Emerald, Queensland - 4K Ambient Walk

- This walking tour takes place in Emerald, Queensland, a small town that has been around since 1879 and it has a population under 15,000.
Prior to 1879, the Gayiri people occupied the area for many thousands of years.
Emerald is only small, so as far as 4K walking tours go this is not a particularly long 4K walk, but it does provide sights of some heritage listed buildings, including the train station which is right in the heart of the town.
There's a few pubs, and some quaint old architecture.
When I did this 4K walking tour, it was 38 degrees, celsius - really hot and dry!
Hope you enjoy this 4K glimpse of Emerald.
About 10 years ago, I lived there as a working holiday visa owner.
When I lived there, I lived down Gregory Highway, and I lived in a large grape farm, and I often went around the village to shop
And I used to admire, appreciate, and be happy every moment of every day when I saw and felt the atmosphere of emerald village.
When I walked around the village, the residents I encountered were very kind
especially, beautiful women used to respond with a pleasant smile to me
I don't know why, but they all adored me
grandfather, who used to work on a farm , used to look at me and said, "You're like a representative of a baby." at that time i didn't reconise what he said
anyway i felt their kindness(guess that warmness they have comes from peace and calmness)
In addition, the maraboon lake, where we can seek at the edge of emerald city, was a place of rest for me.
Since returning to Korea from Australia, I am more fascinated by the advanced urban civilization than before, The convenience and affluence of modernized cities keep me falling in city life.
But in the back of my mind I still miss the calmness of that time, and emerald town feels so surreal that it comes into my mind like a dream, like idea, like a place of imagination.

The East Asian countries are highly civilized, just like major cities in the United States.
Australia where the natural environment is at its peak, is so different in their characteristics.
I miss woolworth and coles.
And bank anz and bank nab.
occasionally, The woolworth market in cordenwarra RD , around surrounding landscape really comes out in my dreams with twinkling background, and the bright sunshine pouring down warmly.
I wish residents of the village to know, how much they live in a beautiful place.
people who have left there truly misses there.
I used to work in Blackwater and everytime I want to shop for clothes and stuff I drive here in Emerald. I haved lived in different countries but Australia is the best country ever. Thanks for sharing mate. Watching from Chiba, Japan. 🇯🇵

I used to live in there to work at grape farm. Your video bring that time back.

I think not that much changed. I used to enjoy to have KFC on every Tuesday with discounting price. Is it still going?

Nice city, lived there for 3 months in 1997 while working for Berval Engeneering. Glad to see that the Subway, Red Rooster and the model shop is still there. Great memories 🙂
Miss this place. Grew up here. Now stuck in a different state ravged by covid lockdowns. Bring back the old days. Cant wait to bring my kids here to show em where dad grew up

Worked at the Sushi shop next to Coles there for 6 months before the pandemic. Lovely place and Everyone is so nice. Miss this place .
I was in Emerald briefly yesterday. on my way to Longreach. It was great to be back almost a year to the day. It is lovely and the people are definitely friendly.

The wonderful town where The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz lived once.😊. 03:17 on the building can be seen the year of issue of the book (1900)😊. It is not so easy to film so many different towns but the result is great. Thank you. 👍👍👍
