I see your point, but there are plenty of bands that have been around much longer, that still crush crowds. Slipknot comes to mind as an example. PM5k should just take it easy and wrap it up. To your question on olympians; they retire fairly quick, so that is a poor comparison.

I'm sorry. I love PM5K. I made a road trip from Chicago to Indianapolis to see them two shows in a row back in the day. That said, man, this was sad to watch. Made me feel old. Could have been an off night, sure, but holy shit man.

His singing isn't that bad here, I mean it was never that great IMO but it works.
For those complaining:
1) go listen to their live performances in the late 90's/early 2000's, they are not sounding that far from this.
2) anyone who sings during 1h30 or more knows that the voice just goes away, especially if you sing with a rough voice like him.
3) people get old and the voice is heavily affected.

During live performances this is getting much more common, the lead singers point the microphone to the crowd for practically half of the songs so they can be in on it. It's like I am here to listen to the band lol
They do that for the public interact with they, and show that they aren't doing playback
He does it because he can't actually sing that part, except for once in the studio.

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone complaining about the singing. This is a trend that's really disturbing to me, 90% of all musical acts, and artists today, do not sound good live. There's no excuse really, I will be 50 this December, and Im better now on guitar, and vocally than I've ever been in my life. Its just lack of giving a F%$# or no talent to begin with thats the problem. For the price of admission, you should get a quality performance!!!!!
