    With the No. 80 pick in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals picked Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton.
    With questions still surrounding receiver Tee Higgins's future, could Burton be the receiver to replace Higgins down the road or provide the solid play seen by Tyler Boyd over the past several seasons?
    In Episode 81 of Bengals On The Brain with Joe Goodberry, presented by First Star Logistics, Goodberry does a deep dive into the past play of Burton and gives his true thoughts on a player Bengals fans are hopeful can help Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense reach another level.

    For his production metrics, there is about 400 yards missed by Milroe just in these games alone.

    Wow, Alabamas quarterback really was terrible! Burton could have had 6TDs ! Man , he is a Beast. I’m excited to watch him play for us! Burrow is going to love the separation he gets! Can’t wait!!!Who Dey!!!

    Bro look at the offense he was in. How many times was he open? Run first offense with a terrible quarterback. He is clearly the best Wr on the team and the qb never even looked his way. He will be an outlier and a great WR 2, mark my words!

    The thing about Latham’s tape, you don’t see the penalty flags. I’m glad he went high too, for different reasons.

    Also Burton looks explosive as hell. Not the best blocker from the looks of it but let’s hope that develops. Should be a lot of fun to watch in this offense.

    Control the line of scrimmage and control the middle of the field on offense ... control the game. Football is a game of board strategies. No wonder Burrow plays the game of chess a lot!
    Jermaine Burton can help control the middle of the field. So can Erick All and Tanner McLachlan. These three are great middle field weapons.

      A sharp mind with a strategist's bent would know better than to take repeated sacks for dat ESPNZ highlight.

      @@Montrovantis Don't you understand what was going on then? There were two issues the O-line and the absence of player personnel for additional play schemes Joe was holding the ball so that recievers could either get open, and/or most likely, holding the ball until wide-outs got down field. Most of his throws were initially long and on the edge, but in my mind, Joe was in need of a TE like Gronk which translates into a huge target that was fast and had great hands. Now we have three: Mike Gesicki, Tanner McLachlan and Erick All, and possibly, Jermaine Burton.
      Glad you're tuned into the Bengals this year, because this promises to be an exciting year with a new demension ... and effort to control the middle of the field.

    His speed looks explosive, Christian Kirk is the deep threat slot in the NFL to me. I've heard Doug Baldwin you said Lockett he looks more explosive then all them to me or maybe it's overall athletism. I'm very excited about adding him & TE's to our offense. RB's should be a little bit more explosive also. Depth at Wr is pretty interesting, I have a ton of confidence in Irwin he could step in for Boyd & not skip a beat.

    Man I really like Jermaine Burton no he's not a finished product an can improve some but Man there a lot 2 like if Bama has a better QB play he could had 1500yds easy I watched a lot of film and Man he was wide open a lot with his route running & speed & vision on the field Joe will love Jermaine he's built kinda like a HB dude he's strong specially in his legs & upper body I heard Jermaine did 21 bench reps for a WR is crazy he's should easily been WR 4 in this class

    Bad QB play seems to be the problem in the Bama game, Burton was open a lot and the ball never came to him

  • @bossesg1
    @bossesg1 Місяць тому

    it almost seems like his QB didn't respect him much, he was wide open on just about every deep route. Either that or poor vision by the QB. Wow having a superfast Tyler Boyd replacement will be interesting. Hopefully he will open up the field more for our other guys, Chase got smothered in some games and didn't look as unstoppable when they doubled him with 2 high.

    not a good blocker, great route runner, we have other options to put in as blockers, like him so much as pure receiver, he can get on a tb level (on the field) really fast as receiver 3. If Tee leaves im very curios if he can fill his boots
