I have an incredibly copium laced theory but I still find it plausible. Team cherry did not want silksong to be presented at the Nintendo Direct, for some reason (maybe they didn't want the trailer to be narrated over?), and the reason Leth didn't shut down the hype as he did before (especially since the direct was one of the most hyped up game events in a while) is because they didn't want to kill the hype for the entire month by telling us not to get our hopes up, and they may annonuce something later this month.
I still have the hope for the release trailer at least telling the date or month, on the 24th of February and without an event, just releasing the trailer on thier channel without a special event like batdr did.
@@T4coTV I mean a lot of people don't seem to realize that... TC announced the game themselves. :V It wasn't a part of a direct or a Nintendo exclusive event at all. To add more to your argument, it would make more sense that they release the trailer by themselves because that way the trailer goes to silksong fans, not Nintendo fans exclusively.

April is the earliest they might release it, but I think May or June are more likely. Anyhow, I don't mind waiting a bit longer if it means the game will be nice and polished :D
I think the most likely thing is that they just post a release trailer that's like "Tomorrow" or something. From what I'm gathering, they're right now fixing all the bugs. Once that finishes, it seems like they'll be ready to release the game. Since everyone on the production side seems ready to put this game out and be finished with production, I don't think they'd even wait to release it once they have it ready. But until then, they probably don't want to promise a release date, get caught up on one seemingly tiny bug that can break the game in xyz scenario, and have to delay it a week to fix it, to everyone's detriment. They want to have the game polished clean before shipping it out, and I doubt they want to wait after that happens, so they'll probably just put it out as soon as it is done. Or at least, put it out on the closest Friday to when they finish.
My theory is that they will announce it at a PlayStation event. So far we got news from Nintendo once and Xbox once. Last is PlayStation or I guess steam.
