God Bless this Woman. What she is doing is Absolutely remarkable.
Amen. Absolutely beautiful inside and out!
Some people don't have family or have had disabilities from birth. I can't believe the small minds that make comments like they should've planned, where is the family. Really!!!! This is reality for some a large number sadly . Thank her for having a heart and not judging...happy new year world....
Well said my friend.
Thank you for a compassionate response. Some ppl are ignorant enough not to know how good they have it. Happy New Years everyone!
So much privilege in those types of comments
It’a a reality. For about 500,000 drug addict anti-social fuckups.
My mom had chicken pox while she was in her 3rd trimester with me and we highly suspect that had influenced my mental health problems (which are pretty severe). You can't plan for those kinds of things. She didn't know it was gonna happen and the person she got them from was a kid in a waiting room, I believe. It wasn't even her fault. It was circumstance.
I was in hospital for a while. I had a man next to me dying. He told me some stories. He also told me he hated the food they bring round.
He said he had been been there 6 months and haven’t tried anything from the hospital cafeteria he wanted a menu and hot food.
We worked out that a 7 15 our ward was left. I got him in a chair a down to the cafeteria. We had a breakfast together. That was the best I saw him in in 2 months.
Later that day I went for a scan. He wasn’t there on my return. But I know I helped him. He was so happy. Still makes me cry typing this.
Love you frank. I can’t believe you didn’t chip in for breakfast. Don’t worry I’ll get ya later
@Mr steal your wife nah he was holding out for his son to come see him. He wanted to give him his old car. I used to hear him ask 2 or 3 times day. He had enough I believe. I just hope it wasn’t the breakfast that rushed it along. But if it was I’ll take that. That was the happiest Iv seen him the longest he was awake for. The most he spoke. It sounds selfish but I’d like to of said goodbye. But hey I’m sure he’s got breakfast waiting for me one day.
Somebody needs to fund her project so these can spring up across the country. This is completely necessary.
Like the state? The richest state in all the world?
@@1nsaniel I don’t think you understand where the “state” gets funding....
@@roxarecool congrats man, you passed 4th grade social studies. Who would've known that the state gets money from taxes
You can fund her
@@janjan6661 I definitely would contribute!
This woman is an angel. Beautiful soul she is
Thi needs to be a longer documentary
Yes!! It's true beauty 💜
What a wonderful, kind, compassionate and lovely human being she is. She is a credit to humanity.
There needs to be more awareness about this. Everyone deserves love before they pass. What a good person she is.
The world needs more people like her. Much love and Blessings....
Death with dignity should be a human right
Too many human rights. Why should others be financially resposible for everything you want? Where is the personal responsibility?
I can spend my money better than you can spend my money.
Shes one in a billion beautiful.
A place to live in dignity sounds good too. Just a thought.
Sounds good, we will build an apartment next to your house and ship the homeless population to live over there
@Mariano Talavera you can love your neighbors and not want to raise kids in needle infested streets at the same time. Throwing homeless people in a house is a naive solution to a bigger issue
@Mariano Talavera never said that at all. I believe it's not crazy to assume that on average homeless people do more drugs than people with houses? Loving your neighbor is finding a solution to fix the issue instead of creating more impoverished communities
Reed W. Actually they are going to build a massive hospice near *your* house instead, it’ll be more entertaining hehhehheh 😈
@@reedw.5477
If they have an efficiency apartment, they're probably going to do any drugs en suite. Generally, housing programs for the houseless work to get them stable, clean and sober- much easier when they have a home. Some of them have jobs, usually about 1 in 3.
A homeless man near me just died of the cold. Bless everyone who helps them.
Watching different types of videos on vice makes me feel like I'm going through a time machine and watching different people's lives and its both nice and sad in a strange way i can't explain.
sex offenders should never die with dignity
Death is inevitable for all of us I m glad tho that those who aren’t fortunate enough can do so peacefully
Not for u kratos
Wow, I had no idea that some people were not able to die in the hospital because of their past and especially a mental health background. It's definitely a big misconception then; Just like you said, we sometimes assume people who are sick and dying, it would be in the hospital. This video opened my eyes and expanded my awareness to this. Thank you.
I'm so lucky to be living in Australia where our most vulnerable are taken care of by the government.
There are still more than 100,000 homeless Australians.
@@henk-3098 there is a difference between taking care of them, and “taking care of them wink wink 🤫”. Just because they give them help doesn’t mean that they are enabling their situation. That’s like denying the treatment of broken bones so that those children that die or become disfigured from their injuries become a deterrent to future children to not play in places where they can break their bones easily.
