- Paid content for @Prada. Coral reefs are often described as the rainforests of the seas, and for good reason. While they account for less than one percent of the world’s ocean, they support a whopping 25 percent of all marine species. However, rising ocean temperatures and acidification, exacerbated by adjacent impacts like destructive fishing, resource extraction, and marine pollution could cause all UNESCO World Heritage coral reefs to become functionally extinct by 2100, according to UNESCO - unless we rapidly embrace blue economies, change our behavior and relationship with the ocean and drastically reduce carbon emissions over the coming decades.

finally there is a video dedicated to Indonesia biodiversity.
Indonesia is not a joke. it contain both rich land biodiversity and the ocean biodiversity.
and on earth, there is only 2 places where you can see a rich ocean biodiversity. coral triangle and great barrier reef.
amazon is nothing to coral triangle in the size but it's always get the exposure to international eyes. but not with coral triangle.
Edit: i know coral triangle is also about Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Eastern part of Malaysia, and Northern Australia. But most of coral triangle located in Indonesia territory.
There is also a great freshwater biotope in Indonesia and greater southeast asia. Then there is the tropical regions of Africa.
Only 3 highly productive biodiversity locations on this planet. Not a whole lot.
Then we have the northern forests and their biotope. Canada, Alaska, N. America, Eastern Europe and Siberia and beyond. That biotope is less productive but equally important. The colder air and denser air help to trap C02 within the denser forest regions. Very important.
indo is a joke, your fisherman blow up reefs, fish australian marine parks... I wouldn't be advertising this place to hard
This is not Indonesia/ this is west papua. We are merely incorporated into this racist country called Indonesia.
@@jassminesamarah finally hate comment toward indonesia... wow girl, u are so cool 😂
So happy to see the wonderful people helping to protect such a amazing place in the sea.
Such beautiful coral reefs. ❤️🪸🌊
The price to go to Raja Ampat is expensive compared to other tourist destinations in Indonesia, this is one of the many methods how the Indonesian government tries to protect the marine biodiversity of Raja Ampat 🙌❤
our traditional pinisi boats explore Raja Ampat on our trips and the magical thing is that you'd never find the same thing twice. the marine life always feels new, always magnificent. we let our Tour Leaders explore and it's mesmerizing every single time.
Thanks for meaningful and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
Bellissimo posto💙
beautiful footage
This is so beautiful.
Amazing
I’m glad that the video actually included a local dive guide like Usal Mambraku instead of just focusing on the foreigner’s point of view. 👍
To those who want to witness the unspoiled beauty of Raja Ampat, you’re welcome to visit the Indonesian province of Southwest Papua, and most likely you will fly into the provincial capital of Sorong, where you might enjoy a day or two of local life.
Great video guys 🩵 We’ve been operating for more than 10 years in this incredible part of the world and it’s wonderful to see some content focus on conservation some of the success stories and working with local communities in Raja Ampat.
Nice sharing this video and have a blessd day 👍💙💕👍💗🦋
Thank u!!..🧡🐨
amazing
I hope Papua Indonesia always peace
Please protect mother nature, keep it away from exploration 🙏
Don't you mean exploitation. As every corner of the world has been pretty much discovered by now?
@@Anonymous-bm8sv With satellites help every square cm on the globe probably has a name, but there are unexplored depths of oceans. Its better if less and less people know about some places.
@Anonymous-bm8sv not really, the ocean hasn't even been 100% explored
I hope you mean exploitation.

