My advise is, only trade directional options. (calls and puts ONLY) Look at the Delta and open interest, thats it. Keep it simple! Knowing more about more ways to trade options doesnt mean your chances increase. You may thank me 3-4 years down the road. Good luck!
The slide shown at about minute 3 is the first explanation that I've ever seen on the Internet to date that shows options and their effect or rather what to expect with selling and buying them, which is altogether in one easy place to view. I wish I had this slide, when I started trading options. And, I would highly suggest anyone just starting to trade options, to print this out and keep it in front of them until the understanding of what is on that slide is burnt into their mind. 😁😁
