Hi Richard, doing a lovely job there as usual, I recently sorted some nice replacement displays for the Midland 3001, 4001 Maxcom etc, ive also made a bunch of replacement Display circuit boards for them as well, let me know if you ever need any, looking forward to part-3.
They were the ones sold (in the Uk) by Tandy's back in the 80's. "Color TV alignment kit". I also found an Amerian website still selling them. They do bit & pieces for video arcade game restoration & I bought a couple from them. Just looked them up for you..."Arcade Parts & Repair". They call this set "Television / Width Coil Alignment and Adjustment Tool Set (6 Piece Set) $20.00" I then paid $17.99 post, so not cheap...but vital. Richard, G0OJF, UK
Was good that you managed to find a core and the set is now aligned and ready in pt2.