Rajaampat is not just a centre of biodiversity, but also has many relics of human migration history. There are caves with prehistoric paintings, language diversity, and historical buildings.
*_Lingkungannya harus tetap dijaga supaya lestari!!!_*
👌😎👍
Wonderful Indonesia❤❤❤
Id wanna see what super corals looked like
And you are the reason they're destroyed. You go to see them, and destroy a very small part by being there, multiply that by millions of people that want to see them.
@Bsksfrthat's why indo govt set high tariff for people who wants to travel there
I'm not fortunate enough to go to ocean, God bless you
Nat Geoo 😃
I love nature and all liven thangs
wonderful people
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF INDONESIA ❤❤❤
Your documentary really attract tourists especially divers to explore this 'hidden' spot
If most of the tourists will only make a hidden place worse like polluting, destroys, does not protect nature etc. I'll be very happy if those places remains hidden.
The price to go to Raja Ampat is quite expensive, I doubt tourists would spend a lot of money for something like scuba diving (unless if they're really into it), not to mention how many hours and rules you need to follow to get there.. This is just one of the many methods how the Indonesian government tries to protect the marine biodiversity in Raja Ampat 😉
❤️❤️❤️
Indonesia ❤
Indonesia is wonderful
In Raja Ampat I saw the walking little tiny shark with my very own eye. Remarkable experince in my life!!
Watching
Include Tubbataha reef in the Philippines
As these areas dwindle due to climate change. The value of tourism to these areas will go up and become nearly priceless. Then we'll need to manage over tourism since humans seem to love things to death 😅 sustainability is the key
Most of tourist who come to Indonesia going to Bali, very little going to another place like raja ampat, labuan bajo, etc. People only know Bali because the facility for touris is good and many.
Indonesia Hebat
❤
Salam lestari 🇮🇩
I was lucky I've ever lived in Raja Ampat
as indonesian, i am so proud knowing this
Beautiful video and scenes of the Indonesian corals reefs. 🌊 I am surprised National Geographic did not include subtitles when that woman started talking.... 😅 Remember the subtitles, National Geographic. 😅
There’s a [CC] button on the video to turn the captions on, you know …
Raja Ampat= Four Kings ?
Inilah Raja Ampat satu-satunya tempat dimana terumbu karang masih tumbuh subur.
This is Raja Ampat the one place where coral reefs are still thriving.
Semoga pemerintahan Indonesia semakin ketat melindungi Laut Indonesia dan memberi hukuman
Yet another reason why the doomsday clock is at 90 seconds to midnight...
I hope... flights, accommodation, etc to Raja Ampat remain LIMITED, EXCLUSIVE & EXPENSIVE to avoid trashy "influencers" going there 🙂
Indonesia should build more hotels near the rift so everyone could visit the corals and more job for the locals
Seriously?? This place is not suitable for something like that. It's so fragile and precious. If you want to visit such a place as you mentioned, go to Thailand or somewhere else.
That's enough with the hotels currently available... let them be exclusive and expensive.
@@Amartysen88 Most of tourist who come to Indonesia going to Bali, very little going to another place like raja ampat, labuan bajo, etc. People only know Bali because the facility for touris is good and many. Recently Labuan Bajo is a trend for domestic tourist because a massive promotion from goverment.
@@izzigosa so what's your point? Your statement doesn't alter the fact that the place is very fragile.

FREE MY HOMELAND WEST PAPUA! We are still under the colonial yoke of Indonesia. From the Dutch colonists handed over via the US in 1969 to Indonesia - Cold War politics. WE TOO deserve our human rights! FREE WEST PAPUA. Raja Ampat one of many beautiful places in my beloved homeland - WEST PAPUA!
This beautiful place is NOT a suitable place for tourists who cannot dive or expect decent accommodation.
Unfortunately, the Raja Ampat coral reef has been damaged several times due to being hit by ships during low tide. one of them is a luxury British cruise ship carrying tourists in 2017. I don't understand how the crew of a sophisticated ship can be so stupid.
Once you advertise this place in here, divers and what nots will start flocking that direction.
Rajaampat has been known as tourist destination for about 20 yrs ago.
It has been so blatantly obvious for decades that we need to get emissions down to save that precious world, yet so perplexing how we still use fossil fuels and ruin all that beauty
welcome to papua barat daya
Nobody gafs about the foreigners who claim expertise. Smart people know local people r the true experts. What is sasi laut? I expect sasi laut is the secret to their conservation and regeneration success
Thank you for telling us to turn on captions so we could read the translated subtitles… wasted my time
However it was nice of you to include them so actually still thank you for that

It's funny Because people from countries whose ecosystems have been damaged ask our country to protect the ecosystem 😅
And we get banned for some economics interest, so we can't manage nature cause no money, THEY manage it cause they get money before (by colonialization, industrial revolution, modernize, new order), then they call us bad person for not manage nature 😂
