I used to run a Omniturn GT 75 lathe, it had a air collet closer when I worked for an aerospace company. This is what I want to end up with but for less then 50k new or 25k used cost of an Omniturn. I do like this new 5C Headstock, just not on a taig lathe bed. I want to get another CNC mill base and convert using this new 5C headstock. It needs a timing belt also, not a step pulley. A DC motor with variable speed and encoder and I'll be rockin it. I got lots of parts to make and I'd really rather make them myself not farm them out. Hay John, please consider building a 5C headstock with air collet closer with timing belt option, id really be interested in that.
