Hi Pavan, could you please help us in achieving these points like......Networking, Advisory Roles opportunities, reaching out to recruiters, through this UA-cam channel/platform.
Well I have 14 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud. My experience is if you want to stay in a tech individual contributor role post a decade and half it's must to take the SME or architect role else take the management route like the team lead or manager profile. I see people with 10-20 years of experience technically outdated never jumped the professional ladder with no desire for hikes or switching. These people are heading towards career suicide. As it's true more experience doesn't mean you are good tech because it's skills that matter. Moral of story keep on learning new things to survive in IT. It's an industry of skilled professionals and merciless during layoff times, so stay skilled.
that is why i decided to work in a government agency....i have been working for 15 years and although there are limited promotion and career advancement, there are work life balance and peace of mind compared to working in private sector

The IT parks under SEZ are bringing in rent, and that's their priority. Employees with tenure of 3 to 10 plus years need to switch or or upskill or both or acquire wealth not just salar. Kindly run this thought that we will age and plan accordingly
upskill itself is not enough , nowadays young people are wayy more prepared and nurtured to compete against the older workforce its just that older folks should use their money and use it on young people and make money out of it, by providing value
Switching is always beneficial. it doesn't matter if you lose some time, u want that CTC tag because companies give hike on CTC. So now you know it's not the employees but the way you evaluate our worth. so continue that and employee will continue to switch. and one must switch.
Correct, I'm facing this scenario now and regretting not switching frequently. I stayed in one company from like last 4 years, company only give 2 appraisals of 10% to everyone and cancelled 2. Meanwhile within this tenure my friend switched 3 jobs and took 40% to 80% raise and how his CTC is 2.5 times then mine. It's a shame on employee to show loyalty these days especially when a person is young.
@@PeaceMakerBro what these people do not understand is that they are too stupid to realize that their very first question about "what's your current CTC" and not telling "the CTC being offered and the role they are hiring for" is so so awful. They do not want to accept the issue they have with hiring. And this person who made this video won't even read my comment because he feel godly of himself and he just knows whats the issue. And that is.. "the employee". The employee is the punching bag in every situation.
First of all, which company gives 15% hike to employees who are seniors. 90% HRs lie during recruitment Only irresponsible people attend interviews unprepared
Appreciate your videos. But your videos (not just this video) mostly talk from the perspective of service organizations/consulting. However, some of these parameters might not fully apply to a product based tech company and roles (which are getting increasingly common in India). Just a thought. ✌️
Sir, there is a world outside IT also. And you yourself are from consulting background. Please make some videos about other industries also, comparing them with IT. For example Law and Finance industries, where the individuals are valued because of their network of clients and these individuals don’t loose there relevance with time. In fact they only gain value with time. A new fresher lawyer can never compete with a lawyer with 15 years of good reputation built. But in case of IT a fresher software engineer who is highly talented can easily challenge a 15 years experienced software developer on a technology which arrived just 2 years back for example. In this case even if the experienced came out to be a bit more efficient the thing is will company spend 5X more for him when a similar resource at 1/5th price is available?
I’m a recent graduate engineer from a premier institute of New Delhi. I hate the idea of dealing skills with money. Your skill may be relevant today but not tomorrow. It’s very volatile. You are not building anything. Selling your network which is slowly built but ever growing and building a reputation in market for goodwill will always be more valuable. It’s in real terms a career. because when I think of career, what comes to my mind is a long term progressive and stable thing.
You are doing more harm experimenting on stuffs it becomes a habit and you wont be able to settle on one descision cause almost everything has equal opportunities to make up your passion ladder and also hatred ladder , there is no passion , the amount of work you spend on something becomes your passion so better to look for what you are already good at (being doing since childhood subcounsciously) even if its something very small for example like "how to walk straight" not many people can even with two legs, you can make a lot of money providing your fair share of advice and investions in it
