HOW ARE WE FEELING ABOUT PLAYABLE ZELDA???
ALSO: this was streamed live, so apologies for some of the lack of posturing.
i bet if its sells well and is doing good we will get a 3d playable zelda after it
Really good!
Also, just learned that you can use the "." and "," (period and comma) keys to scroll forward or backward by one frame for super precise seeking, if you ever need it.
You're excited seeing the 2 Zora at once but you sir forgot the Oracle of Ages game. That one you had both types of Zora in it. River as an enemy and Sea as the quest givers. The Sea Zora say they aren't as Aggressive as their River Cousins.
i'm excited and cautiously optimistic XD
Zelda - *makes 1000 tables into the sky and elbow drops ganon*
Best comment 😂
Not sure, look at the icons of the things you can spawn, they have a set number of triangles, and Tri uses them to power them up. So you have a limitation
And there's a golden explosion like Incineroar's Ultimate in SSBU
The legend of zelda, a link to the tables.
And then she just bounces on his fat belly into space and the text box says:
*It's not very effective*
Zelda theorists are the only people that can turn a 3 minute clip into a 30 minute analysis
Or a three part series for 6 hours.
(Nbc)
Vaatividya has entered the chat.
You should see One Piece theorists. They turn small comic panels into hour long videos.
oh boy do i have a xenoblade youtuber for you!
You haven't seen Necrit making a 5s teaser into a 2h video
_"Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, hero"_
- Zelda, probably
Zelda is perfectly equipped to defeat the Ender Dragon with that many beds.
I can already hear it. Is it possible to beat? The legend of Zelda echoes of wisdom with only tables.
I can already hear pointcrow screaming at chat
Strange placement of the question mark
@@mbii7667 Why? I see three sentences here. One is a question.
Calling it now, later in the game you're going to be able to acquire Echo Link. You might not rescue him until the very end, but you'll at least get to load him into the staff in the late game.
Sorta like of emptiness but automatons
The triangles above Tri look like they're the amount of items you can manifest at one time
The redead used 3 when it was summoned
Was just going to comment this! The little triangles were disappearing as the tables were created in that first part of Zelda climbing the cliff. I'm wondering if destroying the glowing rock formation resets the charges on the rod?
🤩
@@user-ep9dg1wf5kpossible. Or refreshes your uses.
@@user-ep9dg1wf5k or maybe finding enough of them can upgrade the amount of those triangles you have?
Bro edited with the SWIFTNESS
"OMG IS THAT A ZONAI SWIRL?!"
-NBC
😂
Tbh they need to just make an upgraded spin attack called the “Zonai Swirl” lol
11:09 the first game where you aren’t tossed out or jailed for being a male in gerudo town 😂
Omg i didn’t notice!!!
Although, why would she be sneaking over the wall then?
In Totk, Link earned the right to enter Gerudo Town
I mean you play as Zelda anyway so…
Unless you can play as Sheik
@@jgr7487 why did I first read shrek😭
Links last minute arrow shot made it for zelda to escape. Great start
I didn’t think we would get something like this so early, it’s crazy
One note: Both Zora races also appeared in the Oracle games where it was confirmed that the most fish-based Zora were "Sea Zora" and the green, lizard-based Zora were "River Zora". However, this is the first time we've ever seen them interacting with each other.
Also, I think the River Zora probably occupy those water huts while the Sea Zora reside in Zora's Domain.
"When have we ever had a beach in Hyrule?" Like, half of the perimeter of the overworld in the first game was beach. It's nice to see it again, though!
Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom...
@DX16 Even in the Oracle games! In Oracle of Ages you get jn a Pirateship.
@@LensMusicBox I should play the older zelda games
Link's Awakening!! Lol
@@bigfenix8272Not hyrule but yea lol
Interesting that Tri loses a triangle when you use the rod.
Maybe a cooldown of some kind?
Oh wait, maybe its the cost of each Echo! The Redead had 3 triangles on top
@@JonnZth Yeah, and you can collect more of them. That's why Tri has a differing amount of triangles trailing her.
Oracle games confirm that River Zoras are the enemy ones we see throughout the downfall timeline (ALttP, LA, ALBW, etc) games while Sea Zoras are the ones weve seen in OoT, TP, WW (great flood era), etc.
