So many dota, C.S go, halo and tekken players went to waste in Pakistan just because of lack of exposure. I went to a gym where some dudes used to play dota and they used to work full job and played dota every night. Once I asked them about it and they said they used to play dota for like 8 years when they were students, they won many local tournaments at internet cafe's to which many Pakistani gamers can relate to. All we needed was exposure and now I'm seeing signs of them. With Mtn dew's gamers arena and many other events locally, InshAllah gaming scene will rise and internationally aswell one day.
lol, this was me with Fifa. During my 4 years at uni in Islamabad, I played over 25 tournaments (in most of these there were players from different cities, even peshawar and balochistan), won a few, few runner ups and never finished outside top 4. I didn't even know I could have marketed myself then. Now I play some tekken cuz of Arslan Ash but the talent for gaming I had in my teenage years that could have been cultivated would never come back. All because our culture looks down on it.

Sumail is mature right now that's why he's a trait to other players, he have less ego now, he's ready to learn and to improve to become Top 1
Sumail's skill is in 1v1 match ups. When he switched to the offlane it was due to a heavy roamer meta that prevented him from being able to treat mid like a pure 1v1. It took another meta shift for him to come back to the midlane. Either Bowie or Alchemy did a good video on his style of aggressive mid play if you want to learn from him. Also a number of pros have said that for a mid player to be good at their role they NEED to be cocky and think they're better than the opponent or else they won't take the risks that win them the lane.

For anyone wondering; Arslan Ash, THE goddamn Pakistani kid to kick down the door for Pakistan when it came to the Tekken scene.
From a time when literally nobody cared about Pakistan in terms of Tekken, a sleep deprived Arslan busted up a mini Evo tournament (Basically asian Evo) and even beat some HUGE names there.
And recently, he won the big fish. He beat THE best Tekken players to win Evo Tekken Tournament. Possibly the new king of Tekken. Humble guy, works super hard. Had it even harder because he was from Pakistan instead of Korea or the US or elsewhere.

You just can't argue with how good he is at this point. He's absolutely incredible and if you ignore his personality hes got to be top 3 dota players of all time, with a very solid argument for number one. He's still incredibly good right now. Get him another aegis, and he probably takes 1st without question.

@Mark Jones sumail is definitely more of a game changer compared to miracle. Miracle is a stable player but he doesn't have sumail's agression which is the key to him destroying the midlane

I don't even like EG anymore but I still love Sumail, he is one of the best players in dota. I love the TI5 EG squad as they were my fav team at that time. Truly a boss.
The roster now is good too, with positive smile from s4, fly and crit with the old member.

The reality is that Sumail has been sat at a computer during the years when you're supposed to socialize a lot and mature because of it. He's still incredibly immature, I sometimes forget that he's not a 15 year old. And I think that's something he should work on. Because most pros are adults (most are also immature for their age) and people dont like to be around someone who's overly childish. As a player though he's damn incredible.
Plague Doc He's damn incredible in the midlane and offlane. His greediness sometimes just costs EG to lose. But I think he's TI8 run was an improvement as I think Fly helped him control that greediness. Only big mistake I think was when he tossed Artour to OG and that was like game over for them.

Wow, I was there for most of what was covered in this video, but after watching it put together the way you guys did brought in a wave of nostalgia and shiver like I didn't expect.
This video is more about EG's journey since TI5, and that's ok, because Sumail is the only one that's remained the one constant factor. And I wasn't a big fan of his before, even disliked him a little, but I've found a new appreciation for him after your video.

I'll be the first person to tell you I love the cocky player. When you see that player who can talk the talk, and walk the walk. Its nothing better then that, but the problem is when the player who dominated loses sight of what matters the most. They then really lose my respect.

