No boat inspections but you are required to purchase a permit for the lake. You can get a permit at any of the surrounding gas stations in the valley!

I went last August and I had a huge catfish by the damn. I was fighting it for maybe 5 or 6 minutes and when I let him run he got wrapped around something in the water. I assume it was a tree or branch but I lt broke off. I was so bummed but it was still a great trip with a bunch if smaller catfish
Awesome 🎉🎉🎉 we were out there this weekend and didn’t catch anything. I swear my fish finder was busted then like 100 fish showed up on it. Couldn’t even get a bite thoo😢 glad to see there is actually fish out there 🎉

Hey man sorry just seeing this. You can get minnows in Bakersfield at Copes Rod and Tackle or you can get them in Lake Isabella at the liquor store and in South Lake at the Gas Station.

Is the live scope worth it? Or is it a gimmick. I feel like if I get one, I’d spend more time using livescope than fishing
It depends, can you afford it? That’s the biggest question. It’s helped me find fish for sure, but it doesn’t help them bite 😂
