- Four years ago today, I uploaded my very first Danmakufu video. Several scripts and one engine switch later, I thought I'd commemorate the anniversary with a little blast from the past!

I recommend using this Reimu player (www.bulletforge..., as the script was balanced around it. However, you should be fine with most other characters--just know that some spells may take longer or shorter than usual as a result.
I was going to put all my spellcard commentary in the description here, since it's hard to put annotations on a fullscreen Danmakufu video without covering up too much, but it ended up being too long. D'ya know what I like most about this?
All of the spells she uses (or at least the recollection spells) are slightly easier than the originals.
This is utterly beautiful, as canonically Satori cannot use other people's spells at full strength as she lacks their unique abilities, so uses slightly dumbed-down versions.
It's beautiful AND canonically accurate, what is this masterwork?
Also, I like how ALL of the spells were greatly enhanced from the originals, being made much better to behold.
Simply put, it's amazing.
kjhbyghfdjff This is so beyond marvelous; that shrine maiden has no taste. Your ability to have such great concepts and then continue to improve upon them exponentially is constantly overwhelming. This is the best kind of fourth-wall breaking, for laughs as well as for a solid excuse to do incredibly creative things. So many spells are super super visually stunning, and THAT FESTIVAL IS THE GRANDEST FINALE EVER.

I was praying for kaguya's "help me Erin!" Spell. Why man, just why would you leave it out?
I think it would be better if you used Shinmyoumaru's ULiL winpose sprite for Kaguya's Rainbow Rave spellcard. The one that she dances. XD
jsmdg257 I would've loved to, but there are no sprite rips for ULiL that I know of at this time. Maybe next time! (I was actually considering making a small update once ULiL rips are released, so I can put in Shinmyoumaru, Kasen, and Sumireko. As awesome as Kirbio's sprites for Kasen and Sumireko are, they look out of place compared to all the other ZUN sprites)

This is simply amazing. I'm overwhelmed and slightly envious of your creativity, your capabilities, your skill and your rainbows. Allow me to dump my opinions on this script here.
I love how you recycled your old scripts, yet gave all of them a new twist so they aren't just ports from 0.12m, but more like...remixes. And of course, Rainbow Rave had to be in there. XD
In terms of design, beauty and whatnot I especially liked "Siege of Earth and Heaven" and "Precious Hourai Gem" (so pretty). The final spell is just fabulous, I kind of expected something like that to happen.
And finally...I have to say Satori's cutin creeps me out.
ParadoxPython Thank you~ And yeah, just straight-up porting the old spells would've been boring, especially since there were so many changes I wanted to make with my newfound skills, both for balancing and to make the spell itself more interesting.
And bwahaha, thanks~ My friend said they were going for a "spoopy" feel with this drawing, and I'm glad to hear it worked out.
I've just watched this entire script, and...it's amazing.
The effects, the spells, the memories, it's beautiful.

@@TheRealFraston The dark-aura spirits? Though seeing fire globes in ZUN Hates Your Guts (remember Saki's eighth spell?) would be even worse...
I love the wider viewpoint and aspect of some of these scripts. I feel like it gives the patterns a little bit more wiggling room to shine.

I'm really blasted by this golden script. Absolutely marvelous.
I really like the way you've revised the spells you've used in your older scripts, particularly Kaguya's Rainbow Rave and ZUN's ZUN Hates your gut, but also all of Yukari's spells are just... wow.
Epic special effects as always.

2:16 The spell background is supposed to disappear after you've beaten a spell.
+BraviJNEP Since I had no nonspells, I felt it would've been unnecessary to make the spell background disappear during consecutive spell cards by the same boss. I only made the background disappear when Satori was switching to a different boss.

Yukari's third spell is kinda like Utsuho's fourth spell in SA, yes.

I really like Satori's original spell and nonspell. Very different from the SA nonspells, but works for Satori.

I can't say I was originally expecting the ZUN fight to be featured, but I like how you balanced it. I still kinda want a serious ZUN fight, but I guess Touhoupachi has one too :V

***** Her nonspell and first spell were intended to be callbacks to her original nonspell and first spell (Terrifying Hypnotism). I wanted to keep the general feel for them while making the pattern itself new. I'm glad you liked them!

It's a best of, I see. Why not adding some annotations ? For that Rainbow Rave spell, I'd call it "Rainbow Rave at the Komeiji's". x)
Too bad there weren't Okuu from Praise the Sun, nor Eirin.
Braviaggron I didn't add annotations because there wasn't really anywhere I could add them that wouldn't obscure some of the action since the script is fullscreen. Check in the description, I have a link to a pastebin document where I put all my would-be annotations.

0:50 UA-cam went to black at this point, so I was annoyed for a second but realised it was probably part of the spelllcard, but it legitimately crashed because updates
Wait, Did you get inspiration from Len'en when you made the first spell card. I ask because Third Eye "Gaze into the Heart" looks almost the same as Bird's Eye "Pitch-black Eye" from Len'en 1: Extravagant Existence. The difference is what happens with the Eye, Yours stays with Satori in the middle while Jynx has the eye in one spot with black bullets covering it, and then the eye closes, and then it opens in a new location.
One mad guy indeed.