At least we don't have savage murder koalas so checkmate Australia
Does it tho?
So awesome... So there's no homeless on streets at all?
Thank you for allowing people to die with peace and love in the last moments, when they have no where to go
Life is a nightmare until death.
Kindness cost nothing and can bring you everything. No one deserves to die alone, too many people have already suffered too much. It fills my heart with such genuine hope to know that at least these people get to leave this world with the feeling of love. When my grandmother died my dad was with her, as she was dying my dad told her how much he loved her, and the last thing he said to her was “thank you for being my mom, I love you” I can’t describe how much the thought of someone dying alone makes my heart ache. Genuinely this women is a person who truly understands the value of life.
*Sex offenders don't deserve to die with dignity* 😡😡😡😡
This should be mandated throughout the country. Just as healthcare should be a human right, this should be also. Why is it that people with the power and influence to make change don't care to do so and people who want to make positive changes are the people who dont have the resources to do something about it?
Are you gonna pay for it?
@@thelambsauce490 I used to think like you do. Then I seen my mom die from cancer, and hospice helped make her last few days better than I could have offered - including bringing a new hospital bed for her, so she could stay home.
People dying need us just as much as the new born do.
I am not judging you in any way, just hope you don't have to go through what I did to maybe start thinking a different way about some things.
@@josha3891 Who’s paying for it?
Genuine humanity.
The few keep this world afloat bottomless darkness.
Agree 100%
The saddest part is that the society allow people to live without a home, even renting you can call it ''your own''
So? Why’s that my job to babysit grown men?
Literally amazing & eye opening. What a beautiful message. ❤️
In the UK, this is also a real grey area, so seeing this is as perplexing as it is rewarding. Clearly a very much needed service most anywhere in the world. Many thanks.
I have been homeless before. Pregnant and escaping DV. I know how it feels to be scared, alone, sad and in pain. I always wondered if there was something like this out there, and while photographing my aunt die of cancer (her request) with family by her side. wondered how many people don’t have anyone by their side. And wondered if they needed someone to help them with their journey to heaven or even tell their story.
Glad you’re doing better
Praise God for this facility and the doulas providing care to the sick and dying homeless. We need more facilities like this! Thank you to the caring hearts who are providing love to the needy in their most difficult time.
God bless everybody. Glad to see the community support and care for the elderly.
*HAIL SATAN*
Thank you for helping a vulnerable population!
Each state most likely handles it differently but I think she's an awesome and beautiful human for doing this work. Some who do have families may not be able to afford to help. Would be great if Vice expanded this story to include how hospice needs are addressed in different part of the country. Maybe an hour long upload.
Hopefully this is just a teaser and they have a longer one they will upload.
My roommates say our house is haunted, I don’t think so. I have been here almost 300 years and haven’t noticed anything weird....
Wow
Tbh: I can't think of a clever reply
🙄
God Bless you! I didn't learn until I had to move in with my dad, who had dementia. He served in Vietnam. He was deployed when I was born. His death was to blame from agent orange. But in the end, all he had was me in his beat up mobile home in a rented bed from hospice. And you're right, it is a spiritual experience. I saw his eyes turn from bright blue to gray opaque while I was holding his hand. Can't find another word to describe that.
My mom was provided one of those beds as well. But boy was that a blessing! She was unconscious the last few days, and there was just no way that I could get her comfortable by myself. Or at least look comfortable, if that makes sense. That bed changed everything.
I'm sorry for the passing of your father. Thankful he had you there by his side at the end.
@@josha3891 thank you. You as well.
@@kittykixbootie Thank you my friend.
Very touching, so sad to watch but you're making it better. Great work!
She's a human Spirits Fairer like the Nintendo game. Dieing alone is so terrifying I don't want my last moment alive being scared if I can avoid it
Everyone dies alone unless you're a two headed individual...
Absolutely beautiful no one should die alone that doesn’t want to die alone
Show where their organs go after they die! Scavengers sell them to the highest bidder.
God Bless this lady’s soul as she is sooo special, with true compassion.. 🙏❤️🙏 She is one of Gods Angels
Greetings from Tucson,Az. I am a nursing assistant and hospice care is one of my favorite fields. It takes a certain someone to work hospice. I look at it like an honor and a privilege to care for my patients at the time of there life transition. It's like a labor and delivery nurse and doctor bringing in life, and I'm there to help at the end of life.
