My first semester at Berklee Killian Duarte asked me to record cello on a school project of his. Very nice guy.
To my ear, it sounds larger than a dingwall bass, very tonally diverse, and the clarity is off the charts! Wow!!!
But it's more fun to say I'm playing with my dingwall.
Beautiful bass.
That all neck tone is awesome
it's incredible
That is in the wish list full blast
Awesome!
I just want a 6x2 12 string bass kiesel. Also Roy does too, they’re kinda badass.
My dream bass 😭
Kiesel is #1!
where is the Q & A shop tours ???
Very well presented!
Kilian is the friggin GOAT
Huge Mark Michell fan here. I was so hating on this dude when it all went down. I see now that he is in Scale the Summit for a reason. A cool dude and a beast on the bass! respect paid.
I have that hat!
That riff at 4:44 sounds very cool... what song is this? Also I'm slowly falling more and more in love with Kiesel basses... imagine a fretless Zeus 5 string :d
Any chance of a Vader multiscale bass?
They’ve got one now.
The bass looks amazing! But...the contrast on the video darkens the bass so much it's hardly visible. Showcase that bad boy!
Someone explain to me, what exactly is a MULTI SCALE Bass??
BlackRoots UNLIMITED TShaka Roots Mayanja it means that the length spanned by the lower strings is different than that spammed by the higher strings. This enables a more natural wrist progression, which can theoretically be protective against inflammatory conditions of the wrist (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome).
Look at how, in the video, the frets on this bass seem to be slanted. That’s what a multi scale fretboard looks like.
Hope that helps!
You know how most basses have relatively rectangular necks? A multiscale bass has a trapezoid neck. It evens out the tension across the strings.
@@TheBladeSephara it's NOT for ergonomics. It's for string tension, because B strings are always floppy otherwise.
That is certainly true, and probably the main drawing point for most people. It is also (arguably) more ergonomic, as the wrist is able to remain in a more neutral position along the neck whilst fretting on a fanned fret (multi-scale) instrument!
Great design honestly for a whole host of reasons!
Fanned frets seems like a kind of a fad or a gimmick to me. There is nothing wrong with a 34" scale on a 4 or 5 string bass. Loose, floppy strings move more air and sound great! Heck, some folks love short scale basses for that very reason...
Website doesn’t offer a 7 string bass

I wish Kiesel would make a Flying V or an Explorer version.
They've did a flying v. I think it was called V220 ¿?
You have to improve your marketing. It’s very dificult to see the page and is very rarelly the page opens. Please redesign the page , beautiful guitars but poor marketing...
Bc rich is far worse than Kiesel lol
@@MOOSE_KKFTK Bc rich is worthless compared to kiesel
But does it cost an arm and a leg
It’s actually a pretty decent price, even for a custom model! You can get a bass with your own wood choices and all that for a little under $2000, depending on what you want.
the riff around 3:30 is so sick
Orgasmic tone
Iago Pedroni right? Very processed, as my Kiesel Icon sounds like cold poo
No four string for low B
Still butthurt Mark isn’t in STS anymore lol
Love these basses tho
If it was 37" scale i would have bought with no second thought
this bass must have been an english major, its articulate as fuck...
Hard to hear over those drums.
35 isn't long enough.
you can still see that string clearly flapping about.
RCynic string is flopping because of the shutter speed of the camera and high frame rate, just like it as an effect when I end up shooting stringed instruments. Cheers m8
@@zenbeastaudio5191 but it's only the A/B string.
At 1/120 60fps I wouldn't expect a tight string to look like that.
I'll note I've played 34 inch 5 strings and it's pretty flappy. I couldn't imagine 1 inch being the difference at least on bass.
35 inch 5 string is the standard, and its flapy af

drums are too loud
I guess J Ferro is dead?
