hey my my lovely family, today we have unchained melody from the righteous brothers. this has been a highly recommended video so i hope you all enjoy it. truly i can't find find the write words to express my feelings for this song and the talent . it's totally out of this word .this is more than just a performance so enjoy the drive.
that was such a great reaction, and you are so beautiful.there's not many songs that give such a powerful emotional response but i do have another one. check out the moody blues - nights in white satin. if unchained melody isn't the most powerful love song, nights in white satin is. you'll love it. guaranteed. as a matter of fact , as soon as you're done listening to it, you'll listen to it again.
I think there are times that we can communicate better with a look, an expression on our face more than words can ever match. Your face said it all! Song has interesting history if you’re ever interested. Take care. Be safe.
Many sang it before Bobby Hatfield, many sang it afterwards, but NONE ever came close to equaling his amazing rendition of Unchained Melody. Originally it was written for a 50's prison film called Unchained and it was sung by a prisoner yearning for his freedom and rejoining his true love. The film was a bomb, but the song became popular. No one is ever likely to equal Bobby's cover if Unchained, I doubt any opera star would want to try, they would just make it sound like opera. Thank you for your exquisite reaction! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
There are a couple of things I would like to point out: 1. The ease - he did not wince, strain, or gyrate all over the stage to distract you, and 2. Range - this was extremely, extremely wide and smooth. And there was no electronic apparatus available - inotherwards; this man had 200% talent. Where as today's 'singers' you wonder how much of there voice is REAL.
Bobby Hatfield is an icon supreme. He's probably the greatest singer of the 20th century bar none. And oh yes he reduces women's emotions into putty. The girl here is speechless. RIP Bobby
your reaction is precisely perfect, you honor his legacy and I thank you for that. I am old enough to remember when it came out, and knew it was what legends are made of.
Great music is timeless. He sang a song 57 years ago that made this beautiful young lady almost loose her mind. What a legacy this guy left for all of us.
Hello Mimi Michel when I was a teenager when this song came out I would go to Friday night dancing and slow dance with the girl I was with. While listening to this song that was being played at the end of the night. It was MAGICAL back then as it is today. I really enjoyed listening to it along with your reaction that gave me such a heart felt moment of that time era.
Back in the day, this was called, "making the girls swoon." You've joined the millions of women who have swooned to Bobby Hatfield singing this song. One of the most romantic songs ever written, sung by one of the most soulful vocalists who ever lived.
Absolutely! I wish I could be reincarnated as Bobby. This song will be played while I slow dance with my wife in our kitchen. Just need a wife. Haha. I’m young so I have time
I still get chills when I hear him sing this song just like I did in 1965 when I first heard it. I was in high school. This is Bobby's song!!! He nailed it!❤
Bobby was only 25 years old. His mother got to hear him sing full voice for the first time. His parents were in the audience and Bobby knew he nailed it. You can see it in his face at the end. World lost another great talent too soon.
Yours is the first reaction I’m reacting to, though I’ve watched dozens. I commented on several videos, but my comments have usually not been about the person doing it. But your reaction is really beautiful. This song is very special to a lot of people, and I think you captured why. You feel it much more than you hear it. It lasts in your mind, heart and head. From now on, when you hear “whoa, my love,” this moment will return to you. You won’t even need the rest of it, as great as the rest of it is.This song, and particularly this rendition, does that to all of us. So thank you for your genuineness and your open spirit.
Bobby was the real deal, he made every song he sang sound like magic! He was truly one of a kind and it breaks my heart that he is no longer with us :(
Excellent technical comments, Mimi about Bobby’s technical abilities: it’s rare we get to see a singer performing ‘live’ so miraculously as in this clip. Stars were aligned for sure. We get to see his facial expressions, the sideways moves of his jaw (to ease throat tensions), how he ‘ups’ the sound from throat to head to achieve these wonderful high notes.
Okay, I"m 73 and this video of Bobby's still gets me - and I mean that in the most extreme way, to put it delicately. Rest in Peace my dear Bobby Hatfield. As someone said, "If a woman isn't in love with Bobby after this you don't have a pulse."
Hi Mimi ...Its me Robert. I had to come back to see your reaction on this special song again. You were defiantly impresses with How he sung it ki could tell.
Your honest response and reaction is wonderful. You entered into an age of music that is unparalleled and will never be witnessed again. Welcome to my time.
It just makes me sad that Bobby passed away before these reaction videos became popular. How wonderful it would have been to see how young people like Mimi are just so enamored with his performance.
One of the greatest solo vocal performances of all time! The orchestration is a masterpiece onto itself! Simple beautiful and heartfelt! This performance has stood the test of time and one of the only songs I never get tired of listening to! I’m so happy younger people are listening and discovering the beauty of this song and the time period! Performers had to get it right the first time remember this was live! This song moves men too!