Yeah, I'm always surprised that no one seems to remember this fact.
Except the ones in the 3d games except Majora’s mask always live in freshwater. The oracle games are a special case
@@RyujishidaI remembered. I was about to comment about this.
@@galacticwooper9060 in all fairness the rules always change between games. It's really just what Nintendo decides to do. Just like how MM zoras could swim in the ocean, granted it's a parallel world but still.
I was about to comment this.
Triangle floating things = number of copys
Looks like some objects use more triangle things than others
There is a redead with 3 triangles above it in the trailer.
Yep, I came to the same conclusion lol
It should work like an energy thing, you use more energy the more powerful the echo is
The zora might be a romeo and Juliet type story
Yeah take my money Nintendo.
They won't get mine. The Nintendo president of America is basically hating on their main customer base
@@miceltusav88 Okay weird
Zelda game or $300Nintendo kit in September- some might say both, but if I have to choose… what seems more exciting 🤔
@@miceltusav88how?

GUYS LINK IS LEFT-HANDED!
18:07 both appeared in Oracle of Ages. The classic ones were called “River Zora,” so I can only assume the newer ones are called “Ocean Zora,” or “Sea Zora.”
Yeah, it’s kinda funny how people forget the Oracle games. They were my favorite games growing up. I played them again recently on the NSO. They still hold up.
Tri looks like it is straight out of Mario Galaxy.
I was thinking it looks like chingling but I totally see luma now
Looks like a Luma without its pointy parts lol
Things I noticed:
- Whenever Zelda spawns an item, one of Tri’s triangles is used up, so we’ll probably be limited on item creation that way.
- Items and monsters only stick around for a few seconds, flashing yellow before they despawn.
- Zelda gets the Trirod in a jail cell that looks similar to the one we find her in in A Link To The Past.
- The area to the right of the castle is snowy hinting at a possible Hebra region, further shown on the cover picture.
Good call-outs
The goblins use 2 triangles, and the fairy has 4
14:20 Look, when Zelda builds, a piece of Tri gets left on the echo (13:43, for example), so it's likely a tracker of how many things you can summon
Finally we're getting a Wand of Gamelon remake!!!
I think Tri is like giraheim or fi, acting like a living inbodyment of something, like the triforce of wisdom
@BanditGames
I didn't see Zonai Sword//Cloak originally.
But I immediately saw the bow and it looks reminiscent of a Construct/Zonaite Bow.
The blue is definitely a callback to the BotW/TotK Royal Family using Blue to signify Royalty/Significant People to the Royal Family.
3:00~3:05
Definitely a construct bow.
And they can alter footage all they want.
For all we know, that is the master sword, recolored.
@@FierceDeity35
It’s a completely different hilt design, but who knows rn? 🤷♂️
(I literally just looked up all the bows and swords used throughout the series and TotK specifically.)
The bow is similar to a Construct Bow, but the larger bits could’ve been simplified animal heads like the Zonaite Bow lol
The hilt of the teal sword is extremely similar to the logo design of the Master Sword’s blade. That geometric teal-green if DEFINITELY Zonai-related whatever the case.
I’m DEFINITELY curious to see what the deal is with the Cloak-why the cloak has a Zonai-themed/based design?
@@gabriellockwood2780 it looks like the phantom sword too
@@hokton8555
Looking closely, it ALMOST resembles the Goddess Sword/White Sword of the Sky(?).
The Master Sword BEFORE it was Forged INTO the Master Sword.
The only giveaway/tell would be if the blue gem/crystal of Fi is in the Hilt-but that specific piece of the hilt was covered up by Link’s hand in this trailer.
The other detail that is different is that the Goddess Sword & Master Sword have the noticeable grip on the handle of the hilt, running along the full grip-being a darker blue on the Goddess Sword, and green on the Master Sword.
Either way, this is DEFINITELY NOT the iconic Master Sword, but is related either way…
I really think the old man is Robbie. He has sheikah tech in his room. The big robot in the cornor looks like Cherry, the robot!
I don't think he's Robbie but I do think he's inspired by Robbie.
