    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому +1

      I got a little bleeding on the second one but otherwise nothing. I would say the secret would be to get VERY little paint on the brush. So dip in the paint and get most of it off before starting on your stencil. Just go over the area several times instead to get the coverage you are looking for. Also a brush like these where I use an up and down motion is helpful. If you use a brush from side to side, you can also get more bleeding.

    These are sweet! I am new to all of this. I have a handwritten recipe from a long-passed family member. Is there a way to transfer that onto a piece of fabric or tea towel? Ideas and search suggestions welcomed. You're a great teacher, by the way.
    Also, this may be a question with an obvious answer, but I am new so will ask anyway. What is the difference in the stencils between freezer paper versus vinyl?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      You can take a picture and upload the recipe to Design Space. It may take some time to clean it up enough to cut. Then you could do the HTV or the stenciling methods with it I would think!
      I don't think there is a difference between the stencil methods other than preference. I actually prefer the freezer paper but sometimes people can't find it or they want to use what they already have at home.

    Where did you buy your polyester tea towels?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      One of them is discontinued and the other I found at Conde (dyetrans dot com).

    did you use Cricut removable vinyl to make the stencil for "just beat it"

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      You can use removable or permanent. Either one works.

    I have a question. I am new to Cricut, a friend said they have vinyl at our Dollar Tree have you used this or is it worth trying. Thanks, I love your channel

      I have tried it some but didn't love it. I plan to do a full review.

    What kind of paint did you use for the vinyl stencil?

    For polyester tea towel can you sublmiate on bothe sides?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Рік тому

      You can. Careful when you do the other side. Be sure to use protective paper to keep the ink from getting on your press or mat.

    If you let the paint dry and then peel the stencil would that cause a problem?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому +1

      I personally don't like to do it that way. I find that sometimes the paint lines won't be as crisp if I let it dry.

      These two came from Artesprix and Conde.

    Can you use infusable ink on 100% cotton towels?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      No. Infusible Ink needs polyester to react. At least 65% polyester is best.

    Is there a method you think washes better than others without bleeding?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      None of these should bleed at all. Infusible Ink or Sublimation would last longer most likely but they would all hold up for a long time.

    What fabric paint are you using? Do you have care instructions?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      I like FolkArt fabric paints. They usually have some instructions on the bottle.
