I can’t speak for softball but there’s a specific technique for it to not be as hard on your skin. After doing it for so long your body just slowly changes to avoid having a raspberry. I know softball has different material on the field but that’s just my experience.

The Baseball was in the Olympics too. In Barcelona 1992 it was only Baseball. And in Atlanta 1996 the Softball was also inclued in the games, but Baseball was still there. In Beijing 2008 was the last Olympic that the two sports was in. And in Tokyo 2020 both will be back!
King Potato I know it’s an opinion. However I would have to disagree on it being fast paced for the sole reason that in baseball everything happens quicker due to the ball travelling at a much higher speed. You can argue that the pitch in soft ball is fast but you simply can’t generate the same spin and speed with an underarm throw
I feel like the announcer lady should be hosting a Wiggles concert or something rather than an OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL event. I dunno I just kinda get that vibe from her voice.
@@crystalhill4058 Why was the umpire way out from the right shoulder of the catcher when the pitch was an outside call on the batter to the left shoulder of the catcher. It's not where the ball is at the time of the call. It's where the umpire is positioned to make the correct call. And slowing the video down, the umpire made an error. The umpire was consistent throughout the whole game. Being human we make errors same as players, But HEY!!! I'm not complaining Great game for finals.

Following on from that the following runner showed respect for the USA pitcher who was blocking home plate which the runner was entitled to slide into but opted to go round to be called OUT.
They can introduce even softball to olympics, but still cannot include any format of cricket? They are waiting till they get their teams to become stronger? So unfair, lol.