I think what I love most about this song is that he never repeats himself. Every musical phrase sounds entirely unique, so that you never get bored. That is the mark of devotion to craft and professionalism.
Welcome to the music I grew up with. Music is one of the universal languages and the message of love is transcending. This came out when I was 10 and it still gives me gooseflesh along with a few others....it is like being serenaded by an Angel.....
This was before Electronics could adjust your voice to sound how they need you to. This was REAL RAW Talent, I remember when this version came out my sisters would just keep repeat playing it for hours. Back when men would sing with emotion to women not speak a phrase at them. But it never gets old, Thanks for the memory's.
His voice is like melting butter. Many singers have worked this song, but none have done it as well as Bobby. THAT was *righteous* , Bobby!! RIP, my boy...
It's 80 degrees in my living room right now and I have chills......1000th time listening to this,as a male and have the same feeling she is experiencing...........This rendition will NEVER be surpassed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're so right Beautiful. Bobby sounded pretty good. That's why they call it "Blue Eyed Soul". Thank you so much Sweetheart. I really enjoyed it very, very much. Have a Blessed Evening.
A priceless voice that can provide such awesome peace even after almost 60 years. Can make people feel warm and comfortable no matter what they may be facing in life.
I’ve watched this particular reaction at least a dozen times. Your take on Bobby Hatfield’s performance was truly heartfelt and sincere. As a 79 year old romantic, I agree with your assessment. Btw, I think you are absolutely gorgeous. 😊👍🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was the music of my youth, and on the dance floor, when this song was playing, every woman I danced with had to have me hold them up, and every now and then, I did not have to use my arms . . . much.
I am 81 and remember quite a few singers doing this but Bobby's tops them all. I was heading to Viet Nam when his version can out. I can feel the loneliness in every word. Bill and Bobby always did one solo on each of there albums and while on tour. They both wanted to do Unchained, so they flipped a coin. The music was written as the theme for the little-known prison film “Unchained” (January 1955), hence the song title. Todd Duncan sang the vocals for the film soundtrack. It has since become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by the Righteous Brothers. The movie “Unchained” is about a man in prison and longing for his wife and children. Hoping his wife will still be there when he gets out. So you can now understand the meaning of the song. The movie was not very good, or so my friends told me. But we were all teenagers so what did we now. Several artists sang it and it made the billboard top 100. But no one can come close to Bobby Hatfield’s version. Bobby’s version hit the top ten chart. And did it again when it was used in the movie “Ghost” It has since become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by Bobby. According to the song's publishing administrator, over 1,500 recordings of "Unchained Melody" have been made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.
There's that "flipped a coin" rumor again! One can hear the TRUE version of how Bobby came to do this solo, which the brothers gave on the Andy Williams Show , minutes before Bobby did this one-of-a-kind performance.
I have heard thousands of live performances. This has to be one of the best singing performances I have ever heard. Stunning!! He is hitting 2.5 Octaves, Amazing.
back in the 60's an artist actually had to be able to "sing" and sing well, no auto tune, or they never got anywhere near a big stage, thank you for your honest, emotional reaction
I am loving all these reactions from all these beautiful African ladies. They are all so beautiful! The Brothers will never be duplicated. This is a solo of Bobby. They are actually Two. That’s a professional singer! No auto tune back then just talent! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If I remember correctly, he was 22 and this was a live performance for a tv show with his mother in the audience. His smile at the end lets you know he nailed it. He was very talented, but there was a lot of professional craft pulling at your heart strings. It’s one of the best music videos out there.
Bobby Hatfield was 25 when performing this son on The Andy Williams Show in 1965. I was 14 at the time. There were many good singers and groups the 60’s and Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley were two of them.
This is not just a great song, it is one you cannot un-hear, and do not want to. This performance is a life changing experience. Trust your requesters, we have been through the first memorable time seeing this before.
both he and his singing partner were there, not knowing which one would be called to sing this song until just beforehand. So he went up to sing it. His parents were there and that's probably why he humbly bit his lip at the end. The vibrations of his voice just remained in you when the song was over and that's probably why you had such a physical reraction. great reaction !
He had a beautiful voice, and you had a beautiful, honest reaction. I just saw you fall in love way deeper than you expected. That was great - you were as captivating to watch for me as he was captivating to you.
Beautiful reaction to one of the most iconic, beautiful examples of blue eyed soul. Bobby Hatfield's voice is legendary and I really enjoyed watching you react to the pure talent of the man. Thank you for the reaction and continue the great work!

