’m a big Mopar fan but these new Chrysler‘s are crap.
I’m sure Buick will gone soon.
Way before 2028 when they said they’d be total electric crap EVs. Then Cadillac is it gonna be next.
