That is such high dollars.
Some men are born to greatness. Others have greatness thrust upon them. Still others play the banjo.
Some people are born great. Others have the banjo thrust upon them
This is the best album promo I have ever watched.
What's amazing is you caught your epiphany on camera.
Easily the best looking banjo player in the Punch Brothers. Looking forward to see you play this Friday!
yeah, easy when you see the rest of the Punch Brethren....and I would be looking more forward to hearing him than seeing him even at that. lol.
GREAT LOOKING and SOUNDING banjo, anyway!! GO NOAM!!!
I'm three years late discovering this. I'm crying laughing. Well done.
It's sad how long it took me to realize this was a joke.
Noam is so cool. His humor is very funky. Even in person.
Like my eyebrows looked funky and we took a pic. He said not to tag him because he hadn't had his eyebrows done.
Lol! 😂 😝
You, sir, are the deadpannest deadpanner to ever deadpan. Also, is that a Milk Carton Kid as your alarm clock!?
I watch this about once a week. So hilarious!
Hands down one of the best videos on youtube...
I'm liking this guy more all the time!
Omg, I love the Elliot Smith nod. This video slaps Noam. I just discovered you and call me impressed. You're my favorite diva.
Wait where was the "Elliott smith nod"?
Ah, the best promotional me video existing on the net !!! Love it !!
Greatest banjo player ever and greatest "teaser" for a album. Can't wait till friday!
When the narcissism and sarcasm are tuned just right, you get a great Pikelny album, I suppose. Banjo on mister.
Outstanding! Who knew the iceman was this funny?. I guess Cailin did. This is a masterpiece.
One of the best films of any kind I've seen in a while! The album sounds great too.
This is really great! I remember jamming with you and your Dad in Illinois years ago. My Dad, Gary Urbanski, would love it too! He passed recently, but I am sure he is smiling down from heaven. One word, Amazing...
Picked with him at Beanblossom around 2010 and didn't have a clue I'd become such a fan or I'd have gotten his autograph!
This is gold.
This is the best!
Wow... my compliments on how good this is. If Tom Hanks ever gets sick you can do the replacement job very well I think. I'm gonna watch this over and over again ;)
I was thinking the same thing! Something reminded me of Tom Hanks! 😂
especially when he's crying, he looks a lot like him
so now?
Universal Favorite買って聴いた。名盤!Noamもっと歌って!!
Dammit that telecaster riff hit me direct in my happy place.
He is a gem!
laughed so hard I cried and I'm not even embarrassed about it
I love this so much! I've seen Noam three times - twice with the Punch Brothers and once solo at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago (for the Universal Favorite Tour). The humor in this video just continued even more at the solo show. It was so fantastic!
Also, I agree...he is the hot Punch Brother!
I just heard your song on the radio, and went from listening to that video to this one. Looks like I stumbled upon a gem! I love deadpan... and bluegrass
please, lawd, let there be outtakes for this somewhere.
That's some good stuff right there. And some half decent banjo playin' to boot. This young fella might be goin' places.
good choice, great promo. my favorite was the 2nd steel guitar alarm clock. so glad to hear you playing guitar! A
This is delightful.
You got an awesome sense of humor along with amazing banjo playing.
Words cannot describe the brilliance of this video. I bow to your genius.
Dear Noam, about 11 years ago I listened to you on APHC and your song The Broken Drought really made me appreciate a totally different genre of music that I had never understood before. Just know that as an artist, your music from both before and of now still has the power of good in our world. Thank you so much for who you were, are, and will be; regardless of what you intended when you wrote a piece, I believe your music finds a way to teach us something. Something that I myself still haven't come to turns with, but I still know there's a lesson somewhere in there. Thank you so much.
Hilarious. First time I saw Noam he was playing banjo with Leftover Salmon. At the start of the show he told a joke, "What did the sushi chef say to the bee? Wasabi?" Been a fan ever since.
This is the best thing I’ve seen on UA-cam in a longtime, thanks man!!
Love it, Noam. Hope you're well. Mark
Acoustic Superhero whose power is having intonation so great that orchestras tune to him.
What a hoot!
He is world famous in my eyes.
wishing you all the big bucks on this album!!
Brilliant. I may be 4 years late but damn Noam this is so good!
This cracked me up,I wasn't expecting it,And i had a hard day today.lol
awesome!
He's brilliant, but his affinity for humility will only allow him to call himself really great.
This was awesome!
thanks Noam, for the laughs and the music....
This movie changed my life
This is everything
Champagne out of a boot while in a bath robe! I love it.
Eating cap'n crunch alone at night. I've never seen someone hit rock bottom so hard. He didn't even use milk.
Amazing.
Good job Noam, good job....
Saw the first show in Bellingham last night. Fucking beautiful. And this video is a great representation of the experience.
This guy's one fine musician
Good as gold!!
This is...true perfection.
I LOVE THIS SOOOO MUCH! So Funny! Great way to promote the album. I'm ready to buy!
You're a GENIUS! (Literally)
I LOVE THIS!!
This made my day!
I'm glad I know more about his life now
This is awesome! Definitely following in Steve Martin's footsteps!
Hysterical. Very creative. Love the music.
If Jim Halpert from the Office had a long lost brother....I think that guy would be you! Great playing and saw you live a few weeks ago. Really enjoyed the show!
Proud of you Noam!!
I eagerly await Noam Pikelny's new record Accordion Favorites.
Excellent work with the new album and with this film, Noam! Really enjoyed watching this and seeing the ourdoor, home, and studio scenery in Nashville.
Dude, how have I never seen this, I'm such a fanboy. This is hiarious!
Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This man is a legend.
Heck yeah! This man is a genius

Honestly I think Steve martin found a comedy genius ...

This is brilliant. Nice work, pickles.
The hot Punch Brother.
Love it♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love it! Can't wait for Asheville show!
Very entertaining, and excellent filming.
this film is the acoustic heir to Spinal Tap. Well played, sir. and hilarious
The “ I’m killin it “ priceless
This was great
Great sense of humor
When you go solo, you REALLY go solo.
Hilarious. Up there with Jon Benjamin's "well i should have..." Why am I just seeing this now?
it is rare for a once in a century messianic figure who transcends humanity so uniquely to remain this humble and level-headed. Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton, Noam Pikelny.
Brilliant ! :)
Musical talent - and a huge sense of humour, too. Banjo, guitar, that strange, beautiful resonator thingy; I forgot the great voice, too. What a b*st*rd! He should be ashamed of being so talented.
I love that dry sense of humor. Weight of the world. Indeed, LOL.
Saw The Punch Brothers on Colbert Last night…checked out several videos, ended up here as I enjoy the banjo and yes HE IS HOT but his humor crushes it👍👍
Thank you Steve Martin for tweeting his banjo zoom conference with all those dingbats (sorry you are included). I have now discovered Noah. I enjoyed this production: THE MAKING OF UNIVERSAL FAVORITE video.
Funny - do you and Steve perform together. It would be a very dry show. :)
I knew the errant sock in the room was a sign of something.
I love the milk carton kids cameo
