I cannot believe I just heard you say 80 years old! You are such a great inspiration to keep creating and following our dreams. Your voice is So youthful ❤
@melloneyward. Good Morning, Thank you so much for your sweet comment. We are so happy you like the video. You will love making these they are so much fun to do. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
I can't wait to try this. It was great seeing all the different effects. I actually liked the lady with tissue paper, it would be cool in a grungy journal. New subscriber 😀
@Nannalynne. Hi, We are so happy to have you as a new subscriber! Thank you! These little circles are really fun to make. We loved getting feed back and ideas from our viewers. It made for a fun and informative video. We have a new video coming out where we are using tulle in a similar way. It really gives a great look to ephemera and journaling pages. We should have it up on the channel soon. Also, our new monthly "Freebee" with be featured in a new video on Monday. Hope you can check them out. Thanks again for subscribing. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
We will definitely try that Carole @carolebest2349 we are going to order some die's and try that! ☺And the nail file is perfect especially for working with small pieces. Thank you for the tips!
Thank you for coming back & doing a part two and showing more tips with this process! I popped over to your KoFi shop, thanks to your link & purchased the digital for your project. I followed your KoFi while there & have subscribed to your YT, as well. I think I’ll use my scotch glue stick rather than Yes paste, and I might try using just mixed media gel over the digital instead of wax paper (since I don’t have any). I really appreciate your ideas for inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing what you tried & your suggestions moving forward. Gilly.
@missgilly9917 Hi, Wow, thank you so much for your purchase and subscribing to YT and following on Ko-Fi. We really appreciate it! We love you are going to try a little different method in making this project. That is the great thing about YT, you can get so much inspiration from other crafters and then put your own spin on it. We are putting up new digital sets for this project on Ko-Fi and Etsy today. We are going to try your idea about the mixed media gel on them. Thanks so much for your comment! ❤😊Patti and Debbie
Hi ladies another great tutorial I wish I had found your channel much sooner but better late than never I will go through all your old tutorials and try and catch up lol I,m really enjoying watching and listening to you both tfs ❤ alison
Patti & Debbie, these are all great. Debbie, I love the 2 you put together. Those would look amazing on a Christmas Tree. Thanks for sharing this & subbies questions!
@paulafowler3597. Hi Paula, Thanks so much for your nice comment. Debbie's piece would look great on a Christmas Tree. That design set of circles will be in our shop by this evening. We had a lot of fun with this video, we want to do more like it. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
@margarethhartman1176 Hi Margareth, love the glitter glue idea, especially if doing these for holidays. Contour old gold would be really pretty as well. Thanks for the tip. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
FYI: I cut wax paper with both it sandwiched between my cutout (I used cardstock) and alone with just shaped punches, and it worked fine. I used glitter ModPodge, and it looked pretty. I also used my brayer, not a rolling pin, which was small and very convenient to use on my card making desk area. 🙂
@abcameo Hi, Wow, that is great! I was wondering if something like that would work. Makes the process much easier. I bet the glitter ModPodge did look great! That would be especially pretty for holidays. Glad to hear the brayer worked. We had other viewers ask about that. We are thinking about doing a Part 3 to this video series and if we do we will do your ideas so other viewers can see how they work. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤😊
I love your pieces. They are adorable. Can you use cereal bags in the place of wax paper ? I have a prayer. It's so much easier to use than a big rolling pin !!
@junerobbins6871 Hi June, You know we don't know why cereal bags wouldn't work. Maybe not as waxing as wax paper but you will be using glue or ModPodge anyway so we would give it a try. We are going to try it! A brayer would work but you would need to add more pressure than with the rolling pin because brayer is lighter weight. We are getting so many questions about methods we did not show in previous videos we might do another video. If we do we will definitely try these methods in the video. Thanks for your questions. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
Great video! Thanks! Using a spray sealer/fixative before you put the mod podge on could help keep the ink from bleeding. Don't know what effect the sealer would have on the finished piece if an iron is used. Might be worth a try!
@SuttleImpressions. Hi, That is a really good idea. We will try that. Don't know about the iron but it would work with Big Shot and rolling pin, we would think. We will try the iron and see what happens. Thanks so much for your suggestion.❤😊 Patti and Debbie
@susancarvey9063 Hi Susan, We do have a video on how to make the envelope it’s the “Three Envelope Junk Journal Folio with Pockets and Belly Band.” We posted it on September 16, 2024. @wendygale4808. Hi Wendy, Yes, it lasts quite a while. We use it on many projects we sell in our Etsy shop and for video demonstrations every week and a jar lasts us about 5 to 6 months. That comes out to about $5 per month. We like it because it is "no fail". One of our viewers just sent a comment and said she found it on Amazon for a less expensive price under another name. We asked her if she would share the name because we would all be interested in that. If she shares that information we will be sure to share that with everyone. Thanks so much for watching our videos! ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
@robinhodge880 Hi Robin, No we haven't tried embossing powder but that is a cool idea. We have had so many questions and tips from you viewers that we may do a part 3 to this video. If we do, we will try out this suggestion in that video. We definitely will try this for our own projects. Thanks so much for the idea.❤😊 Patti and Debbie
Hey there! I'm new to your channel and exploring the craft world. I love this idea....so many ways to expand on it! I found the commentary a little confusing....It felt like ya'll were confused and had to keep going back and forth with each other. I got a little lost
@kimberlysturgis4822. Hi Kimberly, We are happy you liked this idea. We are sorry you felt lost. We work as a team and we had been making samples of ideas and questions from our viewers. We each made different pieces and when we presented them in the video we had to ask each other about the details of the pieces we each made. When you are making so many items with so many different techniques it sometimes takes a minute to remember your exact process. We do not edit our videos so you see them in a real life format. We don’t think of our videos as tutorials, they are more like demonstrations of our crafting techniques and style. Our main focus is to present projects we think our viewers would like and have fun in the process. We hope you will check out some of our other videos and a new one we will be listing on Monday. Thank you for your comment, we appreciate our viewers input, it makes for better videos in the future. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie

I cut with a die and cut the wax paper at the same time and I use an emery board to sand small items like this. Love the idea
We will definitely try that Carole @carolebest2349 we are going to order some die's and try that! ☺And the nail file is perfect especially for working with small pieces. Thank you for the tips!

Thank you for this video today. I was wondering your opinion if instead of using an oil pen, have you tried building wax??
My typing is horrid, I thought I typed guilded wax...the metallic wax...silly me!

@susietruelove3657. Hi Susie, You will have a lot of fun making these! ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
I didn’t need to use my dizziness or a rolling pin. I just used my bone folder and was patient in letting go it dry.
@tannabella6071. Hi, Thanks for letting us know about the bone folder. That is a great tip. We will pass that on in future videos. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
Have you tried embossing powder for the top coat?
@robinhodge880 Hi Robin, No we haven't tried embossing powder but that is a cool idea. We have had so many questions and tips from you viewers that we may do a part 3 to this video. Didn't the scorch just make it more vintage?😊
@cybercrafter8588. Hi, A little scorch probably would have but mine was majorly scorched. 😂 Not too pretty! ❤😊 Patti
Mybe try distressing edges b4 you do the wax paper :)
@charlenelundberg9479 Hi Charlene, that is a good idea. We will try that. Thanks for the tip! ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
Don't understand why you use the wax paper
@judiemjacobson4613. Hi Judie, The wax paper is applied because it gives a textured vintage feel to the pieces. As you can see in the video it is not mandatory when making these.
