My wife and I took delivery of our Shark Blue 2022 GT4 here in Canada 31 August. Similar spec, but with silver wheels and PDLS dark-tinted headlights, not the LED lights.
Excellent spec!! With all the leather and deviated stitching, I am surprised you didn’t add the leather and deviated stitching to the wheel column. That is a nice touch to my GTS.
Did you notice when spec'ing your car, that on the "Preview" for Extended Individualization Color Selection for Stitching in Deviated Color didn't alter your Preview when changing to Speed Blue? The preview still shows silver stiching for me
@@CTP1111 Thank you Good Sir! Subscribed ;-) Spec'ing mine out right now, arrives December 30th. I got a 2023 coming faster than usual thanks to knowing the owner of a Porsche dealer here in SoCal
As far as I see on the configurator, the deviated stitching option includes the pull. How come did you get the grey on the pull while every else stitching is blue?
there is no blue door pull option so when you get the extended deviated stitching package in one of the non base 3 colors it defaults to silver in the GT4 or black in the spyder... easy mod though, will work on it later :)
@@CTP1111 Got that pen fixed too :P Did a write up on it on Instagram. Ended up gluing a pick to the remaining piece stuck in the dash, yanked it out, bought a regular Lamy Pico, took the tip off of it and the ink cartridge out, attached them to the etched Aston piece that was in tact, saved myself $80+ on the Aston version of the pen! LOVE your new ride man, excited to see what you do with it!
I did pay msrp, nothing more, but it was a long process and I was a bit worried because the madness had kicked in by the time my car was delivered, my dealer came through though so that was nice
@@CTP1111 awesome! Do you have any tips on getting it at msrp and finding the right dealer? Is it just calling a bunch of dealers in the area? I'm actually trying to get a shark blue gt4 as well in manual
Congrats man!!! I've got a Shark Blue on order as well, can't wait to see it in person =) Funny I went with the painted headlight washers as well....I like the blue stitching...not an option in the UK so had to go with Yellow which I like as well.
@@CTP1111 actually I went back to the configurator and figured out that I could get the blue but it’s another increase in cost lol…I am getting Arum wheels and black painted calipers (steel like yours) so figure the arum is close enough to the yellow hehe
I requested my allocation yesterday and my initial configuration is sharkblue, I was thinking about doing PTS, but your config with the sharkblue and the blue stitching is beautiful, what was the name of the thread color? Speed blue? I agree the silver door handles should be blue
according to this thread on rennlist (which uses data from the end of 2022), about 150 but I would guess higher now rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-4-0-gt4-gt4rs-spyder-25th-anniversary/1330896-718-production-numbers-2.html#post18545259
Awesome dude! Love the GT4 and the color. I just ordered a 2022 Spyder in Shark Blue similar to your build with the CF interior, black calipers and wheels but I went with the bucket seats and grey stitching. The dealer should get my Spyder 12-17-21. Enjoy the new car, BYW, did the dealer have the clear side markers or did you buy them somewhere?
Nice car, great color, excellent spec! Congratulations. My GT4 arrives mid-November. Did you request clear side markers in advance from dealer or did they just swap for you upon car arrival?
I asked my SA for them a few days before I arrived, he hooked me up with 2 for $50 ($100 off) they installed them in a couple of minutes after the documents were signed. I wasn't going to complain about them charging me for them since I got the car for MSRP
This car is awesome! PDK vs manual is an argument as old as time and it boils down to both are great, if you're tracking it I would say go with PDK, if only for street use get the manual for sure but you really can't go wrong with either.
So glad you made a video, I'm on the wait list at my dealer up here in Canada and will 100% go Shark Blue. Big congrats on the car, great spec. Quick question: It seems like only the ''Interior Trim package with decorative Stitching in contrasting'' makes the steering wheel and gear shifter deviated stitching in the same color as the interior? From what I've seen, the option to change steering wheel and gear shifter to leather makes the deviated stitching of those black?
That only happens if you order a spyder apparently, if you order the extended deviated stitching package on a GT4 and select whatever color, it will appear on the steering wheel and shift boot if you select leather for those! If you have a spider it defaults to black if you choose one of the 3 preset interior colors (red, yellow, chalk) there's a post on rennlist about it here that hopefully describes it better than I can rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-4-0-gt4-spyder-25th-anniversary/1246652-shark-blue-gt4-spyder-thread-20.html#post17666057
Beautiful color. Really too bad the exhaust sucks, the first generation GT4 sounds epic. I highly recommend getting paint protection film for the entire front of the vehicle. Enjoy.
Yeah I did get PPF for the front and the problem areas on the sides, working on the exhaust, OPF delete + valve controller is almost there, I'm going to give it 6 months or so with that setup and then think about getting the soul valved exhaust, friend of mine has it on his spyder and I need to hear it in person
This is a solid color. It would be either this or white for me with red accents but not the painted red interior just stitching seat belts etc. Car needs to be at 500 and rs needs 550 and some features like led headlights push button start premium stereo and at least android auto as well as Apple car play need to be standard.
I don't like red interior anything with this blue... reminds me of spiderman or something like that, red stitched interior is awesome with white exterior though!
That’s a real privilege. But don’t be one of those “one of 67 released in this hemisphere during the molting season of the abyssal sea snail in this color” guys
Black wheels are last year. I have a GT4 coming in Early December and it will have the Aurum wheels . The porsche logo in back is unreadable and disappears. I also got the carbon fiber seats. I also ordered speed blue extended stitching also. Leather on the seat backs seem unnecessary and the dollars could be spent on other options. Also got the PDK - and the body color interior trim. If you get the sport Chrono then you get the knob on the steering wheel to change modes. Car is tight for me and I am 6’2” and compared to the 911 which is more comfortable for large people.
Hi - not technically correct - Chrono doesn’t give you the steering wheel console knob for different modes in GT4 / GT4 RS / Spyder. Looks so much cleaner without it - who wants buttons / clutter on a wheel of a GT product.
I just ordered the GT4 RS with Weissach in Shark Blue!
damn how did you get an allocation!

I did actually add the leather to the steering wheel base and the deviated blue stitching.

Thanks! I did add ppf to the whole front and other trouble spots when I got my tint done
Congratz on a lovley car, spec is amazing too!
