Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to film and post your maintenance. I didn't understand a word but what I got from your video was, if it's not working properly, take it apart and have a go. My Alko tow hitch is seized and doesn't pull back out, therefore leaving the brakes on. I don't think a new damper will fix it (although may be an additional problem) but I'm now full of confidence to at least take it off and have a look.
I’m happy my video could help you. One thing you missed is you can use English subtitles. Just turn them on. I do translate all my videos to English.

Is it easy to put the handbrake back on. I've took mine of to replace and I've noticed the new ones are different. Mine says 161s on the coupling but my handbrake is same as yours and the new 161s handbrakes look different

What symptoms were you having when towing to know it was bad?
Hit with bang when braking and the same when accelerating after stop.