@@JaidynReimanImpa's had like 7 different designs over the decades. Robbie can have an incarnation that's similar but different.
from what I've observed, the triangles behind Tri is the number of echoes you can create. with the monsters it looks like a cost of 2 triangles per echo. they are flashing as well so they're obviously temporary allies.
Tri also looks like an armless Luma with a sheikah BoTW desgined face
The "truffle" is a Boulder
I love that there is a companion again
hey look its Wand of Gamelon 2!!!! FINALLY!!!!
I didn't want playable zelda because i didn't think it would fit but looking at how different from the formula this game seems, i think playable zelda will be cool. It's not just a normal zelda game but you play as a different character, it's got it's own identity.
I'm still disappointed lol. I jsut wish we could have had a duoprotagonist thing.
@@hellzreaper1192 we might still. We were only shown early game content and it seems like it'll be a pretty big game. Link will definitely play some part in the game
@mememan5466 In that case, I really want to see Link in the dark world like exploring or fighting under there even for a few scenes!!
lol Hyrule Warriors lol
Link becomes a possessed ENEMY!?
It looks like they're still on their Zonai kick, but maybe it'll give us something about the ancient hero that we have questions about the appearance of in TotK
Bandit less than 1 minute in: IS THAT THE ZONAI!?!?!?!
I think you’re right that the glowing rock things are important - they’re very prominent on the mini-map. I guess dungeon/Shrine entrances? Or maybe just fast travel or respawn points?
One of them is in Gerudo town segment, so a fast travel can be very probable! Doesn't exclude the possibility of them being also shrines like the BotW/TotK ones
I get the whole echo thing now-Each triforce looking thing on Tri’s head represents a charge, and each object takes up a charge of this energy-the triforce thing shows up overhead-this also works with more powerful things, as they can take up more charges (like the redead taking up 3)
Once they run out the object disappears-I wonder if you can get more charges as the game goes on
You can see this is action at 7:24
I doubt that it is right after A Link to the Past, I rather guess that this is taking place after the Oracle Games because this is when Ganon first got revived, maybe this would explain the "Master Sword" in there since it also appeared in the Oracle Games but it might be *a* Master Sword, and not *the* Master Sword if you know what I mean.
And about the Deku Tree dying in OoT, you forgot that he got a Sprout right after Link freed the Forest Temple
But the problem is that, ganon is mindless in oracle, he only wants destruction and only destruction. But we can't exactly have another place unless this is a newest in fallen timeline game beacuse that could be possible (unless it's confirmed to be the hero of legend if so where can I find the conformation)
It’s not the master sword though.
@@voltron77 ya it looks more like goddess sword or lokomo sword of all things
@@voltron77
I am referring to the "Master Sword" as the Version we get from Holundrum and Labrynna, this is the Noble Sword we can Upgrade by exchanging Passwords between the Games, allowing it to become *a* Master Sword and allowing you to harm Ganon without Spin Attacks.
@@Chris-gx1ei oh okay makes sense.
Oracle of Ages established that there are two tribes of Zora, and my headcanon has been for a while that the two tribes interbred and became one leading to the more feral-looking but still friendly Zora we love from the Era of the Wild.
I'm so psyched for this. I'm happy to see them continue the use of the Link's Awakening style. There were so many delicious details they crammed into this trailer. Hopefully that means a return to analysis videos!
Holy Hylia, that was fast!
Bandit coming in with a quickness!!!
2 things. When Zelda meets Tri sge is in a jail cell.
And the triangles on Tri are used to create the echos.
ngl the cape look like twilight ish
So the triangles on the fairy are the amount of echo power you got , and on the selection circle of the echo, on the top, god some triangles to show you his cost.
It’s fun to both be excited and hear you be excited about Zelda again
I'm now realizing that tri has four triangles and every time Zelda makes an echo it uses one except for when she summons a moblin it uses two. You are shown how many triangles it will use by how many triangles are above the circle showing what you will echo.
Some segments show her only with 3 max. So probably the case that you can.upgrade and get the first upgrade early.
13:50 @BanditGames it is most likely Faron due to rainforest like trees and seems quite wet.
18:18
You should play the Oracle Games, there were also two Types of Zoras appearing in the samw Game
Never played but after reading this ima try them! 😆.
