When Dio recorded that song, the band Dio was way more than just RJD and some backing musicians, it was hands down one of the greatest metal bands ever, with Vivan Campbell on guitar, Jimmy Bain on bass, and the great Vinny Appice on drums. Any band that wants to cover that early version of Dio has big shoes to fill. Vinny Appice alone is a fucking drum machine god thing. Hale's got the voice for it, no doubt.
Mike Couture I agree as well. Lizzie's voice is GREAT and her guitar is good. But like Jimi Hendrix, the backing band, just cant keep up with the talent..... In my opinion....I know Dio like.... well... like my own ballsack and the backing musicians are not holding a candle to the original.... however it IS a high bar to hurtle, Dio being who He was and all.... she does pretty good!

I really enjoyed the cover they performed for the album and, after having watched this vid, I must admit that Lzzy sounds the same live as she sounds in the studio. BTW, her voice mesmerized me. It's simply AWE-SOME. She's the best female rock singer I've ever heard.

GREAT cover. Incredible vocals, SICK drummer, bassist killed it, right in the pocket. Lead guitar left me wanting a little, but still pulled his weight, for sure. Overall, just a great cover.
