Thanks for sharing all your advice with everyone! I've been reading through all your comments and it's lovely how supportive of each other you guys have been!
I am Justine's age and I everything she says is true! Most of the stuff you learn in school is just filler. Follow your passions, learn as much about them as you can, but don't let all the other "filler" junk overwhelm you. Learn as much as you can about entrepreneurship, business, real estate, finance - things that you will use forever - and mesh those skills with what you are most passionate about. This will result in you living a life following your dreams, and getting paid to do so! Love this video, Justine!
I love that you didn’t only show us products, but gave us your side of the student life and some advice about that. Thanks for that and thanks for being true to us ❤️
Thanks for the advice. School was very though for me (I don’t like reading and studying is not for me), didn’t make lots of friends, got a degree in hospitality and management which I don’t use. I basically wanted to be responsible with my parents for being available to send me to school abroad (in my country it’s kind of a big thing). Once I graduated, returned back home cause I was basically depressed living on my own with no friends in Miami. Any how, here I’m am a 30 years old struggling reggaetón artist, trying to start my own recording studio/record label. You’re the inspiration for this new generation. Love always.
When you think the thing you're learning about is boring, remember this: It's not necessarily about for example, learning about ancient Rome, it's the skills you learn from it, and how to apply those skills to a situation in the future and in your life. But in school you apply these skills to examples where you're most likely going to learn them from. So remember, it's better to listen and learn even if *the example* is not going to help you in the future, because the skills are what you're going to need to take away from that example for the future.
dont rush into school! take your time. i spent 6 years lallygagging, and finally after getting my associates degree in design i finally realized my passion for video editing thanks in large part, to you, iJustine. But by now, i've burned through all my money and con-not afford to go back to school for my bachelors or certification. Not everyone knows what they want to do by the time you graduate high school, and taking some time off to work and find yourself, and what your truly enjoy is okay!
Back to school season is on its peak right now! And my tips to school and college goers would be. to relax, take a deep breath as your grades don't define your intellect and who you are! Make your studies exciting and interactive by finding new ways! Just try to give your best always and don't loose hope!😊
Haha. First, I loved your message about finding the thing that you're passionate about. I've been doing that since 2010 when I realized there was NOTHING I would be doing with my anthropology degree, so I went back for creative writing. Now I'm in an online master of fine arts program in creative writing at Southern New Hampshire University. It's amazing. I got rejected from an MFA program at another school and ALMOST gave up on getting that degree until one day I started looking into it again. Since 2012, I've independently published seven romance novels and I'm working on my eighth and ninth. I'd say this to students who are just getting ready to start college: PLAN. Get a good planner now and get into the habit of making lists. Don't just rely on something digital either because there is the SMALL chance that you might lose it. You will get fed up with classes sometimes. You'll want to pull your hair out, but remember that you are investing in your future. Also, if you have a learning disability, don't be afraid to ask for help. I wish I would have done that more with some of my harder classes because I have dyslexia. Thankfully now I'm not relying on the disabilties office with my school, but it's good to know they're there (I'd say that my dyslexia isn't severe considering I've been able to write so much). Those Bose headphones are pretty damn tempting...
Man from same...years as you xD and yeah I messed up saving so many times haha. The I never did the animation, 3D stuff and what so that helped, and saved some stuff on floppy hahaha or use mp3 player onboard memory haha.
I am a media student studying Digital Film and Screen Arts (DFSA) which incorporates everything I love - film, photography, animation, post production - the lot! Love the idea of some of this tech actually! Do love things that make editing and other sitting down tasks easier! xx
Super proud to be going into my senior year of Mechanical Engineering and my advice is to do what you want the most, not what other people are doing or what people tell you to do!! If I did what everyone else told me before college, I'd be doing something I hated. Be you! Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. And if you're a girl lookig to go into STEM/ Engineering, DO IT, women are needed more nowadays in engineering and stemmy fields
This isn't just a tech unboxing but also to back to school advice that I wish I learned when I'm still a student 😂 I graduated college a year ago, computer science major, and I miss being a student 😂
I got my computer science degree 22 years ago, back when they actually taught you stuff and didn't spend 99% of the time filling your head with completely worthless social justice warrior garbage. I feel bad for you kids that have a huge student loan debt and know about as much as my big toe.
I am in school for computer science. It's very hard for me. I love technology, but when i started i only realized how hard it actually was. Moving away, socializing/trying to make friends, studying, being in shape, have a job,... it is all very hard to handle. Its a hard transition. The teachers most of the time do not care about you and it you pass or not... But i am working on my future, and that is what matters. Love you Justine.
My first computer was an Apple IIe. The other day i was in an Apple repair shop and they had one there that I could play around with. LOL. I couldn't believe I had fun with that thing in the early 80s. I thought it was the coolest thing ever invented. Well, actually it was. I was one of the first kids in junior high that wrote papers on an actual computer rather than a typewriter. So freaking cool. Now kids don't even know what a typewriter is. It's amazing how far tech has come. I love seeing female tech reviewers. As a techy female myself, it's nice to know that younger generations of girls/women will be tech savvy rather than "just the boys". Thanks Justine for being a role-model to so many of these girls and young ladies. You truly are an inspiration.
Well done, Justine! Wish you told us more about yourself! But not like Q&A style. This way, little stories here and there. It makes your videos bit more personal and it feels like the viewer and creator have better connection! Continue please!!!
3:08 Why are accessory companies so reluctant on using USB-C instead of the micro-USB standard for charging¿ It drives me crazy how long it is taking them to adopt (btw good video iJustine 👍).
+Pe iust for smartphones, yes (with the exception of the iPhone); for accessories, no. Headphones, mice/mouses, and things like those are slow to adopt.
Currently I am going back to school to finish my business management degree, and plan on making 2 returns one for coding and pretty much what you did, and also pharmacy school. I do have to say to the younger generations that once your start your college years, just keep it going. I went to college right after High school and I regret not going back because I would’ve been done by now with an associates in business management and started my coding degree. Just play it out and everything will work!
I’ll be majoring in Acting; and hearing about truly important it is to find your passion & pursue it made me smile, because I have found mine & it’s a lot daunting, but I’m proud that I’m following what I’m passionate about. Thank you, Justine❤️
My back to school advice is hard work pays off and just do your best and keep working, there is always room for improvement. I started back at college the 13th and after seeing how my grades improved, I know hard definitely pays off.
I love very old - 2004! My MS in Computer Science and Tech was earned in 1986! True about the pace of change. I never went for a PhD in tech since whatever I would focus on for four years would likely be obsolete by the time I finished. Thanks for this video!
3:58 i'm trying to be more confident wel atleast the last 2 years that are coming up😂 It's good to know that someone like that can turn into someone so cool as you Justine💕
To all those who are starting college my tip is to just breathe! No matter how overwhelming it gets everything will be okay in the end! Also go on your own pace! College isn’t a race and you will eventually finish when you’re ready to. It’s okay to take a semester or two off to collect yourself back. I went 6 straight years and after graduating i attempted to go back and I couldn’t do it, took a year off and now I’m excited to go back! Also you will have a mental breakdown, just remember to surround yourself with positive people, talk to your college counselor or if you need to see a therapist to vent then go for it! Good Luck!
10:20 true true.. so not everything thaught in school is necessary, but it's important to try things and finding what we're most interested in (and sometimes accept that we lost interest in many things too)..
This is an amazing twist on the whole ‘school tech’ videos. Very inspiring! I’m going off next year for either mechatronic engineering or software engineering. But I don’t know yet, and it scares my not to know what I want with my future and having to choose a path.
Awesome Justine If you find something you like as i did being a chef I use to get up at 3:30am travel near San Fransisco get home at 6pm then work on the weekends. One thing I must say is that I loved every moment of it and wish i could bring back 1998 and do it all over again. Also as you say there are a lot of things you will be tough in school that you many never use in the real world but we have to remember what I many not use you may so there has to be a balance. For anyone in school or looking to go to collage just remember Learning is knowledge and if you decide hey I though I would enjoy this collage course and don't it's ok to change just make sure you find the one you like and make the most of collage and the job that is to come after.
My major is biology for pre-veterinary medicine and I'm hoping to start applying to vet schools next summer! It's pretty nerve-wracking, but I've always loved school. Back to school videos are some of my favorites, especially the tech ones, so thanks for sharing Justine!
Currently going to school for my bachelors degree in Christian studies for the emphasis of youth ministry and getting my associates degree in graphic designs and web design. I love this video you are so correct about watching what you put up on social media a lot of people do not understand that logic but it’s a very great tip. I’m old enough to remember going to high school and especially being in college and having to put my designs on a floppy disk and other forms of storage and not having auto save. So when you said or spoke about it’s completely different nowadays when we have auto save built into our programs you are completely correct. I love your videos. Keep up the great content you and your sister ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾👏🏾🥰🥰🥰

