After watching this video, can any parent be sure that their son or daughter will be safe there?
This is a world-class campus... WOW! Years ago, my NGO worked on implementing the Tobacco Control Law at this very campus, aiming to prohibit tobacco smoking. Advocacy was exhausting-while the authorities were supportive, it was the teachers and students who resisted the idea of making it smoke-free. We eventually dropped the idea of pursuing alcohol-free initiatives after that experience. Let the world now see what "goons" are doing to education. Congratulations NTT, for bringing this issue to light! But don't expect Supreme Court to solve every issue. There are ample laws waiting to be implemented and enforced in its true spirit.
Not to mention but there has been two rape incidents occurred in iit bhu and instead of finding the rapists the government have suspended 13 students protesting for the incident. So I prefer red bastion over saffron bastion.
Ah, the glorious irony of it all! In the land of Tagore, Satyajit Ray, and countless other intellectual giants, we now find ourselves in a rather curious predicament. Who could have imagined that the sons and daughters of Bihar, armed with nothing but a sense of entitlement, would descend upon Bengal’s educational institutions, seemingly determined to play the role of the oppressor? Yes, indeed, Bihari students, ever so graceful in their exploitation, have now become the rulers of Bengal’s academic landscape. How grand! Of course, it’s nothing short of poetic justice that Bengal, a land steeped in history, culture, and intellectual prowess, should now find itself at the mercy of these invaders from the north. Why not, after all? What better way to honor our tradition of open-mindedness and education than to allow ourselves to be taken for granted, exploited, and, dare I say it, dominated? But perhaps it is time for a reality check. Bengal, the land that sparked revolutions and intellectual movements, must surely find its spine again. A "well treatment" is long overdue for these guests who’ve overstayed their welcome, don’t you think? Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to remind them that hospitality has its limits, especially when taken advantage of in our own backyard. What a wonderful situation we’ve created here, one that will surely go down in history.

Sir, i object to consumption of alcohol everywhere. I have 2 points to raise
1. Why dont you go to any other institution and try to find the opposite thing, whether in or outside india? Oh i am sorry u wont be allowed inside the campus of other colleges unlike ju without the permission of the authority?! Why dont you make a story against the presence of pub in the World's best universities?
2. Pls be careful to forth the points of the common students as well. U had taken the interview of a student justifying the absence of cctv but did u not find a single one who alligns with installation of cctv.
Pls stop maligning ju.
R G Kar's protest is a product of Jadavpur's liberal culture !! Analyse the facts and history. Your report should cover the deep-down ultra-leftism. Try to cover the misconduct of the faculties also !! Don't sensationalise over some beer bottles, a subtle promotion of popular brands!
Thank you NTT

Thank God, I rejected Jadavpur uni and studied in Mumbai uni. Mumbai uni was far better and proud to be alma mater of a uni where my seniors were Kapoor and Bachchan. This is a shame. Mamta resign. #JusticeforAbhaya #EqualRights #Shame
Alcohol ekhon shob jaygaye khaowa hoy. Even ordinary middle class people have a bottle of beer quite frequently. Your outrage is legitimate , but a bit over the top. How many universities will the CJI stop from consuming it? And it's nothing new either.
Ragging is the greater evil really. That has to stop. And I'm a 60 yr old woman writing this.
Madam u r missing the greater point that a reputed University like jadavpur isn't focussing to prevent these gundaraj culture and also not taking any precautions to ensure its own student's safety, even after all of these incidents throughout the years and yes cji can't do these all we have to raise our voice to ensure the safety of our student's

Go and check the engineering department of JU because of these arts/farts dept our placements is declining year after year. From a JU EE student.
These students are influencing other the core dept students to be like them.Faltu lokjon.
Na but why do you think the culture of drinking comes mainly from arts? Eta toh odbhut allegation. Even in the incident that happened it was perpetrators from Engineering harassing a student from arts. Same with Swapnadeep. Now, ju has incredibly meritorious engineering students and many in the arts faculty too were implicated in ragging. But to imply that the culture of drinking and ragging comes from arts is not supported by the actual historical record of events at ju.

Communists will never learn to behave. Every university they have student union, it is reckless behaviour. I blame current state Government to be spineless to take actions especially against the goons from different state who are the loudest.
Personally, I spent a long time in the campus, a lot Biharis (South Indians students whereas behave so nice and respectfully) need to learn to behave in a different state, mostly they are from engineering faculty and lead the threat against others.

Maybe also report about how JU doesn't get much grants. Neither from state government nor from central government.
Go to other colleges as well, why single out a single university? And you were talking about CCTV cameras, despite there being CCTV cameras in RG Kar, the state police force was unable to catch the guilty.
And at least the students there are remembering the victim of ragging. Maybe also do a report on the progress of that case, where are the guilty, what their political allegiances were.
Do you all dare question the government, or are you all good at only generalizing a whole bunch of students studying in JU?
Why single out JU? Because a 17yr old was ragged to death there.
@@tapojitaNo one of us is denying that and are ashamed to the core. But alcohol bottles do not promote ragging culture, lack of sensitivity does. If something needs to be done, that is to build a sensitized campus. NTT's TRP seeking coverage won't help it. Thanks.
@sohamroy7741 what about the student who has been beaten up. What exactly is the problem if CCTV cameras are installed?
@@tapojita maybe they should also go to RG Kar where an on duty doctor was subjected to horrifying torture, where the whole state machinery was involved in removing evidences.
Why not go to colleges where goons collect money to get people admitted to the colleges. Maybe the guy should have delved deeper into investigating who the people were who were threatening the first guy, instead of roaming the campus aimlessly.
@@tapojita Then don't argue if people generalise the colleges run by the goons of the ruling party promoting threat culture and extorting money. And maybe ask this reporter to do some background check on those who were accused and the progress of the case.