America should worry about their own homeless and crumbling middleclass instead of sending millions/billions to other Countries..
why do you think it is only the one or the other? Why not just raise taxes on the super rich who don t care for the american or forgein citizens alike?
Do you believe the “homeless” can be magically transformed into self-reliant people by giving them handouts?
@@roxarecool No. But can you believe that some homeless people need only a helping hand to get back into the system?
Provide homes for them and create jobs, some of them are struggling, are not only junkies and alcoholics.
I was homeless for 3 months, I was lucky that someone helped me with a room and in 3 months I've got my own place to live.
@@yoshy2628 It’s not the role of government to protect people from themselves.
@@roxarecool In my country it is.
3 rules: you don't know - we teach
you cannot - we help
you won't - we force you.
"Having a place to live is a human right."
What an angel of a woman. Bless her.
How does the patient get there if they're homeless, especially out of her area!? Hospice is normally schedule II pain meds just got when the person's actually on their death bed.
Heartbreaking to know many people have a small time left and have no one, at least if that's the case they don't feel alone dying in peace and not being alone should be for everyone, regardless what they have or haven't many rich people get the best care and aid but a lot of people suffer to the very end bless those people helping others 🕊️
Why bring up “rich” people?
God bless this woman.
Along with having a home in the first place, the homeless of course definitely deserve to die with dignity. Sex offenders do not.
Sex offenders are human too, not justifying there crimes tho,
A true saint providing a sense of community and safety for people transitioning on. Thank you.
Don't just comment, donate and help. Be the good you want to see.
I need an afterlife motel but I'm not terminally ill I just suck at life
This is beautiful 🥺 God bless her!
God bless this woman and program!! 🙏🙏 My brother is there in SLC.... In the streets!! He wants to stay... We can't help him!
Where can I donate to this place?
This is so nice to help these people
That’s awesome! It’s sad to hear at the same time
This is what a hero looks like.
Capitalism isn't working for society as it should. Perhaps it needs tweaking but there shouldn't be any homless people. People should be able to live with dignity their whole lives. The system needs reworking.
It’s not the government’s job to protect people from themselves.
Much needed. I was surprised when she said sex offenders. I'm sorry, I just don't have sympathy for child molesters. Their victims will suffer long after they are gone. I know what it feels like.
This is an amazing service. Blessings to death doulas~
This is amazing work. Thank you for what you do. I would donate if I could.
You're an amazing person, thank you for all you do
This kinda makes me want to become a caretaker or someone who socializes with old people, before the end of their life.
I just don't know how to start this work

USA needs a better care system. There is such a dearth of state service when it comes to the homeless, and ex-con reintegration.
So? Actions have consequences.
@@roxarecool Yeah, the actions of rich businessmen have consequences for the working class (unemployment etc.) Stop trying to victim blame these people, instead blame the huge corporations and exploitive landlords etc. that put the homeless in their situation.
@@dom_the3166 “Blame the rich!” Dude, you’re a living meme.
The thesis that the homeless are people just like us who happen to have fallen victim to misfortune has been repeated endlessly in the media and the liberal narrative has often presented as typical what is most atypical among the homeless: normal, intact families forced into homelessness by some unexpected injury, plant shutdown, or other unavoidable catastrophe.
@@roxarecool It may not be directly that the rich are causing this. For example, the rich being good at avoiding tax (such as Trump) is reducing money available for social services (eg: stimulus checks) which are there to help those who have been evicted or made redundant. Furthermore, the rich exploit the false hopes of many Americans, with promises of border control or "banning muslims", when in reality they just want to pass deals which will allow them to pay less tax, or leave the Paris Climate deal. The whole mentality of the USA is "it's us or them", with a complete lack of empathy for the less fortunate and the working class.
@@dom_the3166 You still haven’t provided evidence that these actions are the cause of homelessness. The amount of tax revenue the government collects has nothing to do with anti-social crackheads choosing to live outside.
I pray to God to put me on a path to be able change the lives of the people around me like this woman has done. She truly is a blessing.
This is beautiful
Compassion like this is what I use to define beauty
What a hero.
Wow this women is a gem. She is Someone we could all learn all lesson from
As a latín american, I dont understand were is the family of all this people, my family dies in my house with their family and we take care of our elders until they die, so sad how this societies moves towards...and how elders are leave alone...
Not to get into politics, but the American family has been under attack for a long time now.
Also, life just happens sometimes. Some people don't have children, didn't have siblings, and so once their parents die and their spouse, they may be all alone. There are a lot of factors - and that is why more places like this are necessary.
not everyone has family around and if they do some just don’t want to be bothered unfortunately
