I never actually realized how I love the indie style in general. The music, the aesthetic, the clothing, the makeup, the everything.
“Indie style” is generally used to refer to any fashion, music, etc that don’t exactly fall into mainstream categories or are less popular, so it’s not really a certain style. (Sorry this is long)

am loving the amount of vundabar in this playlist- like i love alien blues like its great but i feel like other vundabar songs get overshadowed by it so when i saw smile boyo and chop in here it just made this playlist for me its so good-

knee deep at atp is such a good song its actually a cover of los campesinos' knee deep at atp its more high tempo so if u like it maybe ull like that one too !!
lots of lovejoy and wilbur soot songs are inspired by los campesinos and i love that and i think more ppl should know ab them
i listen to los campesinos but not the other two, so i'll probably look into them both at some point!!!
@@nemnyoom DO IT DO IT. Original wilbur soot music tends to be comedy songs and songs with funny meanings.his album your city gave me asthma is somewhat sad and a slow tone. There are some random songs here and there that you might find you like from him as well. Lovejoy is a band that wilbur soot happens to take place in, as you might know his favorite band is los campesinos and so he gets a bit of inspiration from them. The songs of lovejoy are very good and have a indie rock vibe to it which i’m pretty sure you already know. There is a difference between the are you alright ep and the pebble brain ep. buttt…. please please please give them a try and let me know what you think! They are one of my favorite bands and you might like them as well. If you don’t it’s okay because everyone has their own taste and that’s important!

thank you so much for this playlist. a while back, maybe when this was only a month or 2 old, i found this and was just going about my day listening to it until the second song came on (nevermine by forth wanderers) when i heard it i was in love. i instantly checked what song it was and i listened to it for hours. i was doing horribly mentally back then but that song stuck with me through it all. and its thanks to this playlist. eventually i got a spotify account and i was making a playlist and added that song to it like i always do, then spotify recommended me this playlist again that someone had recorded and put on spotify. i looked at it for a second and my heart lit up with joy as i remembered this. i often forget that this person who made this playlist was the one who introduced me to this song. and to think i didnt even know their name until just now as i'm writing this. (i'm doing much better mentally now by the way, and i have been for a while and i dont think i'm going backwards any time soon)
EDIT: i'm just now looking through this playlist and seeing a bunch more forth wanderers songs. i guess it was just that one song that caught my eye but now that i'm looking at this playlist again for the second time i recognize so many of my favorite forth wanderers songs. but i still hold nevermine dear to my heart. it has and will always be my favorite and first forth wanderers song.

dude like, college is kicking my ass too and sorry if it I'm not supposed to be typing this but
it feels so weird. I'm no longer living with my parents but stay with my aunt and family friends who all work until 10pm. its my first year and I almost haven't been following at all, since some of it I had to do online. it feels so weird and I'm really scared of my life slipping by, and there's these days where I'm ON IT but then I blink and I spent 3 days lying in bed. back home I used to go out everyday to see the sunset with my mum and I kind of miss it cause it feels like it gave a rhythm to my life. now I can go without sleeping for days, I'm actually afraid of sleeping now, cause if I sleep anytime past midnight-1 ill wake up late so I can't sleep cause I'm dreading it till its like 5am and I decide to skip for that day.
and the thing is, I don't feel the difference, hell I feel better rested. I know I should be seeking help at this point I don't even know for what lmao. I pushed back all my exams to the next semester (It was outside of my control, still I haven't studied) actually the only thing I studied for is the entrance exam for another subject, in another country.
i know I'm living wrong, I know you're not supposed to think about things so much that it's paralysing and you don't take action and it's way better to do things wrong but I've been so worried for my future since junior year, cause I used to be big on the live in the moment thing.
I feel like a shell of my former self, haha. part of me wonders if drugs will fix it? my adhd meds don't help at all actually when I take em I'm liable to spend the whole day staring at the wall instead of doing what I'm supposed to be doing and I hate it cause I can't ask for help because all the people around me suck at helping. it sounds edgy but I'm the most knowledgeable about it and they get super preachy and religious.
and lately I've been experiencing new people so I know that my background is NOT normal and it's so tiring cause all my life I've known that most of my family gave me bad advice so I got used to thinking through everything. the only time I feel remotely fine is when I drink alcohol and part of me wonders why I can't constantly be sipping on some, because I know from experience I DONT get addicted to things ever. so it'd make things so much easier but there's this voice in my head saying I shouldn't. and that voice is always telling me I shouldn't do anything even things that make sense.
I feel like my figuring things brainpart is fundamentally fucked.

Thank you I just had the most stressful day of my life i know people just say that but its true. This is the highlight of my day, this also helped me calm down after today.
ive been trying to find more indie rock songs that i havent heard before, and i kindof assumed this playlist would be what someone thinks indie rock is, but it isnt actually the right genre (a lot of yt playlists are like this) but this definitely hit the nail on the head. this is really great!! thank you sm

ok, milennial here. I'm 30, and I don't know how old all of these songs are, but I can say right now that they haven't changed a terrible amount since I was 15 or 16 and 17 and sat, cocooning in my room as a highschool drop-out cuz my mum would rather that i isolate as well. i was incredibly sad, lonely, in a very dark place and feeling so alone except for my internet friends. so I wanna say two things.
after writing this I look down at the journally essay and smack my forehead. but, to be honest, I'd rather write in the comments and have it barely noticed than write in a private online journal and have it be lost to time. i like to write & i can drop essays at the drop of a hat. so here. inspired by the recommended indie playlist 🤣🤣
1) one day you'll be able to cut off whoever you want and you'll be a totally different person in fifteen years. ok no, you'll absolutely still be you, but I still think that's a good opening line. you can look forward to growing richer like wine, you'll be a more powerful you, you'll have the stereo system to blast sad music and hyper happy music as life washes over you. you can water the you that you choose and that applies to whoever hurt you. we absolutely have lessons we shouldn't have had to learn, but as time and age marches on we have to believe that there is something we can do. you're a little plant. i'm still a little plant!! i'm only 35!! i still feel close to 17 except we talk fuckin differently! 70 year olds are sitting around content & giggling about us babies saying how nostalgic we are!! there is time. there is time. and it's the only real thing.. everything changes. but i tell you hwhat, I still want to isolate & cocoon but it's in a beautiful way. it makes me happy. i am a little plant on a warm windowsill, south-facing, plodding and sometimes wilty and sometimes sprouting new leaves but happy all the same, when i actually think about it.
2) man, sometimes I wonder about people younger than me, I think it's just part of seeing the newer life walk paths you have too, but I love what y'all have done with indie. the old & young never work together enough. we have a lot to teach each other, but cuz the older have the power, we can choose to do the easier thing and ignore new ideas. and I think that's arrogant, it's a huge mistake and it's so fucking boring. I'm only 34 and bigger humans than me still think I'm a dumb baby!! BUT I'm starting to have an impulse to go "these young people today.." but I'm not stupid. i have to check myself. i'm a mum to three young highschoolers and imo it's one of the most important responsibilities i have.
3) I never think about my stupid mom.
ok. I'm going back to Minecraft.
i'm luteal right now. 100% emotional and I love it.