@infinitecurlie I recommend keeping in mind that they're basically one story (and it takes a whopping four playthroughs to 100%, if that matters to you) so if you've only got time for one don't expect it to feel super fulfilling at the end.
Also, if you're wondering which to play first, apparently the best order is Seasons -> Ages (S -> A -> A -> S for 100%) but imo it depends on which you enjoy more: Seasons has more combat/action focus, Ages has more puzzle-solving focus. If you're new to 2D Zelda, or GameBoy games in general, I recommend Ages. Embarrassingly, I still have trouble with combat and maneuvering in GBC... Ages was always my favourite 😂
@@KeiranTrickYou want to do Ages first for 100% the two, but typically Seasons is considered the first one in the sequence for canon purposes.
@amandaslough125 interesting! I've only seen opinions on Seasons before Ages in general, 100% or otherwise. What's the benefit of doing Ages first?
"when have we ever had a beach in hyrule?" - bandit
"since..... the beginning." - everyone who played the first zelda
The Sheikah in the house looks like Robbie the machine in the back reminds me of Cherry
The golden glowing rocks are probably fast travel points. You can see one by the cave in the water of the title screen with Zelda on the cliff’s edge but it’s not glowing. Likely because she hasn’t gotten there and activated it yet.
I'd love if the emphasis on environmental puzzles opens up the possibility of some level of dual gameplay in future 3d titles with link and zelda offering different paths along the same adventure like the oracle games
13:36 looks like Faron Woods
I spent some more time looking over the video and here is what I found:
At 12:42 there's also some kind of stamina wheel or air supply in the corner, and the angler fish looks like a scaled down version of the Angler's Tunnel boss from Link's Awakening.
Also since there is a Deku tree near the end of the trailer, we have a good chance of Koroks of Kokiri being in that forst setting too.
This also means the setting from 13:17 was probably not inhabited by either species, so I would assume it would be near the Faron region, or somewhere like Eventide island, if it uses the map from BotW as proposed in the video.
At 8:00 there is another one of those strange stones placed in this village setting, which leads me to believe that it could be used as a method of transportation, like those blue pedestal things in Link's Awakening. It also has a yellow aura around it, so that could be what an activated one looks like.
At 10:52 there is an icon on the minimap that looks a lot like those strange rock structures, but this one has a lock over it.
At 14:46 there is a chest with a lock depicting a horned creature, and the way it is preched above the monsters and how similar it seems to monster camps in BotW, I wouldn't be surprised if it requires all monsters to be killed before it opens. It's also found at 27:26, where it
is also surrounded by enemies.
It's worth noting that the moblins are in both blue and brown / orange variants throughout the trailer, so Nintendo might take the same approach with red - silver enemies they made in BotW / TotK.
There are arrows on top of the echo slots that change throughout the trailer, so that might be the number of uses they get.
On the left side of the cover art shows a village that shows resemblence and the same general artstyle as Hateno Village. The colors match up, and there are silos, and under the Nintendo Switch logo is what seems to be one of the strange Hateno chimneys. If that is Hateno Village, it's worth considering if the house at 15:00 could have been the aincent tech lab.
Here comes Zelda WITH A STEEL CHAIR
Link left handed again
Dude this game looks fantastic, super stoked for it.
THE SPEED OF THIS VIDEO HOLY
Omg I love hearing Bandit so excited about a Zelda game.
I think the glowy rocks are quick travel points
you can see a glowy rock marked on the mini map at 11:10 in front of gerudo town
I love this, thank you for the analysis!
King Jordan of Hyrule, Bandit of the realm
Yes my way to show my admiration because you're too quick (by the way Zonai control the world)
I just realized... This feels kinda like Epic Mickey
Great to have u back Bandit with your Zelda magic
That forest is very Faron Woods esque.
The forest looks very tropical - notice the parrot and the palm trees. Interesting.
I'm thinking maybe zelda meets up with link, but he's incapable of returning to hyrule, so she just makes an echo of him to fight for her
I wonder if the opening of the game has you as an overpowered Link fighting Ganon and then after you beat the game as Zelda you can play as Link. Or maybe Zelda saves Link in the middle of the game and the you play as both swapping between the characters to solve more puzzles. And then taking on the final boss as both Link and Zelda.
