    This is such a short, yet crucial video for beginners. You can’t do much to advance your position if you don’t know the base fundamentals. Appreciate ya!

    What if I accidentally go hands to the chest and am slightly off with my placement

      Hmmm, let’s hope that’s would be an actual accident and not purposeful misplacement

    Wow you just showed some basic fundamentals that will help anyone keep good posture inside closed gaurd. I'm so surprised about all the negative comments. By far, this isn't the only option, just a simple effective option that anyone can use, and it's easy to show a white belt to build upon. If you're more advanced and prefer other methods, then stick to your other methods. But then again, more advanced people would already know that. 😂

      Thank you! Yes these are basics that can help beginners and most advanced people will have to rely on different methods.

    Yep I went hand to chest once and they rotated to try and sweep, accidentally got a handful of bosom and it was a very awkward second.
    I strictly go to bicep or mat now.

    Lol why live feet if you were just sitting back on your feet you won’t get pulled over in the first place you should teach it correctly. If you’re opponent pause their knees to the chest. You are getting your posture broken down.

    eh.... don't want to have to rely on the hands to maintain posture especially in guard. best to use your hips and legs. the reason why he fall forward so easily is cause his hips are not engaged at all and the legs offer hardly any base

    • @teamosirishtx
      @teamosirishtx  Рік тому +4

      You can engage the hips (pelvic tilt) and still have someone on bottom who's able to break your posture. Using your hands it not only to maintain posture, it's also used to grip fight & prevent them from grabbing you when placing hands on the biceps.