This docu was symbolic in many ways. Especially the OG vs EG fight. Loyality, Friendship and Compassion beat Status, Money and Ego and time. That's the moral of it. You can be cocky about your skills all day long. In the end dota is a teamgame. And even if you deliver, but your teammates won't like your cockiness it decreases the overall output from your team, because the teammates will feel badly around it, hence playing worse. Really nice story in terms of this...Value each other, strive for compassion not money, search true friends, where you can speak up your mind, and see yourself as a part of something bigger, the team, the group, the world etc. and good things will cross your way. I respect Sumail a lot. He broke the stereo typical mould that players from sub continental Asia are not so good compared to western pro Dota players.
He single handedly raised the bar and took it miles further for every mid laner. To me he is like Kobe Bryant of Dota. He always performs out of the this world even in dire pressure moments.

the eg that won ti was so good and overpowered that it makes me wonder why'd they ever even think of changing ur roster. I mean look at og they kept the same roster that won them the first international and lo and behold they won another one the next year

My opinion, Sumail is the best midlaner in dota right now. While there are other great midlanes, Ori, Miracle, NoOne, in a 1v1 Sumail is the best. However, something that Miracle and Ori specifically do better than Sumail is enable their team. Like was said in the video, when RTZ joined EG and relegated Sumail to be the space maker instead of top net worth, EG was out of wack. Sumail needs to learn how to be a better teammate and help enable his whole team instead of just being the one shining hope.
Too often has Sumail won his lane (almost every time) and EG loses. Versus Miracle, who may lose or come up even after the laning phase, creates space for his team, engages in fights and helps enable his team, which results in a win for his team. Same situation with Ori, his timings for when and where he needs to make space are invaluable to his team.
This is not to say Sumail is bad at this aspect of the game, but it is something that once he figures out, god have mercy on the souls who get matched up against him...
Trouble is though EG are always fighting the early game without RTZ. He just stays farming and by the time he comes online and joins the fight the game is pretty much lost. If RTZ joined early fights then went back to farming then EG would absolutely win more games but at the moment they are playing 4-protect-1 style and it is no good.

I think he s the best void player and offlaner, I quit rooting for EG when they kicked him and joined OG ranks because of the cindarella story
God damn. I dont care if nobody reads this. But sumail got me into competitive dota. Back in 2015 i was a 2k loser from the dota 1 era trying to understand whats happening. Then on the dota client, JUST WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO GO TO BED, It was being broadcasted live, sumail's storm regen bullshit play. I was hooked. Competitive dota was on another level, but sumail was thinking something else. That was my introduction to esports and ever since, ive been an EG fan. Truth be told, i still support the old ti5 squad, regardless if fear's retired, ppd's in an EU team, aui is coaching and my favorite offlaner universe got kicked, none of that matters. As long as sumail's in EG, I support that team, all the while supporting uni and ppd. but this kid surprised me, me being 22 years old doing my thesis and this KID wrecking everyone and wining millions of dollars in the process? God damn that was insane. And me being old now I can't say enough, but damn. Im glad being a dota2 fan from 2015 til the present. And Im glad sumail's still abnormally KING. not only of the midlane, but everyone.

Woah woah. You lost me there buddy "arguably single greatest dota player of all time". A very very BIG thing to say for any athlete in any form of sport. In every game and in every era of it there are always few top players and all of them consider to be the best and not mention in there "SPECIFICALLY" area of the particular sport. For example Usain bolt a LEGEND overall but a APAX-Predator in 100 meters. As for dota their are various role carry support tank etc. So have to be best in all is near to impossible. PPl call him best mid laner fine every one have there opinion but don't title him as one of the best of all time in every aspect. The one and only match i saw of him in mid lane which my friend showed me on youtube (don't remm abt the video title was way back when he won big price money on some south asia tourney). He got storm spirit VS SF and with help of a ganker they killed him 5 times in first 5 lvls. But his team support of enigma and one another AOE ulti hero turn the tides for him in that match. Just to show that you can't casually give the "TITLE" of all time best so easily. Before any one start bashing me note this that i am also from Pakistan and it makes me very happy that through his gaming now more ppl know about the talent of Pakistan(though not from his attitude) XD.
They should recruit a good offlaner
