Shivkumar Sharma and Hariprasad Chaurasia - The Valley Recalls
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 сер 2024
- This performance is a sequel to a blockbuster Call Of The Valley album released in 1967 by EMI. The maturing of Sharma and Chaurasia is visible in their presentation of their music and despite a huge gap since their previous duet, the clear fusing of their minds and music is simply magical! It is as natural and seamless as one could possibly imagine! Hearing this concert on a CD gave one flutters but to see it being performed visually makes one fully realise what an incredible performance this is! Apart from the pedigree, it is better to identify The Valley Recalls more as iconic in its own right rather than a sequel, per se, to what in the 1960s was a mould breaking effort to bring classical music in an idiom more widely acceptable and enjoyable.

what a beauty ! Twenty years behind- as a budding listener and humble, I spent my available fortunes buying a music India cassette and played and played. The chronograph of time has never passed through, it transcends the same emotion ,rather a layer more , at the absolute divinity of the geniuses . A marvel for life.
My brother and I bought 24 years ago, the original "Call of the Valley" cassette....never forget those wonderful days discovering Hariji, Shiv, Bismillah Khan, everybody really, including the Mishra Bros....we're still on the transcendent journey...Peace.

Nothing can be compared with this masterful piece. Unfortunately Dr Sharma is no more but he is very much alive with his innovative handling of this very difficult instrument.
May he rest in peace! A true master, pandit Shivkumar.
@1.21.00, Pt.ShivKumar Sharma says "I dont take credit. It is because of God's will." Very well said sir. I am a fan of you because of that.
Wisdom speaks
With this music I can close my eyes and easily pretend to be a feather floating around in a green meadow somewhere taking me where the breeze wants to take me. Never putting me down but keeping me afloat in perfect equillibrium where divinity and nature meet. Thank you for this.
I have been listening both artists since 1972. Always soothing and relaxing experience. May God give them a long life.
one is died since 2015 unfortunately this is life
@@aaccaacc6800 Wrong. Sharma died in 2022. Chaurasia is still alive.
As I become more and more enchanted with Chaurasia's gifts, I become more at peace in the moments in the stream of experience.
So beautiful, Music of Vishnu, earth music, life music, love music.

pareil pour moi, j'habite dans les Alpes, d'autres vallées
Viaggiavo in Kashmir con solo una musicassetta, era di Kumar Sharma, e adesso lo riascolto anche per rivedere la valle, ad occhi chiusi.
This is music achieving perfection.
Mahro Pranam 🙏🏼🌺 to these great humans and modest and real musicians 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The introduction of Panditjis itself is very soothing. What a clear and calming voice :)

Both are great legends, but they are so down to earth, humble and polite. The admiration tbat they have for each other is adorable. Music has moved them from human to divine.

It was a blessing... a joy to have known you Masters of the masters of the wonderful Santoor...and the Indian flute...
Listening to two great Indian classical music played was the delight of my long night walks, when I listened both...
Today you left us physically great Master Pt.Shivkumarji but your Santoor continues to "sing" ad eternum here on earth, to remind us of the divinity that dwells in us
The birds here on earth will miss you.... 🏹🕊️🥀
The Angels will rejoice in Heaven... 🥀🥀🥀

Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia seems to be unaware that he is already the world's greatest bansuri player! As such, he will not have to wait for a future life to achieve and enjoy it.

interpretation is in the mind. if one chooses to interpret something as such, then it is of one's own doing. perhaps one is not even aware as to why or where one got the idea in the first place, nonetheless, the problem is with self

Amazing...lindo!!!
Music, dance and art cut across 3Cs3RsL (pronounced ' threeceesthreearsel ' ) i.e. caste, colour, creed, religion, region, race and language. All of them from time immemorial have been used by mankind to experience, rejoice, enjoy in addition to their inherent and constituting elements of soothing the mind and the heart, the subtle parts of the human body.
A POLITE CORRECTION: THE INTRODUCTORY SPEECH FOR THE LP "CALL OF THE VALEY" WAS INCOMPLETE. THE RECORDING INVOLVED THREE PRIME VIRTUOSOS: SANTOOR,(PANDIT SHIV KUMAR SHARMA); FLUTE (PANDIT HARI PRASAD CHAURASIA) AND GUITAR (PANDIT BRIJ BHUSHAN KABRA), BESIDES THE RHYTHM-MAESTRO (NAME?) AND OTHER MUSICIANS (NAMES?). WAS IT NOT PUBLISHED IN 1965? THIS IS TO COMPLIMENT THE ESSENTIAL CREATORS OF THE IMMORTAL PIECES OF MUSIC IN THT LP. .
My dear Sir, please don't post comments with all capital letters. It is interpreted as shouting.
is it really a necessity of all types of classic singers be vocal or instrumental to infuse headache in the first half of their rendition and thereafter to give blissful heavenly music to the soul ,heart and even to the brain.
no words
Lindo...:)
Beautiful introduction ❤️🔥🙏
رائع

Who is Tabla artist? He was also good. All artists should be acknowledged.

Iam free
who is the narrator ? i wish i could speak like him ...
Narrator is Harish Bhimani
May I ask when and where was this exemplary concert held?
Is this all improvisation?
Indian classical is 95%+ improvisation.
For your honour I am using small letters although it is HARDER READING. Your interpretation is misconstrued, may I submit to you with grreat humility. A TEXT IS SOUNDLESS. Your message is soundless too. But, i is shouting more, asit is not contextual.Wish you well. .