it's baby making music, responsible for many births
I think there are times that we can communicate better with a look, an expression on our face more than words can ever match. Your face said it all!
Song has interesting history if you’re ever interested. Take care. Be safe.
Im ready for marriage after i seen you
Welcome to the music I grew up with... 😉
Bobby Hatfield could blow 99% of the singers today right off the stage without hardly trying.

RIP Bobby, your legacy and voice marches on

Yes, it can make u cry. It makes me cry EVERY time I hear it, and I’m 67. I heard it for the first time back then. It’s magic.
Pushes her hair back and touches her heart... she's in love! ❤⚘
The greatest performance in history .
As a member of generation X I would like to thank this song for being responsible for for most of us being here.
LOL
Lol
😂😂😂
You too, huh?
😂😂👍🏻
You hit the jackpot here. It does not get any better than this. Nobody has words for this that has a heart made of flesh that can also hear.
your reaction is precisely perfect, you honor his legacy and I thank you for that. I am old enough to remember when it came out, and knew it was what legends are made of.
Beautiful song for 60 years, now matched by your beautiful emotional reaction.
Two full octaves and not even a stretch for Bobby!
That little lip bite at the end...he knew..."nailed it!"
Rumor has it his mother was in the audience that performance.
No pressure. Millions of people watching on live TV, no sweat, but, MOM!!
そうなんですよね〜鳥肌立って来ます!何となく感動しているのが、分かります。言葉が止まらないですね…ボビーのなんてステキな事…夢中になってしまいました。

Many people owe this song for their very existence.
@@sourisvoleur4854 Absolutely 💯👌
Serenading...
Can you just imagine how many babies were conceived to this song. Beautiful reaction.
No one can do this like Bobby. Many have tried through the years.I believe they quit. Because Bobby owns this song.
"Godspeed your love to me" No one talks like that anymore. America is a shell of what it once was.
So true!
I SOOOOO agree!
Can't find the words? That's ok. He's been giving us goosebumps for 60 years. He leaves us all feeling that way. Amazing.
God is touched your heart through this song what a wonderful gift this man had and still has in heaven
I still get chills when I hear him sing this song just like I did in 1965 when I first heard it. I was in high school. This is Bobby's song!!! He nailed it!❤
Same here, it was the Andy Williams show. Andy sang Moon River😊 that was a great song check it out.

'Blue eyed soul', at its best. The voice of an angel. :)
That's what we called it--per the Righteous Brothers. They named it that...
Blue Eyed Soul
Bobby was the real deal, he made every song he sang sound like magic! He was truly one of a kind and it breaks my heart that he is no longer with us :(
Mimi I think Bobby would be pleased he left you speechless. My reaction to this video is beautiful song and beautiful lady
How blessed we were to be alive when he sang this. We may be old now but we witnessed the most fantastic music.
Bobby Hatfield was not of this world, he was s gift from God himself. PERFECTION in the flesh RIP Bobby
Excellent technical comments, Mimi about Bobby’s technical abilities: it’s rare we get to see a singer performing ‘live’ so miraculously as in this clip. Stars were aligned for sure.

