- I liked the look of this bumper kit and the price was ok, but the way it attaches to the vehicle doesn't leave me with a feeling of confidence if I need to to extract another vehicle. So, I purchased some bumper mounts that allow the shackle mount on the bumper to be tied all the way into the unibody, making it more gooder. Lotta welding though, and its been in the 100s since May here.

Every functional upgrade requires a little bit of custom fitting. And you made it look easy. Well done
thank you sir
Thanks I just ordered them and will do the same as you.
Damn! Now that's a bumper!!! 💪👍
That looks awesome Rick.💪👍👍
Thanks 👍
Nice job , got my front bumper lights , winch done. Starting on the rear now and bumper just bolts to the two rear plates so I guess these frame tie ins are a must there on Amazon now for 75.00, thanks for the video. I enjoyed the welding . I like the welding cabinet do a walk around of that sometime 👍
ok. ua-cam.com/video/N6j_uqPin9g/v-deo.html
Looks good can’t wait to see the front bumper, just put an arb type on my 71 g30 chinook
Looks great. For the time and materials you could’ve just bought one already beefed up and finished.
Looks damn good to me.
Thanks Charles!
Looks good, I can't find seem to find the brackets unassembled.
try eBay
It looks great! What is next for the front bumper and attachment for a winch?
yes
i’m not going to use the tow point as much but would you recommend getting the tie in brackets just for trailering 2 fourwheelers with the hitch
yes
Great job how much was the bumper and can you use a Flux core welder to do that and thanks for the video
I got front and rear kit for around 275.00 Rear only is going for around 130 and the tie-in brackets are around 75.00. you can weld with flux core just be sure to clean the welds up real good before paint.
On min 14:8. Thats how I'm going to wrld mine. How are your brackets holding up? Have you used them to get pulled or pulling someone else
haven't needed them yet, but the unibody is going to fail before the anchor points do
What do ‘I’ think?…hmmmm….’I’ think the bumper looks SO GOOD that you should sand down the REST of your Jeep then go back down to Walmart and buy some more spray paint! 😂😂😂…THEN the Jeep will look hunky dorey! Great video as always, Rick! Be careful in our Texas heat…sure hope y’all are getting some of the rain we are finally getting here in Houston! Later, Neighbor!
not a friggin drop! humid as all get out but no liquid from the sky
@@dzlfreek > that’s the way it’s been here for quite awhile….then suddenly last Friday we started getting good steady rain all day for about two days…still raining but only about three times a day for approximately 30 minutes.
Hey nice job on the bumper, my question is . Are you running 220v for the welder or 120V and what settings are you using wire speed and volts. thanks
220v, 300ipm wire speed, 19.5 volts, induction set at 7
So how is the spray on bed liner holding up?? want to use something like it or what you used.
for what it is, its ok. it damages easily but you can recoat anytime and its cheap. Its better than rattle can enamel paint, but not by much IMO
What part of Texas are you from looks like Corpus
closer to San Antonio