My school struggles are staying motivated. My tip for people is to take breaks and then come back to work and just relax and stay connected with friends. I’m studying resort and hospitality management.
Graduated with my Law Degree (uk) and staying to get my Masters Degree. Don't think I would have gotten through final year without your videos making me laugh and smile. Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My school struggle Going to school Lol I don’t mind school that much unless I get the most hated teacher in the school but my serious struggle is waking up for school
Solid advice for college students. As now an old man (30), I can say that college can be an important part in one's life, but hopefully people don't peak there. Continue to grow and don't be the guy/girl who reminiscences about frat/sorority parties as golden years. Learning doesn't start and stop in school.
I went through university without even a laptop. Didn’t even have a USB flash drive, let alone the cloud. I had to email myself my work so that I would have access to it at home and at school. Wifi on campus wasn’t even a thing. I graduated in 2006. It’s amazing how much technology has changed in just over 10 years.
So inspiring Justine as a senior in high school and hopefully going into college your wisdom is priceless 💓 when I first subscribed in 2013 you have been a constant inspiration throughout my teen years.💓
I went to school for Ski Resort Operations and Management.... and no that’s not a course to learn how to ski lol. I went on to work in the paddling industry (opposite season!) and now for a Motorsports company 😄 basically all outdoor adventure recreation related.
I was thinking the whole time about how you played Mario Kart Double Dash in college 😂 loved this video! I’m 24 going back to school for my M.S in Biomedical Sciences and specializing in Hematology and Oncology. I hope I will contribute to medicine in a large way. Thank you iJ for being a low key motivational figure in my life ❤️
Great video! It is always amazing to see how much technology and society has changed along with it and the lives it have shaped! I got my Bachelors in Media Studies, minors in Audio/Video Production and Information/Communication Technology! And now off to get my MFA in Cinema and Media Production. xD You inspire me to do what I love doing and I was that introverted kid too but now I've grown up I suppose lol
This is awesome and I'm in college, going for a career path I love and I got summer work in my field that I love. I could never afford any of this. The majority of my tech is outdated or bargain basement clearance. Thanks though Justine. Glad you found success in the field you love.
Thanks for sharing all your advice with everyone! I've been reading through all your comments and it's lovely how supportive of each other you guys have been!