+AJS I'm guessing it's a similar situation with the sound sepher 'Satori maiden' remix. I've looked around for that thing on numerous occasions to no avail (I've checked literally EVERYWHERE for it and found nothing.) If, by some miracle, you do have a link for that thing, would you be able to share it with us? :)
(Also, I am aware this comment is 3/4 of a year old, I'm just using this comment as an easy way to get the message through. (+1 ironic laziness moment))
You should have waited until TH15's full version's out, because, now in the ZUN hates your guts spell, Sagume, Clownpiece, Junko and Hecatia are missing. =/
+BraviJNEP I would have waited, but I made this script specifically to be released on the four-year anniversary of my first Danmakufu script. Maybe next time ^^

Ah, and you should've added the survival warning for that spell too.
Player shooting is disabled for the final spell, so I felt the survival warning would've been overkill. Also, that background is actually from the fangame Uwabami Breakers, in which you fight bar staff as a drunkard (ZUN himself even contributed to the game). Because of that, I felt it would be the most fitting background for fighting ZUN.

In the case you haven't noticed it, Cirno has a new mini sprite in TH14, you could put it instead of her TH9.
And I also wonder why there isn't Unzan, he doesn't seem to be with Ichirin, so it's herself who shoots the fists ?

i have a few broken/OP player scripts and here are a few funny things that happened
1: the spell of 4 directions had the sprite buged and stayed on the screen for the rest of the game
2: i skiped the survival spell of kaguya from a OP bomb
3: hit the bomb durning a cutseen, crashed danmakufu XD

+minaly22 I'm a bit wary about that because the Japanese tend to be pretty strict about following ZUN's guidelines of not using his assets in fangames. In the Western fanbase, the danmakufu community's fairly lenient about it so long as you're not charging money for it. But in the Eastern fanbase, if you make something with ZUN's sprites/graphics/sound effects *AND* provide a download link, they'll get up in arms about it. That's why you see stuff like the All-Star Danmaku Medley not having download links. There was actually an infamous incident several years ago where Helepolis, a prominent scripter in our community, uploaded one of his scripts to NicoNicoDouga, and the users there got upset over it.

Maybe I should attempt to learn ph3 instead of shitting around with v0.12m and not understanding why the wait function I totally didn't steal from your old scripts is only lasting half as long as it should unless I'm holding Skip for some reason

***** Bear in mind that the wait function counts FRAMES, not seconds. Danmakufu runs at 60 frames per second, so if you put "wait(60)", you're telling the script to wait one second. "wait(30)" is half a second, "wait(120)" is two seconds, and so on
AJS I know.
But for some reason when I type, for example, "wait(60);", it'll only wait half a second, i.e. 30 frames.
Unless I'm holding the Space key, in which case it'll wait the proper 60 frames.
The really weird part is that shit will keep going while the boss is exploding, _except at the normal speed_ (although that particular part is pretty easily fixed).
I have absolutely no idea what the fuck I could possibly be doing wrong.

can you please help me ? i'm kind of a noob at downloading stuff , i downloaded danmakufu (version ph3 .1pre6a ) and the script , is there something i have to do now to play ? (sorry for bad english )
Eduardo de Araújo Put the folder for the script in the "scripts" folder, then download this player script and put it in a folder titled "player" inside the "scripts" folder. Then start the game ("th_dnh.exe"), go to Directory, and find the title of my script. Then select your difficulty, choose your player, and go!

can you help me again ? i placed the script folder (from the resource ) on the other script folder . and put the script (the game ) on the script folder . when i go on directory , it appears a "script" but when i go on there , its just appears on the top script/script/ and the background of the program . did i do something wrong or its a glitch ? Eduardo de Araújo Let me break it down step by step just to make sure there isn't any confusion. First, follow the link and download the script. Open the .zip file, and you should see a folder named "Recollection of Scripter's Past" and "README.txt". Now, open up your Danmakufu ph3 folder and open the "script" folder. Drag the "Recollection of Scripter's Past" folder into the "script" folder here. You do not need to do anything else at this point, the script is now installed. If you don't have any player characters, download a player character from BulletForge, and drag the entire folder into a folder INSIDE the "script" folder called "player".
Now you're ready to play! Start up Danmakufu and go to Directory, and find "Recollection of Scripter's Past" on the list. Now you should see three blue titles for the script on three separate difficulties. Pick the one you want, pick your player, and you're good to go.

I'm kinda new to Danmakufu, and I can't figure out how to get the script running. I put the file in 'script' and look through 'plural' once the game is up, and then I get an error message. I know it's kinda lame to ask for help in a comment's section of a UA-cam video but... help? ;^;
+Youkai Jesus Make sure you have the most recent version of Danmakufu (www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Oakland/9951/pre/th_dnh_ph3.zip), that sounds like it may be your issue.

Hmm... That's saying it can't find the default system file, but I know for a fact it's included in the download. Whatcha gotta do is, when you download the script, there should be a single folder inside with the title. Drag that entire folder into the "script" folder of danmakufu, and then run it.
