Well that is kinda to be expected unless best comedy writers writes your daily conversations and cut out the 95% or more sentences that are not that funny or interesting at all because life on the most part is not comedy gold at all.
The best way to improve your chances is to be a girl like Pam or a guy like Jim. Forget the fake statistics, the right person is out there. You just have to develop a personality first.
thepredator1988 Absolutely they are fictional 'ideals', and the show is written to heighten the romance and personalities of the two, so I'd start with the understanding that when we're talking about real life, the people would be reminiscent of the characters rather than 'copies' of them. I think maybe the reason you have these preconceptions is that you haven't interacted with the right people, or you've not interacted with these people in a charismatic way. Sure there are people who have alterior motives, but with a half decent sense of emotional intelligence, it's not too difficult to weed those people out. Generalisations are the worst, you can find decent people in every culture.
thepredator1988 I'm glad you're not a fan of whorism. I don't think many people would consider it a good quality. Not sure what you mean by it being a way of American life. It sounds like you're only supporting your argument through personal anecdote. I don't think your job or workplace has much to do with this argument at all. Rather I think it shows that you equate financial and occupational success with the quality of personality, which I think is totally misguided. You need to look at what you're saying. If you believe every woman in America a is a whore and treat them as such, the good people are not going to be interested in you, instead they'd most likely be disgusted by you.
Normally romance on television is ho-hum, overly simplified, or unrealistically complicated. By the nth season of miscommunication and betrayal I'm usually tired of the main straight couple destined to be endgame. But Jim and Pam... soul mates. It was obvious from day one but the slow burn was oh so sweet. Worth the wait, painfully enjoyed every second.
its the best friendship(friendzone) achieved into love because their connection grew and due to life's choice Jim finally decided to act on it and then he valued it because he knew the struggle of not having her.

The Dwight pranks were good but some of the moments with Jim x Pam were full of tension and it was to early for that. For example, the scene where Pam says that Jim’s not stuck
The "yes boss" scene is from the cocktail episode. Everyone was going to the bar whereas jim went to a corporate party with karen, Michael, wallace etc. Jim and pam were already distant at this time so when Pam jokingly said yes boss , jim thought that she sees him as her boss and less as a friend ( and maybe realised he is turning into a corporate person which he never wanted to be)
at 03:10 Jim: "...then I'd probably wouldn't be stuck here". Pam: "You're not stuck". Jim: *smiles* Love it, but understand why they cut it out. A little too openly interested in each other to keep the tension another season.
@@burrito8479 It shows that Pam truly believes that if Jim applied himself and tried for a different position or a different job, he'd get it. Jim complains about being 'stuck', but really he chooses to remain at his current job because it's the only way he gets to spend some time with Pam and even though neither of them will admit it, they both know it to be true.

I am surprised no one gets the yes boss thing. The scene was where Jim and Karen were leaving for New York for the interview. Jim said wait until we get to the parking lot till you go to the bar, as in wait till we go until you drown yourself in alcohol with the sadness of me leaving. He meant it as a joke but she actually said yes and confirmed it. And hence they both are looking each other like that. It's not about her saying boss, it's about her saying yes.
@@apoorvagodbole4511 It is the cocktails episode where Jim, Karen and Michael go to David Wallace's party while the rest of the office staff goes to the bar. So the wallet prank was not a prank at all then? They just put everything like it was and made him freak out about what could they had possibly done so he started cancelling all his cards?
Yes. Pam knew that Dwight had been conditioned to constantly expect pranks, due to Jim pulling them on him all the time. She knew that Dwight would expect to be pranked again, so the best prank they could pull on him was not to pull one at all and watch as he shoots himself in the foot. Interestingly, Dwight uses this same tactic against Jim in a later episode with the snowball fights. He conditions Jim into expecting Dwight to take extreme measures for catching Jim offguard with a snowball fight, tricking Jim into developing a severe sense of paranoia, when really Dwight didn't do anything. He just stood by on the sidelines and watched Jim unravel.
It looked to me as if they told him the truth (that they didn't do anything), but put out all the body language and other signs that they were lying (I.e. hesitating before answering, Pam blinking rapidly as she answered) to trick Dwight who is probably knowledgeable about those kinds of things. If so, the scene is brilliant!

Maybe Jim didn't realise that Pam was joking and thought that he accidentally bossed her around like Roy used to do idk that or Jim has a boss/daddy kink and got turned on💀
iirc it's because things were already a bit awkward between them. Karen had been talking about it with either Jim or Pam, I think, briefly, or maybe some other characters had mentioned it to Pam... I don't remember completely, but there was Karen tension, at least.
I think because both of them realise that if he gets the job at corporate, he'll be the boss, as he is interviewing for Jan's position, and that in turn means that they will not be able to see each other again as he'll stay in new york.
