Thanks for another interesting video. My solution is to use a helix located just to the side of the LNB. The proximity of the helix has no effect at all on the received signal strength. With the helix being slightly off the optimum position, I compared the relative signal strengths of my transmissions and it was only 1dB down.
I can see these antennas and that amp taking off big when Icom gets off its duff and releases the new high band radio. I hear they talked a bit more about it at Huntsville.
There seem to be people who want no computer in their shack otherwise it is difficult to explain the existence of all these qo-100 dedicated upconverters and expensive transceivers.
@@M0NXF Ahhh okay, makes sense! lol.. Yeh, I would recommend dropping Patrick an email to chase it up. I know he makes all the parts himself, so I guess if he has a lot of orders his 3D printers will be working flat out. He's a friendly chap and should be able to provide you with an update. Good choice on antenna by the way! They work very well.
Nice...but i prefer the poty feed not to loose the 2db or more on receive Ok... Tuning of poty is tricky and needs an analyzer.. But after tuning it works fine... Greetz and cu on the bird.. DG9BFC

Great video Matt! Thanks!
Thanks for video! what sdr card and software did you use to receive 10 GHz freq?

Let's hope so! I just wish that the new 905 was Full Duplex, because that would make one sweet setup for QO100

Very nice 👍👍
Wish he would make a 1.7 ghz version for weather sats!
Yes please!
My Poty antenna covererd by a tupperware (TM) radome works good enough that there is not enough pressure to go outside in the ugly weather.
Do you have any NanoVNA data for this antenna?
Do all those watts of 2.4GHz cause any problems to the receive LNB?
Neat🥰
Nice!
How long is the delivery i ordered last week and still showing as processing ?
No idea what you have ordered, or where from, but I would recommend to email the store you purchased from for a delivery update. Thanks
@@TechMindsOfficial I have ordered the icecream cone helix from the link on your video just wandered how long yours took to arrive?