Look at his bow!!! Zonai bow when he’s falling… so I totally agree about the sword
I thought it looked like the Phantom Sword from Phantom Hourglass. I doubt it's Zonai, but their name is always welcome
13:40 palm trees of a jungle area... Donkey Kong cameo confirmed! Haha
bro called for the gods of speed to get this out this fast
I'm so tickled they hired Jason Marsden (Max goof, Haku, Thackery Binkx, Boone) to narrate this ad. It really adds to it for me.
Imagine if Zora actually end up living in those water huts
I just noticed something, tri’s triangles are probably used to summon echoes and different echoes cost different triangles, you can see that there are floating triangles above the head of the underwater fish echo when Zelda summons it and you can probably gain more triangles through exploration or something like that.
I was definitely iffy at first but your videos always get me intrigued 😂
12:37 nevermind that Zelda spawns the boss from Angler's Tunnel in LA
the amount of triforce symbols behind tri changes when zelda creates an echo of an object or enemy, probably to balance it more
Don’t know if someone already pointed it out but at 7:50 when he points out the rocks with the yellow gems, the rock is the exact same shape as the little symbol in the bottom right hand corner next to the little Zelda icon… so maybe it’s like a charging thing? 🤔 or maybe she has to collect them? 😃
For the timeline placements it's either in the downfall timeline at the end or in between alttp and awakening,
either at the end of the downfall before the theorized convergence of timeline,
either it's after totk in the theorized demise timeline with events happening parallel to the alttp era,
or either it's in between oot and alttp and it would explained how the dark world and lorule were created with the void eating hyrule.
a playable link scenario happening either during the game or unlocked in a Ng+ would be dope
Bandit TOTALLY doesn’t have a crush on the silver fox Aonuma, he just wants to wake up in the man’s shirt is all.
The number of triangles around Tri lowers everytime Zelda places something, 1 for inanimate objects and 2 each for the moblins and the yellow piranha plant thing. It seems like we can only place a certain number of echoes at a time. Maybe it’ll work kind of like heart containers or spirit orbs and we unlock the ability to place more things later in the game. I also have a feeling that you’re only going to be able to save a limited number of echoes at a time. Maybe 10-15 to force the player to strategize what to use and when. That and so we don’t have an endless single line of items like in Tears.
11:52 notice at the top there’s two triangles to indicate that the robin takes up two triangles force energy triangles from Tri. And there’s shots in the trailer that shows tri with four triangles. And there were two left after she made one of the Moblins
The link being playable comment makes me hopeful for 2 player
Timestamp 24:34 →
The summoned allies use the triangles that float above Tri. You can see it happen when Zelda summons a skulltula.
If Tri doesn't have enough triangles, you likely won't be able to summon an ally.
Probably Tri is a manifestation of the shattered triforce of wisdom
Looks like a intriguing game
About the glowing rocks, I wonder if they're warp points. They're marked on the mini map in both the scene we first seen one and in the lower right corner of the shot where Zelda copies the box, and if you look at the panning shot over Hyrule castle after Zelda escapes the rift, you can see an unlit one on the little island in the lake.
Welcome back Bandit! Should've known that the latest Nintendo Direct would summon you
Link's sword reminds me to the white sword from the first game.
22:03 the center of the eye if you rotate them 90degrees it looks like the holes on those glowing gold rock formations you picked out earlier that also show up on the map
i watched the trailer twice before this and you caught a lot of things that I missed. Kudos!
so excited for a new top-down 2d Zelda game only 100 days away!!!!!
Bro wtf. At least let me finish my morning poop
I'm super glad that the rumored Princess Zelda The game is a mainline title. I hope the world is huge and it would be awesome if it connected the older games with the botw and totk era.
We need an „this is insane“ counter.
A detail you missed that probably everybody else is screaming about is that because there's ganon it has to be in the downfall timeline or have some shenanigans for another timeline!
Oh also I was surprised you didn't mention that there's a ton of overlap in Hyrule with A Link to the Past mainly visible in the first shot with Zelda being on a pathway behind a lake with some islands next to a stone bridge leading to an area full of rocks in a grid with a bridge leading to hyrule castle which is right in the center with a big moat and Tal Tal heights in the back. Notably they're adding a ton with the gerudo desert and death mountain moving but there's so many similarities.