No autotune,voice, poesy,melody,sentiment
I loved your reaction. It was so sincere and you have a great knowledge about singing
I am 72 and watched this program on 1965. I was 14.
Preciosas manos. Impresionantes.
There are no words to capture the magic of this performance.
His music wraps arms around you so tight, his voice is velvet, a man and a mic == no special mixing like they do in todays music.
When Bobby sang this every woman fell in love with him.
Hi Mimi ...Its me Robert. I had to come back to see your reaction on this special song again. You were defiantly impresses with How he sung it ki could tell.
Loved watching you react to hearing this great talent !!
Possibly the best live performance of any song by any person ever!
Right up there with Pavarotti’s best Nessun Dorma.
You do not exaggerate.
Your honest response and reaction is wonderful. You entered into an age of music that is unparalleled and will never be witnessed again. Welcome to my time.
He was a brilliant singer and still you ladies swoon in delight all these years later ❤️🌹😁🇬🇧
It just makes me sad that Bobby passed away before these reaction videos became popular. How wonderful it would have been to see how young people like Mimi are just so enamored with his performance.
Live with no digital correction. Truly Amazing
The words your looking for is ANGELIC.
Over 600 singers have covered this song, and many were very, very good. But this song belongs to Bobby Hatfield.
So glad you enjoyed it so very much.
Indeed its the masterpiece
Even Elvis paled in comparison...
Real talent live no 30 studio takes no autotune! Real music❤️

Awesome reply. I hate repetative wording in a song, its just a way to dump a cheap low talent song on the public, and turn as much profit as possible.
ABSOLUTELY

9 months later and this is still one of the best reactions to this song!
Like What? Musical Madness!
That was live, no autotune, just a magnificent voice.
Bobby WAS auto-tuned ... in utero
Absolutely, incredibly beautiful! The songs is pretty great also! Great reaction!

Timeless emotion. Hatfield is a legend. Such a beautiful song. Great vid.
What kind of musical magic is this? Perfect.
Bobby melted many women’s heart with that unbelievable voice, you will be married after that song
Thank you for your reaction to this classic beautiful song. No one ever sang it like the great Bobby Hatfield!
I find myself listening to more and more classic music! There is nothing today that can compare to this music.
Many artists have performed this song, but Bobby Hatfield owns it. He's in a league of his own with this song.
It doesn't hurt that you can open envelopes on his jaw line.
I agree he owned the song here he didn't just perform it
@@finnmcool2 wow talk about it😊🤗

Your reactions was so pure it made me cry. It's so beautiful seeing a woman in so much love.
Back in the day, with real talented singers and performers. This live interpretation is outstanding. He, the mic and nothing else.
Beautiful reaction. Most beautiful live performance of all time In my opinion.

You've just had a Love song, sang to you! Today's artist "can't touch that."
You said that right
If you hadn't paused it and heard it for the first time uninterrupted, you wouldn't have been able to speak at all.
Beautiful Song. Beautiful Reaction. Beautiful Lady.
I'm 67 so I grew up on great music like this. This was live and sounded just like the record. Love your show too❤❤
Fabulous reaction.... Well done, thanks
Welcome to the club, Mimi. I’ve been made speechless by him for a half century, and I still can’t take my eyes off him.
😍😍😀,trust me i know now im also in the club,i just became so righteous
My future wife and danced to this song in 1965, my forever ♥.
both he and his singing partner were there, not knowing which one would be called to sing this song until just beforehand. So he went up to sing it. His parents were there and that's probably why he humbly bit his lip at the end. The vibrations of his voice just remained in you when the song was over and that's probably why you had such a physical reraction. great reaction !
bobby hatfield is the king of this song
He owned it ,oh my God
Maybe thats how angels sound she wasnt even born when that song came out look at her reaction lol
No doubt.
He has stronger powers than Superman. Women can not resist his powers.
He had a beautiful voice, and you had a beautiful, honest reaction. I just saw you fall in love way deeper than you expected. That was great - you were as captivating to watch for me as he was captivating to you.
Well said Vincent. I couldn't agree more.
