I hope she does, too. It's good, to see a legacy continued, real or imagined, in ones children, from ones parents. My grandfather was a good welder. Top at his profession. I was in prison (after getting caught up in some bad stuff). But, leaned welding g in there, then got released. My grandaddy was annoyed that I'd got a criminal record, but happy that I had learned welding. He then taught me the finer points, how to make it quicker, better, safer, and more. To top it off, I was offered a placement at a pipe elder (where more experience, and skill is needed, than rig or not welding). I turned it down, but, I still think of my grandfather, each time I weld. It's silly things, I know, but it means the world to those, that actually HAVE them "silly" things going on.

Actually saw this live, shortly after I moved to Birmingham.. Country Boy got a lot of singers in the field to go on and be very successful.. Wendy Holcombe was one, as well.. Got her start there too...
at a family gathering in early 1960s my dad was handed an acoustic guitar. and he started strumming that thing in an eldon shamblin way. i was about 8 years old and i knew my dad was a pedal steel guitar player. but my jaw dropped in amazement as he sang that song and played the guitar. freaky

I'm from Talladega, Alabama and grew up watching Country Boy Eddie. I can't believe I missed this. Probably because I was 16 when this episode aired and I was always sleeping as late as possible before school.
