Am watching it now 3022. Our ancestors had a nice taste of music indeed.
This song reminds me of my second-uncle who was imprisoned in the year 2005 for false allegations. Since then, it's barely 15 years now my uncle rotting in Kamiti Maximum prison in Kenya. He was detained while I was stepping in the upper primary school classes, std 4 and now am a grown man ready to settle for marriage. Prison tales. Prison is another hell in the world. Anyone who takes you to prison is a sorcerer. When you get out, marry her daughter as a pay back. Thanks to HE. Uhuru Kenyatta for announcing the presidential pardon. I'll meet my uncle this year 2020. Tears 😭
really sad
Pole! I hate where the justice system is rotten
God knows, and the tears of the righteous never go uncomforted by the Lord.
God is great
God is full of grace & may GOD bless HE Uhuru I feel for you my brother
I noticed that nobody ever appreciates the instrumentalists, they play almost if not the same role with the artist, please let's also appreciate the men who played the intro
In particular that Intro solo guitar. Perfect
And the rhythm?@@OdhiamboK

This songs hit on a different level. UA-cam is a time machine, Imagine 1000 yrs your generations will come here for this song. I hope an asteroid will not hit earth 🌍 by then.
When music was still music, when people were singing for passion, they sang songs that were equally emotional and well understood by all ages.
true
You spoke my mind
Fact
Very emotional
Exactly, music was sang to send message nowadays music industry is a business centre for artists to attract money and fame. A useless industry.
Team 2024 oyee this song reminds me of my old childhood i wish technology was not invented😢 maisha ilikuwa tamu bila strungles😢

Here we are🎉
2024 like tukisonga
I just watched this hauntingly sad song/video about an hour ago on "Roga Roga", Fred Obachi Machoka's Saturday afternoon show on Citizen TV (Kenya). I know the song for decades but today along with the video it really really shook me, especially as I locked myself in my own needless, self-made, mental prison.
Let us be grateful for freedom. That ageing man could have been me slaving away behind those prison bars at 54 yrs old, singing those sad lyrics and with the weight of a world of relatives and friends - and worst of all, my children. I am free. Thank You Lord God Almighty, for freedom. Please keep me in Your Power, Wisdom, Courage, Knowledge and all else that I need, to stay free and not misuse my freedom.
I request You this on this last day of 2022, for me and on behalf of all who may desire the same, in The Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
This called gold......to generation to come these were legends. When you read this comment in 2090 kind don't let this music to die play it at full volume..

😭😭😭😭😭why am I crying??My bro spent 7 months in remand for false accusations by then I was in class 6 😭😭I could kneel down at 0300hrs daily to pray he get released,, finally God heard prayers and on the 8th month he was released under sec 215,, prison is not a place to be.
Praise God 🙏
Muema brothers from Kaveta near Kitui town, you guys brought Kitui into international limelight with this evergreen smatcher....The late Billy Ngala Mwendwa playing Conga, Samburu Muinde on drums, Mahatima Mwendwa Malonza the band jester

😪😪😪😪 22/10/23
I remember listening to 3 prisoners singing this song few months after passout in my first station as a Prisons Officer.
2 of them were playing guitars and one was doing a solo with sweet melodious voice! One could imagine they were the composers. I was moved by the music but nilikaa ngumu kiaskari...sikutoa machozi mbele yao hahahaha
walai with my heart I would have cried walai
Before music lost its actual meaning.... What a nice song of our lives
Praying that my brother gets released from prison this year in a foreign land. 13 years is too long to be behind bars. God knows it was in self defense.
He will trust almighty
Who is here with me,I swear this song really calms down my soul whenever am down.....thumb 👍

Pole bro man God be with you everyday❤
The guitars in this composition are legendary. What a great rhythm.
It's 2024, 4 minutes to 2025. Next year, at a time like this, I will be back to mark the register. I wish you all a happy, prosperous 2025 filled with divine protection in all that you do. God bless you all.
Nostalgia... It reminds me of the good old days when KBC was the only radio station, parents were working hard to sustain the family, neighbors were true neighbours, schools were miles away, Christmas was a big day, uncles and aunties were a treasure, houses had wooden doors and yet we slept without fear, I was just a child. Happy new year 2025. 2nd January 2025. Love you all.
The Luos said 'He who takes you to prison is a sorcerer. If you get out, marry his daughter'. This brings old memories.
Sure