Jesús Christ in 2004 I was 1. Every time I see her channel I think she is like in her 20s but then you remember she looked like she has been in her 20s like 10 years ago😂😂💀
Getting the surface 3 at the end of the week!!!!!!!!

My school struggle
Going to school
Lol I don’t mind school that much unless I get the most hated teacher in the school but my serious struggle is waking up for school
Unfortunately the waking up part doesn't end after school :p
I wish middle and high schools let you bring laptops and tech gadgets without restrictions
TheGoldenIceBall
I get laptops to school...
@@Zizotron I mean without restrictions
Solid advice for college students.
As now an old man (30), I can say that college can be an important part in one's life, but hopefully people don't peak there. Continue to grow and don't be the guy/girl who reminiscences about frat/sorority parties as golden years. Learning doesn't start and stop in school.
I went through university without even a laptop. Didn’t even have a USB flash drive, let alone the cloud. I had to email myself my work so that I would have access to it at home and at school. Wifi on campus wasn’t even a thing. I graduated in 2006. It’s amazing how much technology has changed in just over 10 years.
wish i could have tech like this lol x
Tammy Plays Hmm, get a job
hmm, no
Thanks
You should do gummy food vs real food with ro
Only thing more entertaining than an iJustine unboxing is the POTUS singing pop songs.
So inspiring Justine as a senior in high school and hopefully going into college your wisdom is priceless 💓 when I first subscribed in 2013 you have been a constant inspiration throughout my teen years.💓
What you mean back days!! Don't say you're over 27 year old😱
I’m in school getting a bachelors degree in exercise science. Next up is a degree in nutrition.
My advice is if you wanna go to school then go.
Bake a cake 🎂!!!!!
Mark my words. I will NEVER stop watching this Channel.
1:30 waybackmachine lets you view a complete history of and website all the way back to its creation, I love it and it works great

I went to school for Ski Resort Operations and Management.... and no that’s not a course to learn how to ski lol. I went on to work in the paddling industry (opposite season!) and now for a Motorsports company 😄 basically all outdoor adventure recreation related.

I’m 24 going back to school for my M.S in Biomedical Sciences and specializing in Hematology and Oncology. I hope I will contribute to medicine in a large way.
