When I saw the length was 1:01:15:22 it took me a moment to realise this video is *a day* long.
As a movie it's good. As a story to what *really* happened it's your average Hollywood nonsense which changed a lot of things. The real Ken Miles broke as many cars as he won with and the movie conveniently ignores to tell how Dan Gurney was easily leading the race (NOT Bandini in the Ferrari) with 3 hours to go and had to retire. It was Gurney NOT Miles who had the fastest lap in the race too. At least he came back in 1967 and dominated the race. Gurney is one of the very few to have won races in Formula 1, Indycar and Nascar (only 3 drivers actually, the other two being Mario Andretti and Juan-Pablo Montoya), and he also won in Can-Am, Trans-Am, USAC and Sportscar racing. The real Ken Miles took part in the 1965 LeMans and both him and Ford were humiliated by Ferrari. Btw, he wasn't the fastest GT40 in the 1965 LeMans either, that was Phil Hill (had won LeMans 3 times before this race btw) and Chris Amon (who won in 1966 with Bruce McLaren). The movie also omitted the part of John Wyer engineering and their crucial development of the Ford GT40 without which Shelby wouldn't have f*ck all to work with in the first place. The only thing Shelby did was to develop the 7 liter version since they couldn't outrun the Ferrari on straight line speed alone. Considering that the Ferrari 330P4 they were up against only had a 4 liter engine (almost half the displacement) it's actually a testimony to how good *Ferrari* were. A tiny company competing with a giant like Ford. The best LeMans racing movie is "LeMans" (1970) with Steve McQueen. And Steve McQueen actually drove in the REAL race unlike Christian Bale. That was Porsche vs Ferrari btw. The legendary 917 (widely seen as the best endurance racing car ever made, especially since the 1971 distance record at LeMans lasted for 39 long years until finally beaten in 2010). Oh, and if a movie claims that a guy drove his tank from Normandie to Berlin(!) you can ignored everything else in it - especially since the Soviets surrounded Berlin in 1945 and the only way Miles would have seen Berlin would have been in the 1946 victory parade. Hollywood movies are fictional and want to tell a "good story". Too bad too many ignoramuses believe the movie portrays what actually happened. BS.
I love Karun as a commentator! I swear it's not his accent either. His voice is very clear and easy to listen to, and he is enthusiastic without going nutz like Haven or Hindy (both of whom I like). BTW, this is the 1st sports car race I ever watched, only 4 months ago. Since then I have watched 5 Le Mans, 5 Rolex 24s, 2 24 h Nurburgrings, 2 full seasons of WEC, and at least 2 full seasons of IMSA. Now I'm doing the reruns. (Edit: This finish is such a nail-biter, and it wasn't any easier to watch the 2nd time!)
I’m not really all that interested in motorsport, but I really enjoyed this anyway because it’s fun to listen to the commentators slowly getting more and more delirious as the race goes on.

BS.
I felt the movie "The Art of Racing in the Rain" to be more good
Ah man the sound of these wec cars are awesome! They sounded also really good In his video!
Incredible effort to upload this whole entire race.
25 hours total full race video, thank you.
Ten seconds into the race and someone already spun out.
My sound is perfect, and the resolution is good too.
25 hours !
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be able to do a lot of "catching up".
Just getting to the end of this race is a victory in itself. Winning is truly extraordinary.

(Edit: This finish is such a nail-biter, and it wasn't any easier to watch the 2nd time!)

doctor: you have 25 hours to live, what are your plans for that time.
me:
thanks man i was searching for a complete le mans race for many months!
I’m not really all that interested in motorsport, but I really enjoyed this anyway because it’s fun to listen to the commentators slowly getting more and more delirious as the race goes on.
Que competição incrível.
Thank you le mans and indy 500 for the full races!
Your turn F1
They have full races on their channel. So does nascar.
@@ALX65 fair enough mate all I could see was highlights and best of radio etc my bad. Still, it's awesome we can watch full races and appreciate other motorsports :)

Beautiful 24 hours of Le Mans
Thaanks for this upload!!. Great quality
I love that I'm discovering this channel during quarantine 2020 -- thanks for sharing!
These commentators sometimes have no idea what’s happening and still do a fantastic job. They laugh, they joke, it’s really another spectacle-besides the race.
Can confirm
Gonna binge the whole series
