Collingwood appointing Craig McRae has been a cultural reset. Not just for the club, but for the game. It’s so fitting they won, and they deserved it. They were the better team. They’ve shown so much class on and off the field. Humble in victory.

My father whose nearly 85 was a trainer for Collingwood in the 80's. He's incredibly unwell at the moment and got to see what maybe is his last Premiership by Collingwood from his hospital bed. Thank you Collingwood Football Club, you made his day. And mine!

@@Hehawtyragu Your right, it was the umpires that won Collingwood the game, not the fact that Collingwood had 9 more scoring shots than Brisbane, and wasted our chances with 18 behinds, or had 14 more inside 50s than Brisbane. Or the fact that Collingwood's Markov copped a horrendous 50m penalty from the umpires that resulted in a Brisbane goal. It was the Umpires that somehow, someway, made Collingwood win.

The best thing about the GF was watching veterans like Pendles, Sidebottom, Howe, Mitchell, win an ever deserving flag for their many many years of hard training and previous heart aches. Well done to them and the rest of the team. Lets hope next year sees a flag for Noble, McStay, Adams, etc.

Bailey’s second goal should’ve been disallowed. Umpire said stay clear, IQ moved out but he stayed in the protected zone hence he was able to smother the kick from Cox

@@vorlons100 I think it's entirely possible with this new coach Craig McRae, I haven't seen the boys working so well together for a long time. Dare I hope for another flag next year, definitely yes.
I have retired abroad, so I will be looking for a good streaming service next year, because this year I just watched the home-and-away replays here on YT, but I flew home to Melbourne in early September to watch the finals live on tv.

only watched this about 20 times
It kills me to say it (because I love every one of our boys) . . . but I was disappointed with Billy F's or Ginny's performances. It's a good thing they were carried on the backs of those who were going hard at it for 4 quarters. I spared a thought for Johnny Noble, who played his heart out for us all season. It's the only blot for me in what was otherwise the perfect day.
Frampton did a job on Harris Andrews. Yes he could have kicked a couple of goals had he not dropped 2 sitters but he kept one of their most dangerous defenders occupied and really Andrews was a non factor, so that's a win for chooka and the club.
I'm so glad you said that, because I rate that as a big contribution, and I've always liked Billy. I'm presuming you don't have much to say in defence of Ginny.@@TAW856

I agree, but only in part. Ginny has now had 2 full years of game experience with us under McCrae --not much less than Nick Daicos. I suspect it has more to do with matters of personal discipline, commitment, and maturity.@@Ruby16663

The Pies deserved that Grand Final, and deserved the win.
Freo let itself down his year, on the back of last years promising final ladder position. So when all hope faded for Freo, I automatically got behind the one team that is always exciting to watch this year and that's the Pies. They earnt my respect and affection this year, and gave me team goals for Freo.

Iv always been a collingwood nuffy and always will be but since 2018 gf loss I feel like it went to a whole new level it genuinely hurt 😅 but after yesterdays win I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders I could only imagine how the players are feeling, I’m so grateful for fly and everything he’s he doing, in every work place it starts from the boss and works it’s way down and you can see from fly to Darcy to leggy being the last person on the list to the volunteers at the club then to the supporters just how much this means to everyone, love this club, always side by side 🖤🤍
