My husband and I loved turkey. We were there in July for two weeks. So beautiful and the people are just amazing. We loved them. The Turkish people love everyone and it brings tears to my eyes. As England really is not like that anymore which is sad. People here in England are hard hearted and just introverted. Horrible basically. I would love to just be in Turkey all the time. My. Friend lives in Turkey and has done for twelve years and she has had a new house built now in koycegiz. She has view of the mountains and the lake. Beautiful. I am envious of her. I really am
I am so glad that you guys had a good time. For me it feels like its one 1 big family here in Turkey, everyone really looks after everyone and are super social people , unfortunately back home it is the opposite. Back home a lot of trust in each other has been lost and it is a shame as the UK is such a beautiful place. I have been living here for two years and it was a huge decision but the right one. Hopefully you guys can come over and live permanently too.
@@wasonworld yea that would be nice. Is it hard to get in to living there now tho. Have the government there made it a little harder for people now. And if so what is it they want or need from people to be able to live there
@@lionofjudah4114 Not as hard as you think, depending on the work that you are willing to do, for instance , hotel chains will often hire English speaking and also the airport. Also their is quite a lot of online work, residency is quite straight forward contrary to much belief, I was told that you need to own a property but I have friends that are just renting and have no issue getting residencies.
Wow that orange shirt looked great on you,I hope you bought it.Not a fan of Fethiye market, too big and hot. It's the only place in Turkey I was ever ripped off but noticed before I parted with money.
Thanks so much Wendy, I regret not buying it, in the end went for a pink one which was a bit to big for me ! So sorry to hear that you were ripped off, it has happened to me in the past in Turkey especially if I don't find out the price first. Is their any other markets that you can recommend? Thank so much for watching .
Hi. Yes we nearly got very ripped off at the grand bizzarre there in Fetiye. It was from a woman on the dried fruits and spice stall. She thought we were born yesterday. How rude. She was Asian woman. Puts the Turkish people to game that does her behaviour trying to con the British people. When u go to her stall just after the cafe there on the left and she on the right tell her u only Habe ten Turkish lira see what she does and tell her you want some dried fruit or something. She needs people conning her. And teach her a lesson. Rude woman.
Yes this is a problem here in Turkey, foreigners are sometimes scammed as we are the right side of the currency exchange, I have negotiated a piece of jewellery down from 100 lira to ten before. Next time I am in Fethiye I will look out for her for sure.
@@wasonworld yes we came in from crossing over from the marina there as we walked it along.. then we saw the sign for the old town so we went and we were entering the market then indoor one . So as we walked in to the left as a cafe and we walked a few steps and he was there on the right. We just wanted some dried mango and she was wanting us to get more.. then I think she altered the weighing aces when she went to place them on s he was pressing some buttons and I know it didn't weigh what she said it weighed. We said no take it all out the bag that is too much. Then he was trying to say she would give u a present of a box of turkish delight but she was trying to add on more for the dried fruit. I saw right through her straight away. Con woman she is. She need all English people telling her they only have ten lira and want to of dried fruit. And tell her to let them have it for ten lira. We didn't like that from her. I am a Yorkshire lass so I know when someone is conning us. Discernment is good with these kind of people.
